We need two people travelling together who want to visit us on or after 28th November for about a week.

We are a busy and active couple in our 60s, with adult daughter Julia, and Ziggy, our small/medium dog.

Jobs will include garden maintenance (mowing, weeding, watering), installing pavers around some garden beds (we can learn together!), renovating a garden bench, cleaning around the house, and looking after Ziggy when we are out. The work may require a few practical skills, including the use of power tools.

The arrangement is to work about 4 hours a day but we can be flexible with how this happens. In exchange, we will provide food (self-serve breakfast & lunch), cooked meals to share (most nights), or food of your choice to cook if we are out.

We think it will be most suitable for two people travelling together and you will have a room of your own .

You will also have access to a bathroom, a lounge room with TV and unlimited WiFi. We have a tennis court, a billiar... more inside

Hi,

I run a 40 bed retreat venue on 40 acres (16.5 ha) of private farm. It caters primarily for groups of families, but it's building a following amongst retreat groups - think yoga, meditation, women's circles, drama, art, music, etc.

As well as 40 beds, the retreat has a commercial kitchen, large common room with wood fire, outdoor BBQ area with open fire, swimming pool, pool table, commando course, Tipi and gypsy wagon. There are sheep, goats, cattle, horses, lots of chickens and two very sociable Kelpie dogs.

Many groups who stay here self-cater, but some ask for catering. I want to add fresh, organic produce to the offering. I've started a 70-tree orchard and have plans to convert quarter of an acre to permaculture vege garden. But there's only me and my plans are bigger than one 50-something woman can do solo!

I'm looking for skilled or unskilled workers to help me maintain and develop the gardens, build rustic stuff like chicken pens, fix stuff that breaks in ... more inside

We are a Yoga retreat/ wellness centre which also has a kitchen medicine café and accommodation. We are beginning to grow our own food for use on site in our kitchen medicine café and kitchen therapy workshops.

We always require assistance throughout the course of the year, especially from December through to End of January. We need assistance in garden maintenance and care to aid production of produce.

If you think you would be interested then please let us know.

We are looking for individuals/couples who may have yoga experience/yoga teacher qualifications, a love for gardening, building/carpentary/handyman skills a plus and are happy to exchange accommodation for work on a wellness estate.

We use organic and bio-dynamic principles in our gardening. You will also be exposed to how to use food as medicine as we have a kitchen medicine café that runs by donation.

We are a family run retreat.

CURRENTLY WE HAVE SOMEONE BOOKED FOR ARRIVAL IN NOVEMBER--

Who we are Seeking: Possibly a couple or two friends who would enjoy a mixture of work on a farm: some farm work, gardening and some house tasks. It would best suit flexible people. It would be good if you had your own vehicle and enjoyed a neat clean surrounding (we do).

Our Approach: We look at this largely for the cultural interaction as well as getting things accomplished. We try to structure the tasks to allow you to have time to go walking, a go on short trips locally (there is quite a bit to see in this area).

Where you would stay: On a nice sheep farm in Western Victoria. We have a comfortable guestroom/with en suite near the house.

A bit about us...

We are a family farm-- husband, wife . Our children are 21 and 18 and aren't home full time now. The farm is a sheep/ wool property in a lovely setting in western Victoria.

We really enjoy meeting people from overseas.
We are interested ... more inside

Hello there,

We are two families staying on 65 acres, two hours east of Melbourne. We're between Warragul and Leongatha. Can pickup from Leongatha bus. We're spending the year un-schooling our 5 children between 5 and 11, and tending this beautiful piece of land. We have 4 horses and 2 dogs and are planting a lot of trees. We are into simple living, permaculture, rewilding and eco-psychology, and lots of other things.

There is a lovely creek that runs the length of the property, and a beautiful dig dam/lake to swim in. Everything is rustic so you need to be robust. We are easy going city folk spending a year in the bush.

You'd be helping us with weeding, track making and maintenance, planting, cooking, teaching our kids, building etc. Whatever comes up that your happy to do. We like it if you eat with us, always plenty of yummy food on hand. We ask for 4-hours work a day. If you're here for a week, Sunday we chill even more than the other days and you rest too. :... more inside

We have a lovely block of land on the outskirts of Melbourne, which is situated on a quiet country road. Our is house nestled beside a bush reserve where we can see many beautiful gum trees and enjoy the sounds of native birds all day long. We also have a resident kangaroo named Graham and the occasional echidna wandering through the yard. It is very peaceful place to stay. Peter and I are in our fifties and have 3 grown boys who are no longer at home. I work part time and Peter works full time. We have a very large garden so much of the work required by helpers will be in the garden. It is important to be fit as there will be some moderately heavy work (mainly with a barrow). We also require help around the house to clean windows and do general cleaning inside and out. We have 2 spare rooms with double beds. The bathroom will be shared. During leisure time it is nice to sit in the garden and read or go for a walk through the quiet tree lined streets. We are close to a local bus sto... more inside

Hi my name is Andrew and I just love to travel. Sadly at present I have to work. My job is managing a beautiful 30 hector island in the Gippsland Lakes near Lake Entrance.
The Island is home to me,30+ Kangaroos, deer and over 45 species of birds. The Island is a short distance from the mainland and less than 1 km from the famous 90 mile beach. So if you are happy to help me out with some work you can stay on the Island with me and the kangaroos. You can Google "Fraser Island Lakes Entrance" and look at the Images.

Hi,
Vacancy after 14th November - please contact us.

We are on 40 beautiful acres of land with native animals and a creek. We are 1.5 hours drive west of Melbourne, Victoria. Or a train ride and coach to Daylesford and we can pick you up.
