We are renovating a house. Anyone with a suitable trade skill, such as painting, tiling, landscaping can stay in exchange for 2 hours work per day.
Excellent location in Melbourne, just 5km from the CBD, and many lifestyle options within walking distance. A very popular tourist location for seeing Melbourne.

We live in a beautiful but very remote part of the Alpine National Park in the mountains of Victoria. There is great bush walking, horse riding, mountain biking, white water rafting (seasonal), local history right on our front door. We have probably no more than 30 people who live within a radius of 30 kilometres of our property, although we do have a very unique little country pub with lots of characters and visitors only a kilometre from our place. Our home has 3 lovely decks looking over the beautiful Bundara River. We do not have television, however we do have email and internet access (not always guaranteed) even though we provide our own electricity via solar and a micro hydro power system in the river that forms one part of our property boundary. We also provide our own water pumped from the same source.
There is always plenty of work to do around the place. We would be keen to hear from anyone interested in helping with gardening, stonework, brush clearing and other ... more inside

We're a happy little house of one adult and two kids in the little country town of Creswick. It's in the forest and 15 minutes from Ballarat (a large regional centre) and 1.5 hours from Melbourne. Among other things, Creswick has an amazing patisserie-boulangerie that is perfect when you need a little taste of France! Weve got a large backyard with lots of weeds and far too much grass nothing too technical needs doing, just maintenance and tidying that I dont get time for. And general housekeeping stuff. But if you have any particular skills, Im open to suggestion.
Im a musician and wine researcher and speak fluent French and a little Spanish. The kids (10 & 12 years old) speak a bit of French and were all travellers at heart. We'd love to have you come and stay with us if you speak French or Spanish and youd like to do some gardening and housework, and share our table and stories.

My parents live on the Murray River on a beautiful property full of river red gums. They are quite elderly and unable to do much in the way of cleaning.
You would be required to do some light house duties, some cleaning , gardening and maybe some weed control on the farm.
Cattle duties depend on your level of skill with animals.
Some fencing may be required but optional.
We are warm and friendly people with a keen interest in others.
We have a caravan overlooking the beautiful river flats which you would be staying in. The house is very close by. Food is included however you need to cook for yourself.
Rutherglen is a lovely area and the country side is very pretty at the moment because of all the rain.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Warm Regards, Kath

Hello,
We are a family of 4, 2 parents with a 9y.o daughter and a 2 y o son.
Our home on the outskirts of Lilydale is located in a rural setting with kangaroo's, birds, horses, sheep and lama's all viewable from the kitchen window!!,
the bus stop is only 500 meters from our doorstep, so to Melbourne CBD is just over an hour by public transport. You can have the best of both worlds, exploring the yarra valley wine region, dandenong ranges and the city.
We are open-minded, fun-loving creatures with a lust for life. We love art and music, especially roots/reggae/rocksteady!
We appreciate positive and respectful company.
Because we have young children in the family we ask for helpers to commit to a minimum 2 week stay. It also means that there's more likely time to show you something special in the area.
We are looking for help in the garden, household and/or with childcare.
If anyone knows how to build a fox proof chicken house with recycled materials, or how to design a webs... more inside

*Thank you for looking at our profile. We are currently unable to receive guests due to some work going on in the house*

Good luck with your travels.

Hello we are a family of 3: Will, Millie and Ollie.

We live in a lovely little pocket of Melbourne, 14km from Melbourne CBD. There are shops and public transport close by, with the lovely Darebin Creek bike track at our doorstep. The three of us live in our little oasis with gorgeous Kelpie-cross, Zoe.

We love the arts - Will is an English teacher, painter and poet and Millie works in the arts while Ollie goes to school.

We take frequent walks along the creek - giving both the child and dog a run! - and love cooking good food. Our garden is full of fruit trees and vegetables, although the vegetables clearly vary with the season. And effort.

We would dearly love to have someone come and live with us to help with some after-school childcare over a busy time at both of our work. We will need some help around the hous... more inside

Located in Toolangi Victoria, Australia on 40 Acres, we are situated 1 hour and 15 minutes from Melbourne's CBD. We live on the edge of some of Victorias's most beautiful forests and have a river running through the property with some beautiful bush tracks that can be explored. We are a young family of 4; Tania, Luke, Javier (7) and Sol (4) and would love to have some help maintaining the property. We also have chickens, two dogs and two cats, although the animals do not enter the bungalow you would be staying in.

We would love to gain your help in doing some small projects such as making a brick garden wall, helping build a tree house or just lots of gardening, blackberry removal and tree pruning. When enquiring please specify what interests you and I am sure we can find something that would suit!

We are looking for people to stay a minimum of 5 days to a maximum of 2 weeks and live in our self contained bungalow/cottage. All food and bedding will be provided in exchang... more inside

We are ex dairy farmers and also both professionals (ex teacher and nurse) who have a variety of animals including a few cattle and a variety of poultry. We have four dogs and four cats, and two horses. We both like meeting new people and can offer short-term accommodation in return for sharing chores and also (if we feel comfortable with the arrangement) so that we can stay away overnight occasionally knowing that all is well at home.
