We have a large organic vegetable garden that we try to grow most of our vegetables in (although at different times of the year there is little to pick) and a large house block with many flowers and fruit trees. From our deck there is a wonderful view of Mt. Wellington. It's a great place for a cup of tea or glass of wine!

We are a couple in our 60's who both work mostly from home (a potter/pottery teacher and a furniture restorer/environmental consultant). Helpers may get to help at Salamanca Market with Jude's pottery stall and in the pottery studio. You might get to make something for yourself as well as learning some pottery techniques.

Mostly we ask helpers to weed the garden, or do other gardening chores. We find the garden a never ending job! No matter what we do there are always weeds!! We prefer helpers who don't mind getting their hands dirty.

Thanks to many wonderful helpers who have stayed with us we have created brick paths in the garden. There is a Chine... more inside

Bruny Island (S43 07'27"/E147 20'54") is just south of Hobart TAS and is serviced by a car ferry from Kettering. The resident population of the Island is just under 1000 but this increases significantly during the summer tourist season.
The Lodge has separate accommodation rooms (2) for guests and is located in an attractive waterfront light bushland setting on the shores of Half Moon Bay with a small private beach.
The work involves outdoor landscaping, minor building renovations & some beach improvements.
The property is being prepared for short-term holiday accommodation this season.
Accommodation, meals & hours of work are negotiable but suggest accommodation & meals are fully found in return for 5hrs work per day with an immediate start. The overall duration of the stay is negotiable but probably about one or two weeks.
The 'stay' is envisaged as a working/holiday and is easy going, flexible, fun, with music, TV , internet reception etc.

Looking for building and gardening help asap November 2018. Must be strong, heavy lifting involved.

A family permaculture property in Crabtree TAS, with a large variety of rare and interesting fruit and nut trees, including Australian bush food plants. Most of the time, there are four of us living here, Lyn, Tony, Selina and Flash (the dog) plus chickens, geese and native wildlife. We moved from Sydney to Tasmania just over 4 years ago to embrace sustainability and living in nature. We were lucky enough to find a beautiful house next to a pretty mountain stream (Crabtree creek) on 7 acres in the Huon Valley.

We are exceptionally health conscious and eat natural good food. We are trying to as much as possible support ourselves from our land and locally. We are also food lovers and are experienced and skilled in the kitchen.

Selina: Hello, I have WWoofed in the U.K. so am understanding of needs. I have studied and have interests in experimental natural farming, permacultur... more inside

So many local beauty spots and world class attractions nearby this small rural property is located in the Huon Valley, in peaceful southern Tasmania. Help needed to clear a small portion of the land, construct and maintain gardens and maintain the house, and perhaps some housework and scanning photos if it's raining! Accommodation, tasty meals and friendly atmosphere offered in exchange for work, with plenty of time off to explore. Tasks could include brush cutting, some chainsawing (if suitably qualified), weeding, digging, fencing (nothing major), "handyman" jobs etc so fitness and a practical approach or some experience in these tasks would be a definite advantage. Comfortable double room, shared family bathroom, free reliable wifi and private deck area to get away from it all, or join the household if you choose. You would also be welcome to join in social activities if you would like to. Main deck overlooks a large dam with resident platypus which can be seen almost every day... more inside

We're looking for a kind and enthusiastic couple interested in joining our home over the summer. The type of things we need help with will be mainly outdoors - clearing land, chopping and stacking wood, care and maintenance of animals and paddocks, and general gardening. We would expect something like 5 hours work a day but this is flexible. A love of animals and children is essential! We are a friendly, sociable couple in our mid-thirties who love to cook and chat, and you can expect lots of delicious BBQs and good music. We happily cater for both vegans and non-vegans. We also have an 18 month old daughter, a young dog and two indoor rabbits. We have a spare room in our home, or a large tall tent with a bed set up on the property if preferred.
We are located in Collinsvale, 25 minutes out of Hobart and 15 minutes from Glenorchy. There is no public transport so you would need your own vehicle or we can arrange to pick you up. Length of stay is negotiable up to one month. Children ... more inside

NON SMOKERS ONLY! Sorry, no helpers needed at the moment. I (Yvonne) have a house in West Launceston, it is not a farm! Helpers assist me with cleaning, tidying & housework, gardening, weeding, feeding the chooks and cats, food preparation and cooking.
My house is a bit cluttered so I need YOUR help for a week or so to keep it clean and tidy, so this is not a suitable placement for helpers who don't want to do housework! Work hours depend on what I need you to do, so you must be flexible, but you will work an average of four hours a day. Minimum stay three nights.
I can collect/deliver you to/from anywhere in Launceston, the local bus depot or Launceston airport. You will be rewarded with good food, a room with a single bed and/or double air mattress, and a friendly household. My homestay uni student can also speak Mandarin Chinese.
Helpers MUST be NON SMOKERS. Due to allergies and my work with food I WON'T accept any helpers who smoke! No drugs or excessive alcohol consumption ... more inside

Welcome to our a spray free food forest and establishing permaculture haven. Located near the beautiful Huon river 40 minutes South of Hobart.

We are currently designing the property and are looking to start earth moving this spring. We also have 1 week to design and construct structures (outdoor kitchen, teepees, etc...) before our engagement party. Most work is to be enjoyed including tree planting, earth moving, weeding, mulching, sustainable building, harvesting crops which include; raspberries, blueberries, strawberries, apples, annual vegetables and setting up a tree nursery. As plants develop at a faster pace in spring we need your help to keep up! Food is galore and we love activities betwe... more inside

A peaceful 86 hectare farm with vineyard, organic vegie garden, creeks, pasture, forest and wetland. The farm is behind the Adventure Bay township and it's only a 15 minute walk through farm and wetland to the shop. We hope to harvest our first vintage of pinot noir in autumn 2019. The farm teems with birdlife and wallabies including rare white wallabies, and you may see an echnidna. We now have a large caravan (Salon Michelle) that can accommodate two helpers. The van is self contained except for toilet and shower - helpers may use these facilities in our short term rental cottage if unoccupied or in the house. John tends a productive organic garden. Depending on our supplies, we may be able to supply you with the world's freshest vegies. You can also fish from a local jetty. And we can feed you too, of course - we'll come to an arrangement over food. Jobs could include weed control on the farm and vineyard, cleaning the house or accommodation cottage, painting, or help with vario... more inside
