I am a retired chiropractor with a large house and garden 325 metres above the Southern Bays on Banks peninsula, near Christchurch. There is a separate sleep out and bathroom,so one has plenty of privacy and the work is simply helping to keep the house and grounds maintained. It is isolated and beautiful. One is expected to put in 4 hours work for room and board but am willing to negotiate the other 4 hours. Total flexibility
I have been told by helpers that my description was rather terse, so am now trying to be more expansive.I have lived and was educated in both Europe and the States, but am now a happy and proud Kiwi. If you have other questions,or are interested in staying while in the Christchurch area, please let me know, and we will work something out. Peace.

We live on a 5 hectare hazelnut farm 30km southeast of Christchurch nestled in a picturesque valley. The work is pruning, harvesting nuts and general lifestyle block chores (firewood collection, tree planting or weeding, small building tasks). Nikki is a Kiwi and son Luca is a teenager. We are interested in biking, horse riding, kayaking, walking, beach, film, reading and having a balanced life. We have a wonderful community and previous volunteers have enjoyed the stay immensely. The stay starts at 3-4 days if suitable and work available between 1-3 weeks. We can pick volunteers up but a car is preferable for independence. We are non smokers.

Helpers needed start of July through Aug 2018... for later dates please write to us :-)

This will be winter time, and mostly devoted to wood projects, from firewood to wood flooring.

Kathy will be away and Bruce will be running things. Maybe more social than our norm, which is:

YOU are perfect for here if: you identify as an introvert, you are a hard worker, don't mind spending a large part of the day by yourself or with your fellow helpers, and are interested in reconnecting with nature and having a bit of a retreat.

We are an American (San Francisco) ex-pat couple, no kids, on a lifestyle block over Akaroa Harbour, Wainui Valley; our home is our sanctuary; lots of interests and projects and try to cater to wwoofer interests. All skill-sets welcome. Couples or self-guided individuals. Short or longs stays okay. We enjoy intellectual conversation, metaphysics, meditation, making and eating good food, & board games.

We ask for 4 hours work per day for room and board. ... more inside

We are a busy farming family of 4 looking for willing and able people to come help us with jobs like gardening, spring cleaning around the house, firewood, and painting.
Helpers will be given food to make there own breakfast and lunch, With a cooked meal at night, in exchange 4 hours per day of Work.

We have 3 young children and live in beautiful Little Akaloa by the sea. We run a small sheep farm and Olive grove.
We have a brand new sleep out with a kitchen unit, ensuite and a super comfy double bed!
We would require help predominantly on the farm and in the garden as we have quite a big property to maintain.
If you like kids, animals, the sea and want to live in a sleepy little bay on Banks Peninsula this is the place for you. Must have your own car as this would allow you some independence

We live in the bush on a hill overlooking the beautiful Akaroa Harbour in French Farm Bay. We are in a stunning location in a four year old two storey container home with three bedrooms and three bathrooms plus we have a bush bach also that can be used if preferred. We need some help with establishing a walk way round the 7 hectares of Bush and some general maintenance work which could include cutting down the native Kanuka bush.
We would expect our HelpX Helpers to work a full 4 hour morning in return for top accommodation, great food and the ability to go kayaking when they wish and we would be able to take them out sailing if they were interested and it suited our schedule. If we did want to complete a full day on the job our helpers would then have a full day off at their leisure - we are flexible and want them to get to know the area.
