We have 4 bedroom large house with small garden in the middle of a village in the Ashdown Forest. OK transport connections, the nearest station is East Grinstead which goes to Victoria in London and is a 20 minute bus ride from the village. We have a dog, a 6 year old cocker spaniel. Forest row has several bio-dynamic farms nearby. It is a meat free household.
I have several projects on the go and need someone who can do minor woodwork repairs, someone good at organising and someone to do painting and decorating.

We have a large country house overlooking the Culm valley. There is a woodland and herbaceous border garden, lawns, orchards and a walled kitchen garden where we practice a no-dig, organic system with raised beds, poly-tunnel and greenhouse. We grow and forage as much of our own food as possible including vegetables, fruit, herbs, eggs, and poultry. We are keen sour-dough bakers and also make preserves, wines and herbal medicines.

We do speak English but we are not an English language school. You need to know that much of the day you will be working on your own, which is why we encourage couples but individuals are also welcome according to availability. We welcome helpers for a minimum of one week and maximum two week stay. you must have your own insurance.

The work includes all sorts of gardening tasks like planting, weeding, harvesting, also chopping and stacking wood, clearing brambles and scrub, repairing walls, outbuildings and fences.

There are also indoor jobs suc... more inside

Any one interested in a homely welcoming environment to come and stay in, we may be remote but we make up for it by being friendly and interested in new people. two or three week stay would be great as we realise most folk are on a journey around the world.

We run a small 4 star Bed and Breakfast in the beautiful Kielder Water and Forest Park. We are the only B&B in the locality. Kielder is a small village (~210 people) about 3 miles from the Scottish border - it is an up & coming tourist area.
Kielder is a great area for walking, cycling, fresh air, clean spring water and dark skies We now have dark sky park status and this is bringing in a lot of business. New downhill single bike tracks are being opened and are fast becoming very popular Also the Kielder Observatory is only 3 miles up on the hill and the Lakeside Way gives a great opportunity to travel all 26 miles around Kielder Water.

We welcome people into our home and allow them the freedom of the house. We do not ... more inside

Hello Helpers!

John and I were helpers when we travelled through Australia, New Zealand and the United States in 2014/2015. We had so much fun and experienced so much kindness we are looking to give something back!

We are now lucky to have found a place with enough space and a project to welcome HelpXers into our home. We have been able to find a house to renovate since our return and are looking for some help to renovate our new place. There is plenty to do; sanding, painting, turning the attic into a bedroom and making our tired old back yard beautiful again!

We live an a house in Penzance, Cornwall in the town so we are close to local shops and ameneties, bus and train station. There are many beaches, attractions and rolling English countryside nearby. There is lots to do in the vicinity, but not much of a night-life scene if thats what you're after.

We are looking for one person or a couple to help us make our place lovely. We are currently finishing the attic, hallw... more inside

Hi at the moment we are looking for anyone who can help with clearing brambles, cutting hedges or repairing walls. - we are a family of 4 - two boys aged 19 and 15 and us - Max and Selby! We live in beautiful south Devon. we took on a dilapidated house and totally neglected 4 acre plot 8 years ago. We work the land bio dynamically but often seem to be scratching at the door of ideas we were planning... there seems so much to do. we would welcome help from anyone who wanted to do pretty much anything! -at the moment our greatest need is help with weeding and clearing, scything and strimming but anyone who can build or repair walls or who likes painting would be warmly welcomed.

We have chickens and a cat and bees and the sheep from the local school when they need extra grazing. But would love to clear a barn (another job) to get some housing ready for goats

Ashburton is 2 miles away on the edge of the moor, Dartington (with an arts cinema and great theatre/musi... more inside

Looking for a couple of people to help with decorating and renovating a family house. To start with it is wallpaper stripping, rubbing down woodwork, and repainting. Plumbing experience would be extremely welcome. The property has been gutted, no furniture yet, but running water, toilets (no shower yet), electricity, and central heating. Beds and food provided for a bit of graft.

Our home is set in a valley in the beautiful rolling hills of Mid Devon with wonderful walks for those who like the out doors. Accommodation provided is a room in our home. We have BT Broadband so you can connect your laptop for free internet use. Mobile phone connection is very patchy here due to being tucked away in a valley.

At the moment we could use some general
help round the place, including gardening, walking the dogs, decluttering and help with our 3 horses, mucking out etc. Basically varied duties.

English speaking people over 23 are welcome for 5 hours a day, 5 days a week staying for one or two weeks.

We welcome fit, healthy, (no hay fever or asthmatics suffers due to farm living!) honest, down to earth people who are not work shy, proactive and get on with things and can work on their own, oh and have and have a good sence of humour.

If you are flying over then Exeter airport is about 30 mins away from us. If coming by train There is a train station i... more inside
