Just moved to Ecuador and need help with getting my next projects off the ground. I just moved to Vilcabamba or `Velcrobamba' as the locals call it. It is a charming little movie set of a town. Hundreds of expats running around all day, at one corner spot or another, and international flair of young families.

Ecuador is simply beautiful and has 4 diverse climates in a small country. So traveling through is definitely recommended. Have a couple of opportunities for creatives in the following area:

- Graphic designer for book covers, social media posting
- Photographer and videographers
- Marketing, researching and editing skills
- Sound engineer, video and audio editing

We are two cancer survivors from the US Louisiana blood in our veins. Our diets are as healthy as we can get them. And chefs are always preferred. Gluten, sugar-free and vegetarian.

We're funny, ballsey gals who tell it like it is. Both writers and I do event production here.

We have a spaciou... more inside

You are more than welcome to join us on our beautiful permaculture fruit farm, where we live off the bounty of the land, and where we work to sustain Mother Nature so she can keep on sustaining us.

We created the farm around four years ago as a sanctuary where we and other learners, travellers, nature-enthusiasts, (aspiring) botanists, environmentalists and anyone else who so desires could live according to permaculture principles. We combine hard, satisfying physical work with blissful moments of hammock and riverside relaxation, fuelled by food we plant, organically fertilise, water, weed, harvest and lovingly prepare ourselves. It doesn't get fresher or more local than this. We can introduce you to or expand your knowledge of multiple species of fruit (we have ~90 varieties here), edible leaves, nuts, medicinal plants, herbs and vegetables, from seeds to how best to consume them all.

Please be aware that, by its nature, farm-work is often very physically demanding, so we... more inside

I need someone very experienced with horses to help me.
My horses are located in a beautiful Hacienda in Machachi, just one hour south of Quito, surrounded by nature and the mountains. With all different types of rooms and activities, the Hacienda offers local and international guests a great and authentic experience of the Ecuadorian Andes. Our farm is a cozy and lively place with lots of different animals like dogs, lamas, alpacas, rabbits and chicken.
We offer different horseback riding tours for many years but now I changed the activities with the horses and renewed them, maybe you are the perfect match to help me! We have a herd of 7 horses right now, all well trained and with their own interesting character. The horses are going on tours with experienced riders but also work in coaching sessions with guests (individual or groups) based on cruelty free natural horsemanship methods. I just recently created a new product for beginners who literally have hardly any horse experi... more inside

The climate can be described as temperate tropics. This is due to the altitude of 1600 m. The finca has 2 ha with vegetable gardens, fruit trees and a coffee orchard. Two small food forests have been started - permaculture style. We also have four beehives, 10 chickens and 1 donkey. Help is needed with seeding, planting, weeding, harvesting. Projects are: Upgrading the small pasture with planting new grasses and nitrogen fixers for future goats. Some maintenance around the house would also be appreciated. Volunteering time is Monday to Friday 5 hours/day in exchange for food and accommodation in a western style private room. Except for the occasional common meals in our main kitchen you have your own where to prepare your meals. We ask for $3 day/person as financial contribution to cover overheads. Suggested schedule is Monday to Friday from 8am to 12pm and evenings another hour. Help a big family in the countryside outside Quito
We are a big family that lives in the countryside and it is 2 hours from Quito by bus. However, it is not too far from the main international airport (about15 min. drive). We live in a small town. It is very touristic during weekends and holidays since it has a famous catholic church. This town counts with many facilities such as: banks, pharmacies, bakeries, restaurants, grocery stores and farmers markets where you can find a variety of fresh veggies and fruits. Our house is located in the center of the town and it is close to all the facilities.
We speak Spanish and a little bit of English. We will be very happy to share our home with you and help you to practice your Spanish in exchange

Please note that smoking and alcohol are not allowed in our place.
We are a mix of vegetarian and not vegetarian family but we don’t have any preference either way it is fine
Unfortunately our little town doesn’t have nightlife. ... more inside
