Help!Looking for an animal lover to help rear our calves this spring. Need to be caring, gentle and practical. No experience needed, we can teach you on the job. Usually two hours morning, and same in the evening. We always need hardworking fun people to help with milking, cooking, pruning, yard work, firewood, and building projects. We have a small family dairy farm, milking 80 cows and 20 free range chooks, alongside a beautiful trout fishing river. Lots of native plantings, and large vegetable garden. We have a solar powered house with composting toilet. My name is Mali and I'm in charge of farm work. My boys are 10 and 13, the younger runs the chickens, and the older controls pest species. Their granny is Heather, and she's in charge of feeding us, and keeping up with homework. We need helpers who want to be part of our family and community, while experiencing life on a kiwi dairy farm. Jobs include housework, cooking, and gardening. Very busy so anyone coming now needs to be ... more inside

Hi!!

We are at the beach near Ngawi, Cape Palliser.

We have a fabulous beach outlook on the South Wairarapa Coast.

Lighthouse, seal colony, bush walks, fishing etc.

We have sheep and lambs, laying hens and a cat.

We are in our 50s & 60s.

We would like to have someone help us with bits and pieces at our property. Some painting inside and outside. Gardening too! Possibly a little cleaning/cooking.

You will have your own fully self contained, separate accommodation, in your own little house, next to ours. You need to leave it clean and tidy when you leave, as it is when you arrive.

We have had lots of people stay with us who have really enjoyed their stays and really appreciated this beautiful part of New Zealand. It is quite remote - no shops or hotels etc. We go to town approx. once a week. The nearest town is approx. 62 km away - being Martinborough. It is best if you have your own car.

Send us an email, or text, if this interests you!!

We are a friendly, fit couple who have travelled widely and enjoy meeting people from other countries. It would be a bonus to have assistance of 4 hours a day as our lovely property and house has lots of challenges.

We live only 500 metres off State Highway 1, and only 6 minutes by car from the town of Levin. We are just over an hour north of Wellington, the Capital of New Zealand which is also the transit point to the South Island.

Levin is a town with 20,000 people and is the agricultural centre for the region. The North Island buses stop there – both Intercity and Nakedbus, and the commuter trains. We will arrange to pick people up and drop off Helpxers if required. There are various things to do in our area including going for tramps in the hills, going to the beaches and lakes and rivers, and exploring the lovely farms and seeing how green New Zealand is. There is lots of local Maori history. We like this area – we moved from Wellington 10 years ago for this better li... more inside

We are sheep and beef, hill country farming 25 minutes east of Masterton in the Gladstone area in the Wairarapa. We farm 646 hectares and run 3900 sheep and up to 300 cattle. We have 3 children, Bella, 10, Sam, 8 and Sophia, 5. Richard is full-time working on the farm, whilst Becks is a mum firstly, but also works 2-3 days from home running her graphic design business. We are looking for people to help us around the house both inside and out as well as some light on farm work. Richard will try and explain what we`re doing on the farm at the time of year, give you a tour around the farm and where able involve you in some of the jobs when handling the animals. As mentioned we are 25 mins east of Masterton and only an hour and a half from Wellington. Accommodation is in with us, with a double bed (plus another mattress which can go on the floor). We'd prefer to host meat eaters as it can make meal times a bit easier for us, however its good to have a mixed diet nowadays!. We feel we`re... more inside

This is a lifestyle block on the outskirts of Masterton. It is very private and quiet despite its proximity to town. It is home to Angie and her two, elderly abyssinian cats. I often need general assistance around the place as the ravages of time have slowed me down somewhat and I feel a little unsafe up ladders and things these days.Very frustrating for someone who is used to doing most things! The inevitable weeding, pruning and limbing up of trees, splitting and stacking of firewood and the odd bit of house maintenance are the sorts of things I need help with. I'm currently trying to get on top of things to put the place on the market (sadly) Accommodation is a nice room with a queen sized bed and a separate bathroom. I do prefer couples as it makes it easier for sleeping arrangements - I don't have any single beds. Food is good (none of us are vegetarian!) and a sense of humour is compulsory!
My background is quite a mix - farming, horticulture, travel and animal nursing to me... more inside
