We have renovated a luxurious historic homestead located on edge of Shepparton in Victoria which has some B&B accommodation. The garden is 2 hectares with forests, a lake and a sunken garden. It is used for weddings, garden tours, wedding receptions and small functions. It is located 180km north of Melbourne in the heart of the fruit and wine region of Victoria and 40 minutes from the mighty Murray River. To view photos of the property go to the website listed above and a video of the property on YouTube. Our garden was in the Australian open garden scheme for 20 years and is often used for charity events. It is very large to maintain in peak condition and we would love you to come and assist us with the garden and homestead maintenance. In particular our organic vegie garden becomes overgrown very quickly at times and we use the produce from this to feed our guests or make home made preserves, pickles and chutneys. Dependent on the time of year your stay could involve anything fro... more inside

Looking for Helper for 3-4 weeks from January 1st 2019

Please read our reviews from helpers! We enjoy the cultural exchange and have made many wonderful friends over the years.

Our historic property ( 1912 ) operates a small blueberry farm in the beautiful Dandenong Ranges. Our blueberries were one of the first planted commercially in 1982.We are a small boutique blueberry farm. We have really enjoyed all our Helpers over the years.

Most work will be outside, helping with our blueberry harvest and stuff that just needs to be done like cleaning cars' feeding alpaca and llama etc. Help indoors really helps us get on with our work maybe general household chores on cold or wet days. There will be opportunities to go to Farmers Markets with us.
If you like to cook, perhaps you might like to cook a meal or too.
You will have time off to explore but we would hope for your help mornings till about 1pm but this will be flexible.

In return for your help, we provide full ... more inside

Hi my name is Ilan.

I work as a researcher in the school of public health at Latrobe University as well as running workshops in many settings on the themes of compassion and healthy living. I am also a performing artists and musician. I am 44 years old and live alone.

I have a comfortable, clean, home on a large block with fruit trees, chickens, and an expanding vegetable garden.

I welcome people to come and stay for a week
who would like to help me with gardening, vegetable growing, home maintenance such as fence painting, and some housework. I would expect an average of 4-5 hours a day, and would provide fresh healthy food - all of the supplies for your own breakfast and lunches, and I can cook some dinners. (I love to cook!)

My home is in a great area with easy access to many transport options, lots of cafe's and bars, interesting shops, extensive parklands, and beautiful waterways. It is 20min by public transport to the central city, and is very close to many other... more inside

Hi to all of you wonderful Helpx friends our names are Brian and Judy and we live on 10 acres on the outskirts of beautiful, historical Bendigo Victoria.
We have 2 dogs, a cat and 6 different breeds of heritage poultry,
We also sell the chooks from home and at poultry auctions through the year.
We have had 35 different Wwoofers over 9 years and are still in contact with most of them through Facebook and often recall the wonderful nights around our table with the exchange of cultures, customs, humour and information. I personally have found this time to be the most precious memory of all, and although the help we receive is very valued the interaction with new friends is by far the stand out part of all stays.
We have unlimited wifi that you can log into, and really most days at most, require 4 hours help a day, at different times we have new lambs and chics hatching, beautiful australian pardalos that live free on our back balcony, rosellas in boxes (also free) hatching their ba... more inside

Hi, welcome to the beautiful Daylesford region! We are Jill and Phil. We have relocated to the picturesque Ballan township from South Australia where we were active hosts for many years.
The property has enormous garden areas that constantly need clearing and tidying and we always have new projects in mind. I (Jill) cook for local cafes and do larger catering jobs and always need a hand in the kitchen. We grow veggies and have many pets - 3 goats, 2 alpacas, 3 sheep 7 chickens, 2 ducks and a cat who rules the house. A new Puppy will be due soon as we recently lost our mate Buddy after 18 years of love and tail wags. There will always be plenty to do - even just a lazy house sit from time to time as we do go back to Adelaide a lot. Ballan is well situated with transport in Western Victoria and there is a train directly to/from Melbourne which takes under an hour. In either direction within 25 minutes you have the vibrant and historic Victorian towns of Daylesford and Ballarat. You'... more inside

**No availability until late January 2019**

Our two acre property is in the heart of Rutherglen, a 150 year old winemaking region in Victoria, which is famous for its fortified wines and red wines. Our home is a 15 minute bike ride from the famous Murray River, which is a perfect spot for beers, a picnic or a swim. Our garden overlooks nearly 100 year old vineyards and we're a five minute walk to the main street where you'll find cafes, bakeries, wine bars, shopping, groceries and great coffee.

Our place is home to heritage breed chooks, a border collie named Olive and we have more than 20 varieties of fruit trees, a veggie patch and a lovely swimming pool.

We have a little toddler, Alexander, which is amazing, but it means we haven't had the chance to keep on top of our garden, which is why we need your help.

We're able to offer a queen bedroom and large bathroom with shower and bath, as well as yummy home cooked dinners, a bike to borrow so you can ride around the win... more inside

We are a small acreage about 100km northeast of Melbourne, with orchard, olive grove, chickens, sheep, large vegie gardens, two spoilt dogs and a cat.
Would love some help with weeding in the vegie gardens and ornamental gardens, preparing beds for planting and generally keeping the farm and gardens tidy and mulched. I would like more time to put out biodynamic preparations too.We have a hot house where we propagate seedlings to sell and plant in the vegie garden.
Barbara is a great cook and we run a catering business from home. We run a wood fired pizza cafe, which operates from home four nights per week. This is a VERY busy household! There may be some help needed in the kitchen, or front of house but we have paid staff for this, most of the time. For those with the skills, there may be some home maintenance jobs.
We often go down to Melbourne and you are welcome to tag along and visit the Victoria Market, or stay home and explore the beauty of our mountain ranges and rivers. I... more inside
