Hello!

We have a small farm/horse stud in the Yarra Valley. The property was destroyed by bushfires in 2009 and has mostly been rebuilt, but much of the landscaping still needs work.

We have five Riding Ponies (horses).

WORK:

We would LOVE an experienced horseperson to help with them as several are young and need handling/breaking.

There is no riding available currently (although we may be able to take experienced riders out with friends).

You do not need horse experience to stay with us. The horses are friendly, but you won't work with them unless you are experienced.

General farm/garden laboring for 3-5 hours a day (5 days) is expected, but very flexible. Work includes chopping firewood, weeding, clearing scrub, laying gravel on the driveway, gardening etc., or working with the horses if you have the experience.

ACCOMMODATION:

Accommodation is in the main house. Robyn lives alone and sometimes her adult daughters come down from the city on ... more inside

Hello,
we live in a small village in the Central Victorian Goldfields, 1.5hr from Melbourne easy drive or by train. Closest town Castlemaine (10mins by car).

We have a small 2 acre property, a recycled house, a baby, a small dog and a messy garden!

We are looking for happy, independent, physically fit helpers.
We especially appreciate building or handy person skills, and gardeners. Welders and carpenters say hello! You must be happy to work independently.

A car is desirable, so you can explore the area - which is full of great walks, food, wine, coffee, markets and art. We live in a community of artisan growers, artists, makers and pioneers.

Work could include building, welding, chopping wood, rendering, orchard and vegie bed maintenance, planting, weeding, cleaning, cooking, sanding and painting, babysitting, landscaping - let's see what you like and what the weather is doing. We ask 4-6 hours per day, 2 days off in a week, and you cater for yourselves o... more inside

We have a large house built from recycled materials set in a five acre garden that includes a hedge maze, orchards, vegetable patch and pockets of native habitat. Located just 10 mins from Daylesford, our place is within easy access to great visitor attractions such as lakes, walking tracks, cafes, bars, galleries and boutique shops.

We are looking for 1 or 2 people to volunteer 2-3 hours per day to help us with gardening and installation of art and recycled pieces from now until Christmas.

You will have your own bedroom, use of a large commercial kitchen and own bathroom. There is plenty of living areas so that you can have your own space or share with us (2 adults and a teenager). It is envisaged that we would share some meals and that you will cook some of your own. We are in and out of town (Daylesford) so there is plenty of opportunity for lifts in and out.

*** WELCOME TO MEWBURN PARK ***
Embraced by the age-old trees and lush ponds, Mewburn Park is one of the oldest heritage homesteads in Victoria. It was built in 1854.

We are: Julia and Adam with a 2 year old toddler boy and another one on the way. We are planning to make Mewburn Park again an event/function centre and one day also a B&B. We recently moved back from Europe (Julia is German) and still settling up. Therefore we need some support, as well as some cultural exchange with travellers from all over the world (as we love to travel).

We live in the big comfortable homestead on a farm, where you'll have privacy and space, but you are welcome to join us in the living room whenever you like. You’ll stay in a secluded bedroom in the "old wing" which has 2 rooms, one with single bed, the other with a double bed and no door in between (so ideal for 2 people who know each other or a couple or a single person). You will have your own big bathroom with shower and toilet.

We need two people travelling together who want to visit us on or after 28th November for about a week.

We are a busy and active couple in our 60s, with adult daughter Julia, and Ziggy, our small/medium dog.

Jobs will include garden maintenance (mowing, weeding, watering), installing pavers around some garden beds (we can learn together!), renovating a garden bench, cleaning around the house, and looking after Ziggy when we are out. The work may require a few practical skills, including the use of power tools.

The arrangement is to work about 4 hours a day but we can be flexible with how this happens. In exchange, we will provide food (self-serve breakfast & lunch), cooked meals to share (most nights), or food of your choice to cook if we are out.

We think it will be most suitable for two people travelling together and you will have a room of your own .

You will also have access to a bathroom, a lounge room with TV and unlimited WiFi. We have a tennis court, a billiar... more inside

Hi,

I run a 40 bed retreat venue on 40 acres (16.5 ha) of private farm. It caters primarily for groups of families, but it's building a following amongst retreat groups - think yoga, meditation, women's circles, drama, art, music, etc.

As well as 40 beds, the retreat has a commercial kitchen, large common room with wood fire, outdoor BBQ area with open fire, swimming pool, pool table, commando course, Tipi and gypsy wagon. There are sheep, goats, cattle, horses, lots of chickens and two very sociable Kelpie dogs.

Many groups who stay here self-cater, but some ask for catering. I want to add fresh, organic produce to the offering. I've started a 70-tree orchard and have plans to convert quarter of an acre to permaculture vege garden. But there's only me and my plans are bigger than one 50-something woman can do solo!

I'm looking for skilled or unskilled workers to help me maintain and develop the gardens, build rustic stuff like chicken pens, fix stuff that breaks in ... more inside

We are a Yoga retreat/ wellness centre which also has a kitchen medicine café and accommodation. We are beginning to grow our own food for use on site in our kitchen medicine café and kitchen therapy workshops.

We always require assistance throughout the course of the year, especially from December through to End of January. We need assistance in garden maintenance and care to aid production of produce.

If you think you would be interested then please let us know.

We are looking for individuals/couples who may have yoga experience/yoga teacher qualifications, a love for gardening, building/carpentary/handyman skills a plus and are happy to exchange accommodation for work on a wellness estate.

We use organic and bio-dynamic principles in our gardening. You will also be exposed to how to use food as medicine as we have a kitchen medicine café that runs by donation.

We are a family run retreat.
