Our very friendly home is a lovely old traditional timber Queenslander full of character set on 1 and 1/2 acres of a bush block, high on a ridge. We are centrally located between the beach and the Sunshine Coast Hinterland.

The nearby town of Nambour is on the train line linking Brisbane north to Cairns. We are about 1 to 1 and a half hours north of Brisbane by car.Train a little longer.

It's a very quiet and peaceful place, surrounded by bush and gardens with lots of bird life. Opposite is a bushland reserve with walking tracks to the nearby town.

The household is Buddhist orientated and lead healthy, creative and flexible lives.

Amongst other things we are interested in Art, Marimbas, Yoga, Meditating, Ayurvedic Massage and lifestyle, Enneagrams, Travelling, Writing, Social Justice, Permaculture and Sustainable Living.

We are social, love animals and enjoy going to the nearby beach for walks and swims and visiting the Hinterland towns.

We live in a peaceful area in the heart of the Sunshine Coast and very handy to all of the wonderful attractions in the area. We are 12 minutes walk from the Landsborough train station and local buses. Australia Zoo is right on our doorstep as are the glass house mountains and local beaches.
We run a bed and breakfast. The house overlooks large trees with lots of wonderful birdlife.

We live in a high set beautiful old Queenslander that would love a couple who have some ability in painting, cleaning walls and perhaps some gardening.
We are a fun family of my husband and I and three polite children. Our home is very large with five generous bedrooms as well as a huge rumpus room with pool table and spacious lounge room upstairs and a tropical verandah overlooking the pool and gardens. We are situated between Cairns and the beautiful northern beaches.

We are within walking distance to a bus stop that can either take you into Cairns or to the beaches.

Hi,

Looking for anyone interested to help us establish gardens, give a hand fencing, help feeding animals (eg, poultry, pigs, working dogs or horses) or other station hand chores.

We are a family passionate about bush living,
I live with a permanent disability and hope to meet people who would be interested in staying for a week or so to help us with creating off grid life as we dream of self sustainability and get a great bush experience.

a cattle station held by an Indigenous traditional owner corporation located 3.5 hrs north of Cairns on the Mulligan Highway to Cooktown.

a bus does go past and we would be able to pick you up.

We are flexible as we have to work around seasons , school holidays and my school boys. :)

Although we are relatively remote, we encourage visitors to explore what the region has to offer and the large parcel of land we manage for other clan families that claim connection to country.

Currently we are not taking HelpX helpers, while we travel and help elsewhere.
Piccabeen Pottery is a little home based studio located in the quaint railway village of Palmwoods, within walking distance of the train line and the village shops. This little pottery and ceramic art workshop rests under a classic traditional Queenslander style home, with a small but native forest garden. Native animals visit regularly.

The town has a newly renovated vintage theme, with cafes, restaurants, village walk around feel, and all necessary shops.

Palmwoods is in coohee of the well touristed Hinterland Range, with rainforests, national parks, waterfalls, bush walks. In the other direction Palmwoods is fairly close to all the Sunshine Coast beaches, 15 minutes by car. Surf sand and sun most of the year. Public transport is available from 2 minutes walk away.

The hobby pottery produces gallery style stoneware ceramics on a small scale by Kari, locally known ceramic artist.

Lovely Noosa hinterland property. Currently we are a family of three (Mum and 16yo and 18yo) plus four horses and two dogs. Me (Mum) has a full time job as a Sports teacher at a local high school. My daughter is in first year university studying Occupational Therapy and my son is in high school. We are a very friendly and peaceful family who enjoy the opportunity of meeting travellers from overseas and sharing our home with them. We are 15 min to Noosa, a beautiful tourist town with many amazing beaches and the best weather you could hope for. Noosa has many shops, restaurants and any facilities required. We are also 30 min to Maroochydore which has a much larger shopping centre.
Tasks would involve ride-on mowing and general garden and home maintenance, house cleaning, cooking and feeding of animals. These would be flexible depending on the needs and skills of our helper. 3 hours per day would be ideal in exchange for accomodation and meals. Horse riding is available and we have ... more inside
