I will be looking for help over summer dec-april.

This is a small dog kennel and cattery. Your day would typically start at 6am to help me in the kennels. Main duties exercising dogs, cleaning kennels, cleaning the cattery, playing with cats, bit of property maintenance at times. I breed German shepherds so there maybe puppies to help out with. You have your own self contained sleep out.

Catherine is farming a 680 cow dairy unit and is looking for some help over the calving season ideally 4-6 weeks from 20 July The main role will be helping with calf rearing and meal preparation/housework. Calf rearing is quite physically demanding and you also need to be very patient as some calves take a long time to learn how to drink off a feeder. You will live in the main farm house with Catherine which is a warm, comfortable house and have your own bedroom(s). There is WiFi and sky TV. There are great wineries, walks, rivers, fishing, the Marlborough Sounds, Blenheim and Nelson all within easy driving distance. We will provide a car for shopping etc if you don't have your own transport, subject to current valid licence.

Your hosts: Julie & Jeremy & dogs Lexi & Bella.

Hello Traveller!
We are located in Endeavour Inlet, right on the Queen Charlotte Track in Marlborough, where there are no roads and no cars. If you enjoy nature you will love our slice of paradise. We are surrounded by native forest and pristine bays with clear water. You can arrive via water taxi (departing from Picton) or walk the Queen Charlotte Track to reach us.

We are keen to host a mature, independent individual (one person), prepared to work 4 hrs in the morning helping in the garden and with other odd jobs. The rest of the day is yours to explore the surroundings. You can kayak, walk parts of the Queen Charlotte Track or just relax. You will have your own bedroom either in the house with access to wifi, or a separate cosy hut that is separate from the house. We have a small organic garden and much of our meat is also organic (locally caught venison).

We support the local Endeavour Inlet Conservation Trust - see the Facebook page link for more info.

This is a small non-commercial lodge accessible by boat (pick-up at Portage possible) or by walking (30-60 minutes) from nearest road point with parking. The whole property, located on the end of a peninsula in the middle of Kenepuru Sound, is a nature reserve, - native bush (forest) preserved in perpetuity under a QE2 Trust covenant. I'm seeking to encourage (1) the regeneration of the trees and forest fauna by activities like transplanting seedlings, weed & pest control, (2) the appreciation of our bush (forest) via a network of walking tracks (with selective labelling), & (3) appreciation of the possibilities for (comfortable) sustainable, self-sufficient, low-footprint living, with solar electricity & hot water, composting toilets, roof-collected water, & home-grown vegetables, fruit & sea food. Great opportunities for swimming, fishing, kayaking, tramping (hiking) & photography. More than half the property boundary is sea-shore. We are on a small farm with sheep and cattle, chooks, dogs and 2 horses. There is also a large variety of bird life as the farm borders Lake Elterwater. We are 6km from the sea, very close to State Highway 1, and 3km from the township of Ward which has a café/post office. We are just 1 hour from Picton to the north and Kaikoura to the south. The local coastline is rugged and scenic, and there are good walks in the nearby hills. We would welcome some help with a variety of work on the farm and in the garden. We have a fencing project on at the moment.
