Natalie, 52 years old and Jean-François, 72 years are sheppards in Corsica and passionated by traditional way of raising sheeps. We spend 3 months a year (July to October) in I Pozzi at an altitude of 1800m where we live in a small stone house : it is what we call "La Transhumance". During the other months, we live not far from Ajaccio but still in a rural area. From October to December, we follow the births of lambs. The season from December to June is dedicated to ewe milking and cheese, brocciu and yoghurt processing.
AT THIS TIME OF THE YEAR, we would be very happy to have HelpX to help with field works, sheep herding and ewe milking. On top of processing cheese, brocciu and yogurts every day, we currently need special help in finishing our hen house and in installing our new milk machine . We also want to renovate an ancient olive-oil press. You are most welcome !

Currently looking for helpers for 2019.

Nick and James (and Luna, the dog) bought a collection of ruined farm buildings on 3 hectares in 2011 and have been steadily restoring since. The location is fairly remote. There is a small village 1km away, there is a tennis court, fishing lake, numerous countryside walks and cycling routes. The nearest town is 6km away and has numerous shops, a weekly traditional French market, a beautiful Château, bars and restaurants. Despite the remoteness there is always something going on. Work has just started on restoring a barn.

Accommodation is within the recently restored main house. You will have a private room with a double bed, WiFi and a lounge with UK and French TV. Or there is a camping field, if you prefer! We will provide all meals including at least one meal out per week. In exchange for about 4-5 hours helping per day, 5 days per week, we invite you for a 2 week stay. Longer stays are possible after a successful first vi... more inside

Firstly I would like to thank all the wonderful helpxers that have Helped with the renovation of the Winery/Cave Co-Operative. We are still in progress but have come along way.
The tiny french village of Trilla is a very special place to be. friendly and natural.

I am looking for an extra pair of hands to help with horse care, house care, garden care, basic rural living and helping to host the b&b guests, although there are not many in the winter months

Off season, there is room for a couple or a confident person to help care for the horses, 4 of them, they live out 24/7 however they need hay and water and some form of human contact daily. anything from 1 to 2 weeks or more if it fits. The dates are flexible and mainly from september through to may. thank you.

We are situated in an Idyllic, Friendly, peaceful French village of 47 inhabitants.

A bientot

We are an organic farm of horses and sheep, located 800 meters above sea level, near Grenoble, in the Vercors Regional Nature Park. We breed rustic mountain horses, called Merens (110). We have two mountain pastures at 1300 and 2000m.
Riders are welcome, especially in summer, as they can ride horses; educate young horses and train them to hike. We are also preparing shows to promote the Mérens breed and our breeding. You will also be asked to feed horses and ewes, to set up electric fences, to move herds of horses and sheep, etc. You must be athletic because we spend a lot of time in the mountains with animals! Here, no stable to clean, all the animals live outside all the year. If you do not ride, you can still contact us! Gardening and botany.

With my wife Faustine and 3 kids Virgile (15 years), Clotaire (12 years) and Celeste (8 years), we live in a small town at the edge of the Cevennes National Park.
We operate about 300 hives organic. We live in the middle of bees and it is necessary not to be allergic to stings.
We have also different animals like sheeps, turtles, fishes, hens...
Many activities are possible because we live 5 minutes from the center of Ales (40 000 inhabitants), 1 km from the station, and 500 m of the Cevennes National Park.
So you can help us manage hives, provide help for the construction of the honey house, maintain the garden (aquaponic farm), teach your native language to our children...
A car, motorcycle or bicycles are available.

Hello, I would appreciate help to run my guest house from mainly march until october+ occasional help with the small farm. (3 horses, 2 goats, chicken etc...)
The guest house is a mix of camping/glamping style & traditional rooming which is mostly booked by family groups.
We are about 1km from the wild northern beaches and surrounded by a beautiful pine tree forest . The surroundings re ideal for surfing, biking, running, yoga and many more outdoor activities. It s about a 15m drive to downtown Hossegor and about 30min to Biarritz.
