FULLY BOOKED UNTIL 4th JANUARY
Looking for independent active travellers that enjoy the outdoors and are motivated morning people, we start early.

Welcome we love meeting travellers and have travelled extensively ourselves.

Our farm is 23kms/30mins north of New Plymouth at Huirangi. There is no public transport, bikes are available. We don't go in to town often so having your own transport would be an advantage. Though we can pick you up on arrival and drop you back into town when you leave. We enjoy taking you out and about to explore the area and do some hiking too, it will depend on our workload and how long you are staying. Prefer you to stay at least one week.

At the farm we live in a shed (one room) so the accommodation is in our campervan (see photo's). Toilet & hot shower is outside. Though the accommodation is basic, the view is wonderful. It is a beautiful place. We will provide good meals.

We try to be good hosts and in return we expect you to join us in... more inside

A nice family home near the sea in New Plymouth. We welcome travelers who would like to help in the garden and do some housework or cooking plus walk our dog on the beach and be part of what we do each day. We enjoy sharing this part of the world with appreciative open minded people. I'm an ocean scientist and I travel a lot, and have two sons who are home during the university holidays. There is one other person living with us and one dog. Nearby the surf beach is pretty good and we have surfboards to loan. There is a spare room with two beds for helpers.

We have a 4 Ha block of land about 20 minute drive away. Helpers keen to plant trees, weed riparian areas, mend the fence etc are very welcome.

We run a motel and backpackers. We have an organic vegetable garden and are planning to plant the back 2 acre field, using permaculture philosophies.
We both work full time as teachers and often need a hand to keep on top of chores around the place.
-weeding
-planting
-household chores
-walking the dog
-interior painting(including murals if inclined)

We provide accommodation in either the lodge or the self contained cottage. Full kitchen facilities and utensils are available. We would prefer if helpers cooked for themselves, as we are often home late, and worked less hours: 1-2per day.

Update 6th August - we are unable to have any helpers until October.

We're a couple living in one of earth's places of paradise. Environmentally conscious, aiming for sustainable living and minimal waste. We love exploring, adventuring and creating great memories.
After being transient for 10+ years, we have found our place to spread roots and grow amazing food having bought where we were renting. We're on a semi-rural section in the city! We have fruit trees, gardens, 5 sheep and 3 chickens. The section borders onto Hongihongi Stream and there are lots of native bird life and trees in our sanctuary.
Our place is 2 min drive to great surf and family-friendly beaches, play grounds and parks, and the CBD is 5 min drive away. Bus stop is 50 metres from driveway.
We have a bach on our section as well as our house and if we don't have guests booked, then helpers will stay there (see our 2nd website link above). Otherwise helpers will stay with us in our house.
We need help with... more inside

We are a married couple in our early 30's with our little 8 month old daughter.

We live in a 3 bedroom house and at the moment are occupied. We occupy the master bedroom and a flatmate (man in his late 20s) occupies the other. The 3rd bedroom is vacant; it contains a double bed, wardrobe storage and a study/work desk as well.

You may see on google maps but we are within 5 mins walk to a supermarket and about 20-25 mins walk to town. You can jump onto a bush track that takes to straight to the beach coast line within about 15 mins by cycle.

My wife and I are from Goa, India so expect some goan/indian food during your stay :-).

Hello we are a family of 4 (twin girls aged 6.5) plus 2 pet cats living in the beautiful city of New Plymouth (note: this is NOT a farm-stay!). Kerry (a Kiwi) and Rebecca (an American) are both professionals (engineer and leadership development consultant) and have lived in New Plymouth for 4 years. Our gorgeous house with garden is close to town and backs onto a large park. We are looking for some extra help with kids, primarily in the afternoons (2:30-6pm) with school pick-up and transport to after-school activities (must have valid driver's licence and good driving record), supervising snacks and homework, prepare dinner one night a week) and some minimal garden help if interested (replant our tiny veggie garden!) for 6 weeks while one of us travels back and forth to Australia for work (start-date is end August!). We'd like 3.5-4 hours help a day. Not expected to help on weekends, but might need occasional help on Sunday evening. You'll stay in our full downstairs apartment with... more inside

Hi there, we (Janine and Jilling) are a Dutch family with 2 primary school children, 11 yr Jill and 10 yr Jack, and we love some help! A few months ago, Jilling started a handyman business & Janine started a cafe so could use some help to hold the fort in our character home - like helping to keep the house tidy, help with meals and with the kids (although they think they can do everything themselves, they still need some help).
In exchange you will receive great coffee, room & board in a homestead villa in a very central part of New Plymouth. You will also have your own bathroom and WiFi plus the opportunity to enjoy Taranaki. Please contact us for details, we love to hear from enthusiastic, honest & reliable helpers! We had a wonderful experience already so keen to continue.

We have room in our home again from the 5th of August until the 5th of September 2017, 3 weeks minimum please.
