We are a backpacker hostel with a restaurant cum bar. We wish to invite travellers to come and stay/help with us.

We need people to help us in our day to day activities basically making beds, cleaning windows and vacuuming. This gives a change to the Volunteer to get a taste of how we work in this country. Moreover, interact with the native kiwis.
We have various facilities that we can offer- that is use of our hot pool, soup every evening, washing and drying facility and some days BBQ nights with the staff, unlimited WIFI

Come experience the quiet life and great outdoors in Glacier Country.

Please contact us if you are interested. We offer a shared dorm in exchange for 3 hrs help in morning. You have the afternoons to explore Fox Glacier and it's walks.

We are dairy farmers in the beautiful Kowhitirangi valley, just inland from Hokitika. We milk approx 320 cows and I raise the calves.

We have 3 boys (10,9 and 6 years old)who go to the local school.

Im needing help in the house with housework while Im busy on farm getting things ready for the new season. We are also taking a short holiday from the 8th of July, so it would be great if someone is able to stay on to look after our pets while we are away.

We have a modern home, you will get your own room and wifi is available.

If this sounds like you then please dont hesitate to message us!

There are spectacular sites nearby with the Hokitika gorge being only about 5km away.

We are developing as a therapeutic retreat and making good progress thanks to helpers input.
Help is always needed in the garden areas, to weed, plant, mulch, tend the labyrinth and in the house..I love it if helpers can cook!!!.
Situated just south of the Oparara River in Karamea, the property is surrounded by farmland and is 5 minutes from the sea, close to the Fenian track. The Heaphy and Wangapeka Tracks begin/end closeby.
At present food and in-house accomodation offered in return for labour and contribution to this life-enhancing project. The property is smoke and drug-free.
Prefer more mature (25+) helpers with good life and practical skills who can cook. Couples are great.

If this does not sound like it suits you.. I may be able to put you in touch with other people in the area.

Also love to host someone who likes cleaning and would be OK to cook a meal sometimes..

Love to hear from you

Just me my dog and a house in the heart of small country town. Alot of friendly tourists pass through here in search of adventure land.

I Would be happy to welcome anyone passing through thats in need of accommodation or a place to park a camper-van, can have access to guest bedroom and the usual facilities, refresh, recharge, relax, eat, drink, smoke, be merry, each to his or her own desire. :)

I have many DIY jobs to do for anyone wanting to stay a little longer and help out.
(Establishing permaculture style backyard and garden, some renovations depending where im at, and a variety of creative ideas and uses of natural resources that are on my to do list! from out door pizza ovens to driftwood picnic tables)

But we are all in such a hurry these days so I am more for boosting the experience. :) (Thats what id want)

So for any adventurers reading I have enough kayaks to plop up to 4 people in the many slow moving tidal rivers around here and spend some leisure tim... more inside

we are a family of 4. john, isabel and our son and daugher, mark and lara. we run a small horse trekking business and are converting old buses into a backpacker-hostel using as many recycled items as possible. the hostel is still in progress so we are not running yet. work includes gardening, landscaping, general maintenance, child care and work with horses (for experienced riders only). also animal care as we raise pigs, ducks and turtles. we also have a dog and cats.
if you are a good worker, keen to learn new skills and don't need close supervision send us an email. we expect helpers to work 4-5hrs but are flexible around any daily activities you might want to do. we have lots of tracks in the area and are close to the pancake rocks and the beach.
No vegetarians please!
