We look forward to you staying with us.

Where we live is surrounded by stunning rainforest clad mountains and year round green pastures. Port Douglas and the Great Barrier Reef, the Atherton Tablelands, Mossman Gorge and the Daintree National Park are all within 20 to 45 minutes drive.

We live on eight acres of orchards, paddocks & veggie gardens with lots of native trees and local wildlife (wallabies, butterflies, birds, owls, green tree frogs). Three years ago, the property supported sheep, barramundi & poultry. We are currently growing veggie gardens & tropical fruit trees (banana & pawpaw) but would like to reintroduce animals & expand vegetable production. We use organic, permaculture and regenerative agriculture principles and are believers in the transition movement. You might be lucky enough to be here when we are caring for orphaned wallabies.

Work includes:-
fencing, building a greenhouse, we are also looking to do some house maintenance and build more accommoda... more inside

We would like to have someone here to look after our puppy dogs while we`re overseas. We`re a family of five travelling Australia in our gigantic 30 foot (10metere) caravan. At the moment we`re staying semi-permanent on friends acreage outside of the little countrytown Gin Gin, 60km from Bundaberg.
You will live in our Caravan in exchange for some puppy cuddles and walks. Our Puppys are Kelpie x Blue Heeler, born on the end of April and were handraised after their mum tragically died when they were just 3 days old. They are still little puppys who need lots of love and enjoy their walks on the propperty. They are focused on us humans and if you love baby animals youŽll have a ball of a time here.

Mangosteen season is over and now it is tree trimming time so if you are handy with a bush saw, can climb trees then I have a vacancy for volunteers. Plenty of catch up stuff to do as well now the wet season is over. This is an isolated farm so only for those who love the bush and nature.
My farm is on the banks of the Daintree River in far north Queensland, 100kms north of Cairns. I grow Mangosteens and Taro. Accomodation is in two spare rooms in the house. Access is by boat only so it is a bit like living on an island, if you have a 4WD then there is a bush track which is passable in the dry season only, otherwise it is perfectly safe to leave your car in the township as I do. Unfortunately I live on the banks of a crocodile inhabited river, the human eating kind, so extreme care always when near the river. All my children are now grown up with my three daughters living in Melbourne and my son in Cape York. I am used to and enjoy the company of young adults. Can pick up mo... more inside

We are currently looking for help with weddings and event set up for our Florist business as well as work on the farm.

We are a small family. Just the two of us and a dog called Sugar. Our property is in the Whyanbeel Valley at the base of rainforest clad mountains. We have a small tropical flower and foliage farm and are starting a tropical fruit orchard. We are looking for one person or a couple to help out on the farm in exchange for accommodation and food.

Our house is quite small and basic with solar power and tank water and there is some wildlife occasionally wandering through. We would expect you to be tidy and do a share of general household duties. The work is 4 hours a day helping out on the farm or assisting with flower deliveries and events with one day off per week.

We have a love of nature, adventure and good food and enjoy meeting people from different places. We have a small library of reference books for identifying anything you may see around. There ... more inside

The farm is situated in Mount Mee, Queensland, which is very hilly and beautiful.

It is about 15 minutes drive from the nearest village, Wamuran, and 25 minutes to the nearest town: Caboolture. Brisbane is 60 minutes by train from Caboolture. I am about 60 min from the Sunshine Coast and the airport and about 90 minutes from the Gold Coast.

It is a farmstay that includes a variety of animals: a small herd of cows, a few camels, alpacas, horses, guinea fowl, dogs of course and a cat.

I am looking for help with general maintenance: gardening: mowing, weeding, etc. If possible, fence repairs and painting, Also, day-to-day tasks in and around the homestead: cleaning, cooking, etc. I prefer helpers to be over 25, willing and capable of turning their hand to any tasks required of them.

In return, I provide good meals, comfortable accommodation and transport to and from the nearest railway station if required.

I am looking for a female or a couple to spend 3-4 weeks with us from mid-July to mid-August on our farm 1 hr from Brisbane and 1 hour from the Gold Coast. We have chooks, goats, horses, dogs and cats and a vegetable garden that needs planting. I am travelling for work from August 1-10th so Mick would like some assistance over that time!! We have five daughters. It is about 20 hrs a week work to pump the bore, feed animals and help with driving girls to school and back. I also have one daughter playing representative soccer this term so there is some extra driving. If we get a couple who both want to work, there is plenty of house painting to do. There is quite a bit of free time so it might be better for a couple but I would be happy for a single female to stay. I have accommodation that is suitable for a couple and will provide food and wifi and $400/week for two people working 20hrs a week. One of my daughters speaks some German and we have good references from previous helpe... more inside
