We are a busy working family living on a 15 acre property in Gruyere, which is an hour from Melbourne CBD in the heart of the popular Yarra Valley region. We have a two and a three year old, as well as our two teenagers living with us so we would prefer people who are familiar with (and like) small children as they are very friendly! Lloyd works long hours and is setting up a new business which takes up most of his time on the weekends, and Claire works part time as a teacher as well as having her own private tutoring business. We are looking for individuals or couples who are happy to do outdoor work, such as slashing, mowing, weeding and stacking firewood. In addition we would like a bit of housework done, such as cleaning the bathrooms and vacuuming. Other odd jobs may vary as we need some painting finished and outdoor building projects completed. We are negotiable with hours worked and weekends off. You will have your own large bedroom with a queen size bed (and a single mattres... more inside

Hi there! I'm a young farmer near Daylesford about 1.5 hours North West of Melbourne and I've been farming here for just over 3 years now. I have two exceptionally charming dogs (Bryn and Tasha), alpacas, bees, two yearling cows, ducks, and a flock of free-ranging chickens. We currently do two farmers' markets a week selling baked goods and pulled pork rolls both made from ours and our neighbours' produce. The current project is building a food trailer which will serve food made with produce grown on or near the farm and if that works out we hope to build an on-farm restaurant based on the same idea! Work on the farm is varied but mainly consists of feeding the chickens, ducks and calves, baking, helping at markets, varied farm projects, weeding, harvesting vegetables, small scale construction and cooking woodfired pizza! Also if you have any ideas of projects you would like to be involved in building on the farm we would love to hear from you. On our wish list at the moment is buil... more inside

We live in a small valley at Riddells Creek an hour north west from Melbourne, on the Bendigo railway line. The Studio is a place for research and learning in somatic education, with Alice Cummins (Google her). I'm a consultant in environmental management. Our 5 acre property is a place for teaching, arts residency and retreat.

The valley is filled with birdsong; the weather changes constantly; it's a sweet thing to work outside. There are bushland reserves nearby to explore and enjoy. But right now, there's renovation going on in the house and the Studio, so we need people who can do painting, building, weeding the veggie gardens.

If you can contribute, and want to enjoy our valley.

Happy travels!

Hello, we live on a small boutique horse property just north of Melbourne in a scenic bushland setting with outstanding views over the surrounding hills and countryside. We are very animal orientated with a variety of competition horses, a very cute pony, assorted cats, a friendly dog, chickens and even our own resident kangaroo (just don't try to pat him). Many types of wild life also share our home and you will be able to see many kangaroos, wombats, cockatoos, parrots, kookaburras and even an echidna or two. We also have quite a few fruit trees and an extensive vegetable garden to enjoy our own produce. We are a professional couple with a 2 year old girl who thinks she's going on 12!, looking for some general help around our house and property. Duties could include house cleaning, property maintenance, gardening and landscaping, feeding & caring for horses and other animals, and some minimal child care.
Opportunities for horse riding for experienced riders.

Looking for help at our historic hotel/motel in a small regional town, about 20 minutes from Lakes Entrance. Need help with painting, gardening, repairs and general maintenance. Your good work will be appreciated.

Beautiful location, right on Lake Tyers. Peaceful and tranquil place to be - work is not hard, just seeking willing helpers. A true rural Australian hotel experience.

In exchange for approximately 4-5 hours per day, offering accommodation (own room and bathroom) and meals. Happy to negotiate transport into town. We live with a greyhound and an elderly feline, so love of animals is helpful.

Fishing, bush walking, bike trails, swimming - surrounded by nature for you to enjoy in your down time.

Feb 2017. Just a note that I have a helpx staying st present and not able to receive helpx for a couple of months. Thank you.

Hi, My name is alistair and I'm a master bookbinder and artist and sometimes often need some help with basic work making books and art works. I prefer someone with a passion for knowledge and learning as I enjoy teaching and passing on knowledge from many fields...life skills and personal development, business, communication, lateral thinking... while having some fun in the process. Always happy to teach master techniques and skills of the renaissance period. I'm not looking for a housekeeper/cook/cleaner as I enjoy cooking and share the other responsibilities.

We are also creating and establishing organic gardens, vegetables and large flower displays and renovating historic worker cabins into low budget backpacker and Woofa accommodation, some help for renovating, painting, recycling when available.

There is often some paid work available pickin... more inside
