Hello. We have a wonderful 10 acre lifestyle block close to the villages of Waimauku and Kumeu (wine country) in the north west part of Auckland, just 35 mins drive to the city outside of the rush hour and 20 mins drive to the beautiful Muriwai (surf/swim) beach, there are also a few forest walks and cycle ride options nearby.

I can pick up locally if you don`t have your own transport and we can discuss getting out and about during a stay if you`re happy to fit in with whatever plans we can make to help.
My workplace is located southeast of the city so it would also be possible for you to be dropped of and picked up correspondingly, to spend a day sightseeing or on other activities.

I have a cat and we keep a small flock of sheep and some chickens, I'll be adding to the livestock at some stage.
There is a “young” orchard, vegetable garden & general garden needing attention, as well as the wider property (and home if the weather isn't suitable to be outside).
Ideally I am ... more inside

Hi,

Hi we have some quite physical work to do. It is carrying trays out of our strawberry shed. We can also offer some other work so that it does not get boring. Great time of year to be at Charlies.

Charlies is a very busy and popular gelato shop. It is complemented by the surrounding 10 acres, which are planted in grapes, blueberries, oranges, feijoas and strawberries. You will be supplied with great coffee and some of the best gelato you have ever tasted.

We have a lovely recently renovated home with semi self contained accommodation. See pictures attached. It has a small kitchenette with a fridge, jug, toaster etc so you can have some independence. It also has a television and a network plug for internet, as well as WiFi.

We have fabulous vege gardens and eat really well. My husband is a very good cook.

We are looking for general work around the land, possibly some spring cleaning and painting. There is some flexibility with jobs depending on skill sets.

My husband and I are raising two beautiful daughters in our home- a big comfortable house in the Auckland suburb of Beach Haven. As my husband returns to work, I need a bit of help to take care of our oldest daughter, Mila. Mila is a fantastic little respectful, and playful girl that is requiring a bit more attention and care while I spend more time with our newborn

The activities include:
> Babysitting
> Preparing food for Mila

We are looking for an international girl that wants to be part of our family for a good few weeks. We hope to find someone with a good work ethic, sense of humour and love for children. We also have a garden and could use help in renovation projects around the house.

Time frame is negotiable with a minimum of 3 weeks

We will provide accommodation in a double room with private bathroom, and all meals included at our usual eating schedule. The use of the kitchen for private meals is not allowed.
We live in the Beach Haven, 10mins walk from the ... more inside

We are a friendly household with a bit of a chaotic lifestyle at times but are very welcoming and flexible and enjoy meeting people from other countries. We are an older couple with adult children who also live separately on our property with their new baby and two year old son. There are chickens, a pony and a very neglected vegetable garden. We are currently not able to do much-needed maintenance around our property so would really value help to 'tame our jungle! I am just becoming more mobile again after breaking my hip late last year and my husband has a physical disability which means he can't do a lot of physical tasks. We would really appreciate help around our place right now with gardening, weeding and getting firewood ready for the winter. So experience in gardening, using a weedeater and a chainsaw would be most useful.

We ask for up to four hours help daily per person 5-6 days a week with general maintenance around the place plus help with preparation of evening meals... more inside

We are two gay friends who breed alpacas on a 17-acre lifestyle block in Kumeu, 30 minutes drive NW from central Auckland. We warmly welcome visitors who will share their culture and life experiences, and who bring a sense of humour - a necessary part of your survival kit here!

If you don’t discriminate and don't smoke you can enjoy a cozy bed and good food in a smoke-free home, along with Mindy the cat and Tango, a golden Labrador. If you are keen to learn all you can about alpacas and how we care for them, you may learn new skills, understand how the fleece of these unique and fascinating animals becomes chemical-free natural yarn, and how we live by green principles.

We offer our visitors food and accommodation in our warm and comfortable 35-year... more inside

We are a French-Spanish family of 4 living in New Zealand after sailing from France.

Sadly we do not own a boat anymore but we still love the outdoors, the sea, travelling and learning from the people we meet. He kitesurfs, I play beach volleyball, we both like yoga, climbing and long walks.

We live 15 mins away from St Heliers beach, shops, restaurants and cafés, close enough from the CBD and easily accessed by public transport. The appartment is under the main house, with little noise insulation, simple and independent with toilet and a simple kitchen (microwave, fridge, kettler, sink) - no oven, no stove for the moment, sorry -

You would have your own room, with double bed (see picture) , toilet and kitchen. There is Internet and a small grassy patch to relax (and have a veggie garden!?).

What we are looking for? Mostly an AuPair for our 2 young children (2 and 4 year-old) who wants to help out 2 hours a day in exchange of accommodation.

We are keen to know ne... more inside

Can you cook delicious food? Help in house and garden?

I live alone in a comfortable 2 bedroom house on a big section, 10 minutes drive to the city, perhaps 20 minutes by bus. I don't have any organic credentials though I do grow some veges...

But I'm thinking it would be great to have some (solo preferred) company, a visitor from around the world, maybe 3-7 days, while you get to explore Auckland before heading off to the beautiful parts of NZ.

You would be sharing a room with my grand piano (which I have to work on sometimes) ... but it is a big room. I hope you can cook ... I can lol.

Actually I rent this home, so there is no major work to be done, but there is always something to be done, mostly just the housework, and doing things in the garden.

I am a mature guy, classical musician by trade, and I'd enjoy the variety of different visitors from around the world. Ich kann ein Bisschen Deutsch, fast.

Around here there is wonderful walking by the sea. though no... more inside

Macadamia growing and processing. Nut harvesting and dehusking finished for this season, other farm work which is generally relatively light still going on. Garden is always in need of attention. Gutters need cleaning! Restoration of a 1936 Alvis car with wooden framed body with steel skin, making slow progress. As well as 400 mature Macadamia trees there are three adult kunekune pigs, and two talkative young piglets, three sheep and some clucky Bantam hens. 4 hours help per day, very relaxed atmosphere. we prefer people who have at least 5 years life experience since leaving school. Our guide dog Yasmin has now graduated and is assisting a blind person and we are very proud of her. We are retired health professionals and enjoy lots of good conversation at the dinner table! Bombay and Pukekohe within walking distance for energetic walkers, otherwise, own transport is an advantage, easy access to Auckland exists via trains from Pukekohe.
