I can offer accommodation for one or two people who are willing to help with redecoration of some rooms in my 4 bedroomed house in West Yorkshire. The house is close to the famous world heritage site of Saltaire and close to local attractions including beautiful moorland walks. The nearest city is Leeds which is easily accessible by bus and train. I am looking for someone who can do general redecorating, cleaning, gardening and moving boxes etc. You would have your own bedroom with a shared bathroom and kitchen. Basic food will be provided but you will mostly need to cook for yourself. There is wifi available. I am flexible about the times you work and the length of stay. Strictly no smokers please.

We run a wildlife rescue and also look after the farm we have 120 soay sheep, 2 highland bulls, 2 llamas, 2 Kune Kune and 2 potbellied pigs, 3 dogs 10 cats, 3 peafowl, 2 turkeys, 7 geese, various ducks and chickens and rescue wildlife such as owls, kestrels, hedgehogs, baby birds, seagulls etc etc
We need help on a daily base with cleaning cages, feeding live stock, cleaning the yard, mucking out stables, checking animals for injuries, general well being, household work like washing up etc.

During the winter period it gets pretty wet, windy, cold and snowy up here so generally, we would prefer a single male worker or a couple ( male & female) to come up here to stay with us and do the physically demanding work.

We would prefer a minimum age of 25 and we cannot cater for special dietary needs e.g. vegetarian or vegan, as we eat a mixed diet and do not have the time/will to change any of this.

At times, it may be needed to drive tractors, diggers, ATVs and sometimes a chain... more inside

We are Laura, Gary, William and James, with small very friendly dog Monty. Our house is a newly built with the Passive House aspiration. It sits in the south wall of a Victorian Walled Garden.

The Garden is made of three sections: orchard, flower garden and veg garden, with surrounding woodland lanes. All very beautiful and full of potential. We need help with managing all aspects of the garden and starting to create different areas of interest within the structure of it. We need to move away from a building site to a home where people can visit and enjoy the garden.

We work hard and try to find a balance in life, so need a little help to move the garden along.

Independent living accommodation suitable for a two or an individual.

30 minutes drive to the Lake District and 20 minutes to Yorkshire Dales. 3 hours train link to London. Lovely walking and mountain biking. Work expectations matched with free adventure time. Food mainly vegetarian and home grown where possible.

We have just moved into a lovely old farmhouse in the beautiful village of Kingsbury Episcopi in the heart of the Somerset Levels and the home of cider making! We have 3 young daughters who are 5, 3 and 1 and we will be getting a kitten and chickens very soon! We have gardens, barns and an orchard and we would love some enthusiastic, positive and willing people/person to come and help run our lively, busy household and garden! My husband works full time and I am at home looking after the children. We always have visitors and friends visiting and can introduce you to local people. The village has a great traditional pub and a shop. There is excellent cycling and walking around us in the gorgeous countryside. We are very happy to drive to the closet train station should you wish to visit Bath, Bristol, Exeter or London and there's are also buses. We have a double room with shower en suite, Wifi and TV. We hope you'd like to come and stay with us.

**PLEASE ONLY APPLY IF YOU HAVE KNOWLEDGE OF AND EXPERIENCE WITH HORSES**
I only ask this because we have taken people on to train them in the past and found it takes weeks for them to adjust and then it is time to leave - it is boring here for someone who does not know how to work with a horse. It can also be dangerous for someone who doesn't know what they are doing.

WE'RE LOOKING FOR AUTUMN SEASON HELPERS...

Working family farm in rural North Yorkshire bordering the moor and large areas of forest, where we have horses and other farmyard animals. Help is required to work with the horses e.g mucking out, walker, grooming etc (only WITH experience) - but also to maintain the farm. We are self sufficient with a vegetable patch too so if you have green thumbs then that's a bonus.
We are situated near Helmsley, a small town with shops and pubs (and a bus system).

What we're looking for: hard working, outgoing people, who would be comfortable being left responsible for the ... more inside

Remote island in Orkney group rearing North Ronaldsay Rare breed sheep -the sheep roam the island and are pretty self-sufficient, eating seaweed for preference. We clip them with hand shears and manage them without dogs. Our flock is the second largest of this breed and we use their fleeces in every permutation in order to make them commercially viable - we are looking for help in every area of sheep management and maintenance of fences and buildings as well as with the production of our sheepskins, yarn and felted and woven goods. The island has many archaeological sites, seabird colonies, caves and good fishing. Our family live on the island alone but we have many visitors from local birdwatchers to pipe bands, and fishermen to poets.

We have a large 5 bedroom house about 18 miles from the centre of Glasgow and 30 miles from Edinburgh.

We are a happy couple in our 50's. I work from the house on the internet. My partner works in Glasgow and from home too. We now have two very energetic, playful young cats, Mylo and Phoebe.

In Spring 2018 we will need help to tidy up and plant the garden area around the house (light gardening). General Pruning, weeding (never ending) and replanting. Pressure washing the driveway and the decking.

The house is in good order and well kept but we have some internal DIY we just don't get round to - painting, some light carpentry. I always like help with general housework, window cleaning, ironing etc.

We also have a large garage and a store room that often requires a tidy up and some organising.

If you have office administration or project management skills, can do some graphic design and help with social media, Instagram, video creation and editing and understand You... more inside
