My partner & I moved in August 2012 & have been working hard at setting this place up as a self-sufficient organically run smallholding. We are located in the beautiful valley of Glenasmole on the foothills of the Dublin Mountains.

The holding is made up of 8.5 acres which is set out into several paddocks, there are also stables & plenty of sheds. The sand arena has become our veg garden & it is laid out in some raised beds & a polytunnel, with loads more to make.

We also now have another 13 acres rented from a neighbor.

We have had volunteers from September to December in 2012 and this was our first ... more inside

I need help with the renovation of an old house in Nth Tipperary (the rendering and painting just about finished now)so its garden time this year!.I have been here 3 years now thinking when I bought the house it would entail insulation, decorating and new windows, oh dear what a mistake! The damp isnt just rising it comes through the walls and up through the floors, most of the damp is contained (not cured)and the internal walls are drylined. I also have a small sailing boat that needs a clean up for the coming season, and my Citroen 2CV is in need of a rebuild! Irelands only award winning ECO Village is a 5 minute walk from my house.
