We have recently sold our 362 acre deer, sheep and cattle farm, and are now located on our 50 acre block just 9km out of Te Anau. The main help here is to tidy up the property, in the paddocks and around the house. You would also have daily care of the chooks (hens), pigs, and help with the milking cows and horses. I like a Helper to be motivated and willing to take a turn with the cooking and other household chores. I also have many items to load for sale onto the TradeMe website, which is a useful task to be able to assist with. Georgia our 9 yr old daughter loves getting to know our wwoofers/helpers. We welcome motivated people with initiative, who will help out with everyday little things without needing to be asked. Single helpers preferred at present.
Accommodation is a small clean sleepout next to the house. We like you to come for a week or longer to give you time to settle in and become part of our family.
Our location is near some beautiful scenery and great trampin... more inside

We have a lifestyle block 8km from Te Anau with a large garden.
We grow an extensive range of fruit and vegetables, and process these in various ways.We have bees and our plantings are bee and bird friendly. We also have two very friendly cats (which sadly are not bird friendly). We would love some help with the gardens and household tasks, whatever needs to be done on the day. Some of the work is heavy for instance pruning and mulching.
We would like to host people who are practical and quick learners, prepared to help out steadily for 4 hours a day, are not smokers, and eat a variety of food including meat. Your own transport is also necessary as we live out of town.
In return you will have a comfortable bedroom in our house (the bathroom is shared) and meals. If you want to work a full day then have a day off to explore our beautiful area, that is fine with us. We are right on the edge of Fiordland National Park!

We have a small farm running Highland cattle, some milking cows for our own use, hens, pigs and ducks and lambs.
We have a moderate size tunnel house raising our own seed for vegtables and depending on the season can be self sufficient in meat and vegetables, fruit and berries. We are alongside the Waikaia River and during the fishing season this a great trout river.
Our home is 3 kms from the local small town and within 2 hrs to Te Anau, Dunedin, Queenstown and Invercargill.
We would welcome help on the property either in the gardens and tunnelhouse or with the stock or buildings. We are willing to share our skills in animal husbandry and landcare with anyone willing to learn, and encourage your help with working with the stock.
Any Trade skills would be welcomed and used. We would look for around 4-5 hours help per day. There is a wonderful DOC reserve just up the road with tracks and off road exploring around about.
Great Cellphone reception and wifi available.

We focus on breeding and training purebred Arabian horses to compete at top level Endurance races all over the world. All handling, shoeing and training is done here. This includes starting young horses in the yards through to training seasoned endurance horses.
We are looking for experienced riders who are willing to learn and share horse knowledge. Ability to ride green broke horses and/or starters would be a bonus.
Riding lessons are available for inexperienced riders in return for household duties or gardening.

hello helpers. Be great to have you come and help us. We are a small cafe, a museum, a developing garden. Sometimes Airbnb. You'll love the space - very arty and interesting. You'll be doing anything from creating to cleaning.
Here we are the gateway to Stewart Island, Catlins and Fiordland. It's South so sometimes quite cold.
You'll live with a small friendly dog and snooty cat. Minimum 1 week stay - but flexible if you wish to come and go. Better to have your own transport as I pretty much work full time. Be great to hear from you. Cheers Cherie

We would love a hand with painting
, interior decorating, gardening, exterior decorating, cooking, building, plumbing etc. We are flexible with hours but on average ask for four hours help per day in exchange for a taste of home with a warm, comfy bed, good food and great company.

This is a lifestyle property very close to Invercargill which is a good base if you have a car and want to visit the Catlins, Stewart Island, Fiordland, local walks, cultural and sporting facilities of Invercargill. A small herd of White Galloway cows and beef cattle are grazed on the property. A flock of free range chickens produce fresh free range eggs. Mike is a tramping hunting fishing outdoor man who also enjoys cooking. If you like them there is always organic beef, wild venison, trout, duck, or whitebait available. Three dogs enjoy a walk to Seaward Bush which is close by. Help with fire wood, housework, gardens and cooking is appreciated. Accommodation is a large sunny room with a balcony in the home. There is plenty of room and power if you have a camper van. Feel free to call for an obligation free inspection.

Close to Queenstown and Dunedin (both have airports).

Please phone me directly. I own a Livestock company (see my Facebook link above) and looking for people to help in tailing gang, conveying & someone else to help indoors :-)

We have a large, steep to rolling hill country farm. Located 2 hours south of Dunedin, 45 mins north of Invercagill & about an hour south of Queenstown.
Most people plan to stay a few days but end up 2-3 weeks.

It is an ideal central location for exploring the best part of New Zealand. We're happy to pick you up at the bus stop in Gore. We also have WiFi and Sky.

We have sheep, deer, cattle, chickens and pigs. You can ride motorbikes, horses & tractors as well as have an introduction to the 'Kiwi' lifestyle.

We are looking for some help with farm work, cooking, cleaning & general housework. Also some socialising :-)

We still actively play tennis & other sports.

The farm house is very large & so their will be plenty of room !!

Hi guys,

We are a farming family with 4 young children living 15 mins from Invercargill city. We welcome people to come on a CULTURAL EXCHANGE for 3 nights to enrich our lives.

While we don't do a help exchange as such, as a guest of our family, you can expect to share in our everyday farm and family life :)

Your own transport is useful if you want to go and explore, and because of our young ones, we would prefer non-smoking people please.

We have a hut ("The Nest"), just next to our home, which you are welcome to stay in. It is small, but tidy and new, with good insulation and good heating. The Nest doesn't have toilet or shower facilities (they're in the house and not available during the night). It has 1 queen-sized bed and comes with its own chamber pot to pee in (or series of outside bushes.)

If this all sounds okay to you please feel free to get in touch. Please don't be offended if we don't get back to you right away. We try to answer everyone but every now a... more inside
