We live in Highvale, Qld, which is nestled in the beautiful Samford valley at the foothills of Mt. Nebo and Mt. Glorious with Brisbane city only 35 minutes away (there are buses and trains nearby to get you into town). The area is rural and has lots of National Parks, bush trails, creeks and waterfalls to explore at our doorstep. The ocean is only an hour away.
I run a native propagation nursery and operate a bush regeneration business.
My daughters Lexi (18)and Lucinda (16)live with me full time.
There are plenty of things to help with around here!
If you have experience with horses, our two horses(a mare and a gelding) need to be groomed, fed, watered and exercised. Their paddocks also need maintaining so a willingness to get your hands dirty is essential.
Apart from working with the horses, there are plenty of other choices of what to do both inside and outside (depending on what you're into). Jobs could include propagation of seedlings, planting & weeding in the vegie g... more inside

Peaceful Beach Stay Vacancies in October November and December

We are a working couple. I am Irna and I'm an environmental science teacher and sustainability coordinator at a school a 15 minute drive away.

I love cooking and would like to learn other people's cuisine, during the working week it would be great to have someone cook for us.

My husband Eric is a mechanic who works in Cairns City a 20 minute drive from here. Eric's elderly parents live on a large non working farm past Kuranda which has a private river running through it. You are welcome to go there with him on Sundays and work side by side with him to do some property maintenance or help tidy up their mango, lychee and macadamia orchards.

We live in a quiet cul de sac in Yorkeys Knob which is an unspoilt beach and is a ten minute slow walk from our house. The beach has a stinger net and life guard in summer and is also a kite surfing haven. You can always find a secluded spot at this beach . ( it al... more inside

Hi there

Please note, this is a NON-PAID, help exchange position and unfortunately is NOT applicable to the 2nd year working visa.

It may suit someone who would like a stopover on their travels. We can only offer meals and accommodation and WiFi in exchange for 4 hours work each day.

Background: We have recently purchased Lagoon Pocket Bed & Breakfast in the beautiful Mary Valley and would love to have some help developing the gardens around the house and B&B and tidying up the surrounding property. The property has been operated as a B&B for 15 years but was originally an old farm so there is still plenty to do which may include, pulling down old fences, cleaning out gutters, spreading mulch/gravel, whipper snipping, pruning, planting, painting etc. If you are handy with computers and Word Press that would be great too.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
