Hi Host Helper,

We're a Christian Family of 3 on a once a day dairy farm, 180 cows. Even though we're farming the city is 20mins away so still near for entertainment.

We're after 1 helper at 1 time to help (approx 4 hours a day) with light duties around the dairy farm. Duties can be different every week and will vary from cutting firewood, helping with calves, to walking the cows to the milking shed. Each nights dinners will be provided (we do love our meat, home kill) but are open to trying new ideas, breakfast and lunch are just help yourself to what's in our fridge/pantry. Also there is always baking each week on the bench to eat. Your room has a super king bed & storage.

The kind of person we're after would be someone who doesn't mind children, doesn't mind a bit of mud and being around animals. So if you're wanting a New Zealand dairy farm experience we'd love to hear from you.

During the summer months my husband enjoys speedway (stockcars) so if you're interested ... more inside

Hi there,

We are a relaxed rural New Zealand family, consisting of 2 adults and 4 kids.

We need some help with house, garden and kids between 20/11 - 13/12.

This would suit either a female helper who loves hanging with children or a couple who enjoy the company of kids and don't mind working in the garden.

We live 20 min car drive from Raglan`s famous surf beach, Ngarunui, and Ruapuke beach. From our house you can see the ocean, Mt Karioi (beautiful hike up the mountain) and a waterfall is only 4km away.

We are a family who love sports and the outdoors, cooking and baking yummy food (and eating it :), swimming and boogie boarding, playing cards and meeting new people.

We have got a trampoline, mountain bikes, motor bikes, a vege garden, a cat, pet calves and the cutest "baby" girls in the world :)

We offer a room and food in exchange for approximately 4h of work a day.

If you like to laugh, love kids and the outdoors, then we would love to hear ... more inside

We need help with cooking dinner, house cleaning, laundry and yard work. We provide accommodation
and a family dinner for 3h work per day. Breakfast and lunch can be worked included with extra time worked but will be self-serve.

My husband and I have just relocated a large lockwood onto bare land and are completing work to Code of Compliance. Work will at times be physical (help building decks, gardening) but would also love some home help (dishes, lawn mowing, cleaning etc) since I just broke my finger.

We are blessed to be located in stunning rural Cambridge, surrounded by horses and otherwise very quiet. 1 hours drive to Waitomo Caves, Rotorua, Tauranga etc. Drive to shops so you will need a car.

Hayden works locally as a Joiner and I am a full time mum to our 3 girls 5 months (amazing baby who sleeps all night), 2.5 years (daycare 9h per week) and 5 years old (at school during week). Our kids are in bed early at 5.30 - 6pm so we enjoy evenings without chaos. Must be okay with kids.

We have a guest room (with ensuite) away from our bedroom wing, and 2 living areas (and some amazing deck space once they are reinstated).

We are relaxed and hard working. Quite flexible in the work you do and whe... more inside

***ONE HOUR of help to work in a cute TINY HOUSE in RAGLAN***

We are 5 minutes drive from town and 15 minute drive from the surf so having a car is recommended, i can happily lend you a surfboard or two.

The work isn't glamorous, mostly weeding, freeing trees, building paths but it's a unique setup.

There is power, a heater, external compost toilet, outside gas shower, bugs and spiderwebs, bring your headtorch and come for an adventure.
**UPDATE** THERE IS NOW POWER IN THE CABIN FOR HEATING/COOKING/LAPTOPS etc, I'm sure we can sort you WIFI if required too.

You will be given some direction but we are a busy family so you will essentially be trusted to work your own schedule.

Only available for winter as this is renting out in the summer - more info to be found via my airbnb website link above.
