Hosting.

Room available now.

We have a comfortable 4 bedroom home and would love to host a helper or 2.

Our household consists of myself (Jeanie), my girlfriend (Jo). Please note we are a lesbian couple. If that makes you uncomfortable this home isn't for you.

We also have 2 cats and 2 dogs.

We are looking for someone willing to help with some general cleaning e.g. vacuum, mop, dishes, tidying, mowing etc

We would be taking turns making meals (when you message please let us know 3 meals you enjoy making).

We are wanting to clear out and clean up the garage to make room for wood working and furniture making so this would be something we definitely want some help with.

It is important that once you are shown how to do something (and have asked any questions you may have :))e.g. use dishwasher, washing machine or dryer that you can then use it without ongoing supervision. It is also important that you have experience cleaning your own house and know how to clea... more inside

**** Updated 2 September 2020****

Small family of 3 looking for a person or couple to help with day to day tasks around the house and yard.

We have recently moved to a small property just outside Melbourne. Our home is already well set up but we need some help to make it perfect for us. Jobs we need help with are attaching wire mesh to existing fences to keep the dogs / chickens / horses separated, basic gardening (mostly weeding and later maybe helping plant some veggies), feeding and looking after the animals (chickens, rabbit, horses, dogs).

Somebody with experience with horses would be great but this is not at all essential.

We live 50 minutes from Melbourne city by train in the town of Riddells Creek.

4-5 hours per day (20-25 hours per week) in exchange for room and all meals. Min stay 2 weeks please.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Au pair/Horse/ farm hand required. We have been very lucky to have had fantastic au pairs/farm hands over the last 7 years, who have all stayed for 3 months.

My husband and I run two saddlery stores in Shepparton and Bendigo. We also have showjumping and show horses. We have two children. Eliza is 9 and Sarah is 7. We require a female to help with the school pick ups (at present you will be required to do the home schooling, until schools return), taking to sports, housework, gardening, ironing, cooking, stables and yard maintenance..

You will have your own bedroom in our farm house. You will share the house with another female backpacker who works on our trotting farm.
We live on a farm at Tatura, which is 21km from Shepparton.
Tatura is situated in the Goulburn Valley, approx 200km north of Melbourne in the Goulburn Valley. The major regional centre of the Goulburn Valley is the City of Shepparton.

During the recent months of the COVID 19 pandemic, we have not been taking any HelpXers but, looking ahead, we hope we shall be able to find 2-3 young travellers who are virus-free to join us for 2-3 weeks in October. Of course we understand the future is not yet clear but we make this notation on our profile so those who may be interested keep us in mind during any planning.

We're always interested in hearing from strong, young people willing and able to help us in the garden and on the farm - those who are also interested in sharing experiences and culture in a happy atmosphere. We prefer non-smokers and omnivores!

Over the years, we have enjoyed the company of over fifty HelpXers. We especially enjoy helping new arrivals settle into Australia during their GAP year or during tertiary studies, giving non-intrusive support and advice. Many of our HelpXers return for a second and sometimes third visit.

We are very looking for a helper or helpers from November 2020. We operate guest accommodation comprising 2-3 rooms in Queenscliff Victoria however we’re not taking guests at the moment but the property still requires maintenance. Our house is close to the beach, cafes, shops and restaurants. We are located on the Bellarine peninsula and the beginning of the great ocean road drive. Queenscliff is about a 90 minute drive south of Melbourne. You can also take the V-Line train from Southern cross station in Melbourne to Geelong which takes aprox 1 hr where you can then catch a bus to Queenscliff which takes 40 - 45 mins.

We are looking for one or two helpers to work 6 hours a day, 4 days a week with 3 days off per week, however we can negotiate more hours per day for more days off if you prefer. We have a small farm in the popular tourist area of the Dandenong Ranges and Yarra valley. We are only an hour from the city, trains to the city are close by, but we do recommend having a car particularly if you want to look around the beautiful Yarra ranges.
Nearby you’ll find puffing billy, famous gardens, walking trails and a few great live music venues (when they re-open)
By foot there are plenty of great walking tracks, lake for swimming/ kayaking and camping is available here too.
We do offer a private bedroom and bathroom plus 2-3 meals a day.

In exchange we ask for 4 hours a day. Tasks include weed control, gardening and help with cows occasionally.
On the farm there are also 2 Australian kelpies, three cats and a pig.
Musicians welcome ! Hanako speaks Japanese and Andy can speak a little French too but English is still practical for work anyway.

Maximum stay 1-2 weeks, maybe longer, were new to HelpX so well see how it goes!

Thanks, we look forward to meet... more inside

Currently in Lockdown.....cannot accomodate Helpers!

Ken, Robyn & Barbara (Robyn's sister) would like to welcome you to our place in the beautiful Dandenong Ranges, about 50 minutes east of Melbourne CBD

Spring in the Dandenong Ranges - some chilly days but usually plenty of sunshine! Good weather to visit our cool ferny parks & gardens.......and work in our big garden!

Please read our profile carefully - see what we provide in exchange for 3 hours work per day, weekends off!! Our place is ideal for a single helper or a couple - not two friends as we have a double bed only.

There is always work to be done in the garden here, getting rid of leaf litter & bark, raking & sweeping, and pruning some bushes & trees, so this is a good place to be if you like being outdoors.

We also have lots of small maintenance jobs to do - painting windowsills, small repairs to steps, etc. Plus some indoor jobs such as cleaning, dusting, vacuuming etc.

We really ... more inside
