We 34 and 35 Years old live in an old but renovated farmhouse in a small town between Berne and Basel.. Guests have free internet connection (wired or WLAN).Room with double bed in the ground floor

We join a large garden with BBQ area (for approximately 15 to 20 people). There is a (fairly limited) possibility in the village for shopping (supermarket, postoffice etc.) and evening entertainment (bars, restaurants and hotels). The next larger town (Langenthal) that offers a lot more shopping and entertainment is approximately 10 minutes by car or 25 minutes by bicycle (various bikes and ebikes available, free of charge).

We also have a train station (10 minutes with bike from the house). This station will connect to all major lines and touristic areas in Switzerland.

From here, you can travel to any place here in Switzerland, or even abroad. In the summer the various hiking trails and mountain climbing areas are very popular. In the winter, of course, skiing is the most obvio... more inside

Hi!

We live in the German part of Switzerland in an old farmhouse built in 1732. We would love to host and meet new people and share experiences at our farm. We are Anna and Markus and we’ve been married for 25 years with two children. My daughter Rebecca recently became a registered nurse (we are very proud parents!) and she lives in Zurich. She visits us every other few weeks so hopefully you will meet her too. Our son Matthias on the other hand is currently in California for his studies. Markus is a farmer and I, Anna a trained gardener. We also have 3 sweet and lovely cats as part of our household.

We always need help in the farm. Between now and October, we are busy picking and storing fruits such as berries, apples, plums and pears for the winter. Our cows love to eat apples so we feed them a share of the harvest. At home, you will help us sort and cut fruits and vegetables, weeding, gardening, baking (we like to make our own bread) prepare meals and other normal tasks a... more inside

Hy there!
We are a young couple, Isabelle and Adrian and we live in a little house in Engelburg. It's very close to St.Gallen, which is a beautiful city to discover. We could need a bit help in and around the house. For example our windows should be cleaned or our walls need to get painted! :) Apart from that we probably don't have so many things to help us with. We prefer short stays (1-5 nights). We'd love to have a helper in october sometime between 8th and 20 th of october 2018. So if you're willing to paint walls and if you'd like to spend some time in beautiful st.gallen area, you're very welcome to come & stay :)

best wishes, isabelle & adrian

hi everybody!
We live in a big house in the Swiss alps, in the Italian part, in an amazing spot!!
We are grandmother Laura, mother Catalina, my son Om (9 years old) and another young boy, Sami (15 years old) , who lives here.

We look for somebody from September 2018 to February 2019 because I (Catalina) will be at school 2 evenings per week plus some Saturdays all day long, and Laura is going to travel…so I need some help at home with the children.
Mainly I ask to be present for Om and Sami on Tuesdays from 16:00 on, and cook dinner, Wednesday morning wake them up and give breakfast to them, then again Thursday from 16:00 on, and Friday morning….
This is the main thing, but also helping with the house keeping in general.
If you can teach some music, or English or some other interesting things to the boys and to us, would be super!
We offer food and a room.
The house is big, it has a garden, an atelier, living rooms, massage room, beemer to watch films on a wall, big kit... more inside

Our home is a centre for the practice of Yoga for the local community in one of the most beautiful parts of Switzerland. It offers easy access to many safe walking trails in the southern Swiss Alps, as well as being close to Chamonix and the northern Italian Alps via the Great St Bernard Pass. Hilary and I are retired teachers and, although still fit and active, can foresee a time when we will need help to manage our big garden. In part, that is one reason for hosting Helpx guests. But more importantly, we think Helpx can provide a means, through mutual help, of enabling mountain lovers like ourselves to share the joys of living in this beautiful, but expensive part of the world. To begin with, since we still travel quite a lot ourselves, we envisage taking guests only during the rapid-growing months of April, May and June. That could change as time goes by, however. For 3/4 hours` work a day (Monday to Friday) guests would be provided with full board and lodging, leaving weekends f... more inside

After several years of travelling and living in New Zealand I`m here as a host now and looking forward having you with us. I enjoy having people from all over the world in the house, sharing their culture and stories with.

Me, my parents and our foster child live in a beautiful valley of Emmental. Its a quiet place surrounded by nature and some other farmhouses. To arrive by public transport is pretty easy.

We own a small farm and are nearly self-sufficient with a big veggie garden. We have beef cows and calves, goats, sheep, chickens, pigs, a dog and cats.

It is possible to host 1 to max. 2 helpers. Minimum stay of two weeks. Longer stays also possible.

Help is mostly needed during the summer months but there is work to be done all year round.

You should be able to work for half a day from Monday to Friday.

I speak German, English and a bit of French.

We don’t mind smokers but only outside the house and moderate alcohol consumption... more inside

we live 30 walking minutes of the small town of Trubschachen in the beautiful valley of Emmental. To arrive by public transport is easy: Bern(35min) or Luzern(1h) by train.

Me, Tobias and the 3 adults, 2 teenagers and 2 kids live and work in a big farmhouse on the hill.
Our farm is part of a farm community(20people) and a children's(with adhs issues) home and school. We enjoy having people from all over the world in the house, sharing their culture and stories with us and the kids, that way we can learn more and show the kids the variety of the beauty of the people in the world.
We also need help, because there is plenty of work to do, like: gardening, heying, cooking, trailwork, wood work. We ask for half a day of work(4-5hours) 5 days a week, but we are flexible, so there will be enough time for u to discover the area.
we offer food and accommodation, there is also a Sauna and Hotpot, Bycicle to use and we can go on a hike or bike ride together if u like.
