Hiya Helpers, Autumn is here and we are very excited about all the activity here on the farm and in the garden. As well as our routine and day to day jobs we are currently looking for helpers who are able to work at heights. Our large house needs some maintenance. Including high pressure cleaning, sanding and painting. We have safe scaffolding and value work place health and safety.
Gregor is a builder and passionate about eco/sustainable housing and construction. Work that takes him away from the farm at times. Kristen designs and manufactures vintage inspired frocks that she sells on line. We live on the Sunshine Coast in Qld and have built our own home mainly from recycled building materials.
More about us......
We want you to come to our place to help us complete our plans to establish our small farm village. We’ve already completed the main house and workshops. We’ve had some great help along the way and would like, (need) helping hands to accomplish our endeavors...

Our home (all 'home made'!) is at the foot of Mount Amos in the bush, 34km outside of Cooktown, 15km from the highway to Cairns (we can pick you up from Cooktown. There's a bus from Cairns to Cooktown.) We have beautiful views of the ocean and Hope Island and Mount Amos. There's a herb garden and small orchard (jackfruit, soursops, paw paw, bananas, spinach, casava...), and a few chooks.
We get our water from the mountain and use hydro and solar for power, and occasionally the generator. There's an outdoor hot shower, and a 2m plunge pool to cool off during the day. We have a great library and lots of space to paint/draw, look at the views, instruments to play, we have a bike here too for local trips. A lovely waterfall is close by (maybe 8 km away), a river for swimming in (no crocs!) about 30mins away and great beaches, botanical gardens and walks in Cooktown. A hike through the forest and mangroves (not for the timid) will bring you to the ocean from the property too.

I am looking for helpers for up to 10 days. A domestic residence on Magnetic Island. Close to National Park, golf course and beaches within the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park. I'm looking for help mainly with the garden for 2 hours a day in exchange for accommodation. The kitchen and other facilities are available for your use as is the rest of the house and garden. You will have sole use of the bathroom near your room. I will take you on a guided tour of the Island when you arrive and will often be able to either drop you off at the places you want to visit or pick you up when you're ready to come home. I prefer to have couples or friends prepared to share a queen size bed as the other bed is in my computer room.

We are Pete, Kristal and Ruby living in Nelly Bay, Magnetic Island. We live in a tropical paradise! Amazing beaches on the north of The Great Barrier Reef, where you can swim with tropical fish and coral directly off the shore! We have all the snorkeling gear you need for this as well as bikes for getting around the island. We also have a little 'tinny' (small boat) we take out when we can around the island. The bushwalking, bird life and nature are also spectacular! We have a pirate themed cafe on the front of our property called Scallywags Cafe (check us out on facebook) operating from May-November. The help that we are looking for through Help X can vary, depending on the need at the time and the skills of the helpers. Some of the help may include, help with the cafe, house work, gardening, renovating, painting, baby sitting (Ruby is our awesome 3 1/2 yr old daughter), etc. It just really depends upon what is needed at the time of the stay. We exchange 4 hrs of work, p...

Dear Travellers, Welcome to Brisbane.
WHO WE ARE: Our names are Deborah and Paul. We both work full time and are very proud parents of three children, plus a super-friendly Groodle dog named Barclay. We also have a lovely German au-pair whom helps us with the children and the house.
WHAT WE OFFER: - We have a beautiful, traditional old house called a “Queenslander” on 10 acres in Upper Brookfield, which is around 40 minutes from Brisbane City via car (25 kms). The house has a spectacular view of Brisbane - It is surrounded by natural bushland and features many native Australian animals like kangaroos and wallabies, possums, parrots and (unfortunately very rarely) koalas. - You would have our spare room with a double bed - You would share a lounge room (featuring a TV, couch, WiFi) and bathroom with our aupair. - You would be able to take advantage of our swimming pool and tennis court when you are not working. - We would also provide all meals, bed linen, and...

** NEXT AVAILABLE BOOKING IS 15TH JULY, UNFORTUNATELY NO BOOKINGS AVAILABLE BEFORE THIS TIME. LOOK FORWARD TO MEETING YOU THEN!** Hey Travellers! Welcome to the Sunshine Coast!
My name is Samantha, I live in the very lovely Northern Sunshine Coast Hinterland, near the alternative town of Cooran. We are close to the Noosa trail (Bushwalking, Mountain Biking), 20 mins from Eumundi markets and half and hour from the world famous Noosa rivers and beaches (surfing, Paddle Boarding). I am close to the Pomona Vipassana Centre and there are numerous yoga classes, meditation groups and a drumming class in close proximity. I live in a very comfortable modern 3 bedroom Queenslander on 5 acres, which is ‘off the grid’ with my own solar, rain water and bio-cycle systems. Extensive verandas take in views over the rolling hills. There is always a breeze and it’s generally cooler than on the coast. There is lots of wildlife with regular visits from kangaroos, wallabies, possums, ...
