This is an amazingly quirky 20 acre farm with woodlands, lakes, yurts, holiday lets, meadows and camping/glamping. We have a medieval themed bnb and have plans for some other amazing unique accommodation. Cone and be part of it!

The main building is a 16th century Devon Longhouse - in the Domesday book! It is beautiful and picturesque. This is where the Medieval BnB is located. We also have yurts (Mongolian tents), bell tents and a modern holiday let. The grounds include woods and fishing lakes. We are building up the business and it's an exciting time! We would like people to come over and help (building/outdoor skills particularly helpful) 5 hours a day in exchange for accommodation and one meal a day. Accommodation could be in a yurt, bell tent or in the medieval house (can be negotiated). Longer stays and shorter days all possible. We would also be interested in swapping help for help particularly in the US/Canada.

Western style guest ranch with 4 horses in England, on Dartmoor, an area of outstanding natural wilderness. I am looking for STRONG FARM HELPERS to work on the land collecting wood, clearing ditches and clearing weeds, poo picking and harrowing, and feeding and caring for horses. I also require someone who can look after horses alone and also look after a dog. I need somebody who RIDES WELL preferably Western riding style and natural horsemanship.
So in summary I need either farm helpers or horse riders but if you can do both that's good.

Home in the north of England right by the Coast to Coast cycle route. Bus going to the historic city of Durham passes the house. Also public transport to Newcastle and Beamish Open Air Museum. Many places of interest for days out but a quiet home in a quiet location.
Semi-rural with woodland opposite the house.
I need help with gardening - gardens attached to the house and an allotment. Growing mainly vegetables and some flowers but starting to cultivate willow for basket weaving and later coppicing some varieties for fuel. Construction of living willow structures is possible. Help needed also to repair a shed and do some renovation on the house (not building work). Five hours a day five days a week. We have hosted with helpx for several years in Calgary, Canada. Please check out our listing there for reviews.

Hi there...

Calling out to a super solid gorgeous soul needed to bring further loving support and fun to the household.
I require a very capable fun loving person who acts on what they see needs doing.

I am a writer and require time to let the flow come then create ...your support will be gratefully received in giving me time.
In return we offer a lovely warm cosy barn to live in , just 15 mins from the nearest beach...many fabulous beaches to explore within easy travelling distance. Local pub in the hamlet and near coast/coast cycle trail for your days to yourself...

Situated at the beginning of the west Looe Valley (AONB), our smallholding is home to us, a family of 5. We both work from home, I am a full time potter and my husband runs the holding, wears a pinny & makes bread!
Our home is a contemporary wood & metal building, made from recycled and reclaimed materials. We have our own water and use our coppiced wood for hot water, heating & cooking. We have plans to be totally off grid.

We have rare breed animals (pigs, sheep and poultry), grow veg & soft fruit in an acre including two poly tunnels and we also have a mixed orchard. We have some woodland which we coppice and all of our hedges are laid by hand. We have recently added a large wildlife pond, which still needs planting out.

We are looking for someone to help around the farm, gather wood, coppice hedges, and help with building work in return for living in shepherds hut with compost loo and shower.

I live in a beautiful valley just outside of the town of Penzance. It is a fantastic part of the Uk and near to the sea and the beaches. I have about 6 acres of land that surround my house and needs a lot of maintenance. I am selling my property and land this year and need some help to clear the land and and garden which has been neglected a little over the last year due to illness.
I can offer a self contained bedroom with an en suite shower room and meals in exchange for a few hours a day of work. I am very flexible and it could be done a little day or longer days if whole days off are wanted to explore this beautiful area.
I can't take anyone untill the end of March 2017

We are looking for a young couple or fit and active older couple for a two to four week stay from now - February 2017.
Squire Farm is a small sheep farm in the South Shropshire Hills. There are two holiday cottages, a small vegetable garden, coppiced woodland (just started) and sheep (kept for mutton), horses, chickens, dogs and cats along with other less welcome livestock! We have recently started making Shepherd Huts also, which is an interesting project.
The farm is not organic or self-sufficient, but neither is it intensive or wasteful. There is always much to do to maintain the whole caboodle and we could use some help; building maintenance, gardening, logging, fencing, machinery maintenance, decorating, woodwork, cleaning and tidying and possibly lambing (due end April). In exchange you will have a room in the house, some delicious food (both Peter and I are good cooks!) and the chance to walk, ride, cycle and work in beautiful surroundings.
