i breed and show ponies and arabian horses and we grow our fruit and vegetables as well as keeping ducks and chickens for our eggs. i also rescue unwanted and abused animals including native wildlife. our house is far from luxury accomadation but it is warm in winter and homely. we enjoy all kinds of cuisine and are pretty good chefs. a very relaxed atmosphere exists in the house. we have one spare room which would suit one single or a couple.i would prefer someone with a good knowledge of horses as a lot of the work would be around them plus garden work. we would be happy to take our people for tours as we get around quite a bit ourselves and have a lot of local knowledge. both in late 60s so could do with some young muscles though we are not too bad for oldies.the property is close to many tourist spots such as cradle mountain, sheffield, the town of murals, the lake barrington rowing course where there is opportunity to fish, swim or kayak and tazmzia .we have resident wildlife i... more inside

A family of 6 residing in an alpine wonderland just 10 mins to the lovely vibrant town of cygnet in southern tasmania. We are trying to provide as many foods for our needs from our property, so the main tasks we need assistance with are creating, manageing and maintaining food gardens, stonemasonry, and general landcare. We also have a project of restoring our old bus to its former glory as extra accommodation. We welcome helpers who are able to handle the sometimes chaotic life of a large family and who like to share their traditions and cultures. Accommodation is in a camper van/bus. Or bring your own.

G'day! Our home is in a suburb of Hobart, the capital city and cultural centre of the beautiful island state of Tasmania. From December to February it's Summer and daytime temperatures are usually around 20 - 30 degrees centigrade.

We prefer short stays of just two or three days, depending on current circumstances. You might like to spend a couple of days with us between your longer stays elsewhere in Tasmania, to give you a chance to access the Hobart city area while still being in a quiet, bushy environment.

Situated near the mouth of the Derwent River, Hobart has a pleasant port area and attractive beaches. Anyone who likes the sea can enjoy recreation time around the coast, including local or extended sightseeing trips by boat. If you stay with us on Friday night you'll be able to visit the city's famous Salamanca Market on Saturday morning.

Our property is a large sloping suburban block with a house, an informal garden of Tasmanian native plants and a vegie p... more inside

We have a beautiful farm in the North-West of Tasmania. Close proximity to Cradle Mountain and the North-West Coast - great location to use as a travelling base! We are predominantly a dairy farm but we have some crops as well. We have a need for someone to assist with milking, calving and general farm duties. We are looking for someone to help us from about 7 January 2012. Accommodation provided.

I am looking to find someone who could help at home with some cooking, cleaning and babysitting duties. I have a 2 and half yr old girl Lily and 8month old boy thomas. Terrific kids but lots of work at this age and as we have recently moved interstate there are no family or friends around to lend a hand. My husband has just started a new business is working long hours also. We are a fairly laid back and easy going family who enjoy a laugh.
