We have a small farm in St Marys, Tasmania. We also care for injured native wildlife before they are released back into the wild. We mainly care for bare nosed wombats but we sometimes also care for wallabies and kangaroos.

We are looking for people who can help us out with the gardening and caring for our animals. Caring for the animals takes around half an hour in the morning and half an hour in the afternoon and half an hour later at night. Our vegetable gardens are very well kept, so they don't take much work. All up, there is about 2 or maybe 3 hours of work each day. It's very easy.

We will provide food for visitors. Visitors will have their own room. We will take visitors around the local area to see the North East Coast of Tasmania. We have kayaks that guests can use. We are very keen hikers and campers.

St Marys is mostly a tourist area very close to places like Freycinet National Park, Bay of Fires and the North East Tasmania beaches at Bicheno, Scamander and St ... more inside

Opportunity to join a fun, dynamic farm. Opportunity to take on responsibilities, learn new farming skills, and be part of a team.

This is a farm in Preston, about 20 minutes inland from Ulverstone in NW Tasmania. We run a 2 hectare market garden, and sell our produce at the Cradle Coast Farmers Market in Ulverstone, and Harvest Market in Launceston, every weekend.

We run an Eco-Arts Retreat in a beautiful, peaceful part of the Huon Valley, Tasmania.

https://www.dreamfarmvillage.com/

Alex and Elisse are looking for one or two willing helpers to assist us for the period of one week, mainly in the fields. In return for a few hours of daily outdoor work, we offer you extremely comfortable, warm accommodation, home cooked dinners, and your own mini creative retreat at Dreamfarm.

Tasks include care for native seedlings and fruit trees, some weeding, mulching, and an amount of digging. One of us has an injury at the moment, and would appreciate the assistance. The work will be active and mostly outdoors, although on rainy days there is some indoor cleaning to be done.

So many local beauty spots and world class attractions nearby this small rural property is located in the Huon Valley, in peaceful southern Tasmania. Help needed to clear a small portion of the land, construct and maintain gardens and maintain the house, and perhaps some housework and scanning photos if it's raining! Accommodation, tasty meals and friendly atmosphere offered in exchange for work, with plenty of time off to explore. Tasks could include brush cutting, some chainsawing (if suitably qualified), weeding, digging, fencing (nothing major), "handyman" jobs etc so fitness and a practical approach or some experience in these tasks would be a definite advantage. Comfortable double room, shared family bathroom, free reliable wifi and private deck area to get away from it all, or join the household if you choose. You would also be welcome to join in social activities if you would like to. Main deck overlooks a large dam with resident platypus which can be seen almost every day... more inside

We have recently moved to a lovely 5 acre horse property 20 minutes outside of Hobart. We have a 3 1/2 year old son who is engaging, creative, curious, and funny. We would love help around the property, with gardening, property maintenance, housekeeping, and child care.

We can offer a private bedroom separate from the main house (shared shower and toilet), plus meals. There are lots of walking tracks around the area, and regular bus service in to town. Additionally we often travel into town and are happy to give lifts. We also are new to Tasmania, and would be happy to take you with us on small excursions when we explore the land and sea.

We are looking for someone that would be interested in integrating into our family life for the length of your stay. We would prefer someone with a drivers licence, but that is not essential. Non-smoker preferred.

I welcome helpers if you like being outside on the farm.
What you see is what you get- I do not promise four stars, but true seclusion and rustic comfort only 20 minutes from the vibrant art and craft town of Deloraine.
I need help catching up with the farm and house maintenance, because there I was studying at uni for 13 years.

Spring has arrived with lots of colourful flowers. Weather can be variable, however it will be mostly cool to mild, with many wonderful sunny days. Many birds are active and conspicuous. There is still frequent snowfall at nearby at Cradle Mountain.
There is firewood to stack when the splitter comes soon. Other farm tasks include digging, fencing, mulching and always blackberry control. Fence/gate repairs ideally need someone to help me who has some previous small farm skills.

Hello! We are a friendly family with 2 kids, aged 3 and 9. We live in South Hobart, which is a vibrant and welcoming community. We are only five minutes' drive from central Hobart, so if you're interested in seeing Tasmania's capital city, enjoying our many food and culture festivals or visiting the famous MONA art gallery, we are a great base. Although we are close to the city, our house is set among beautiful bush land with views of Mt. Wellington and the Derwent River.
You would be sleeping in a spare room in our house and sharing our kitchen and bathroom facilities; you are welcome to join us for (mostly vegetarian) meals. We all love going on adventures and being in nature; if we are going bushwalking / kayaking / caving / rafting while you are here, you will be very welcome to join us. Matt is an outdoor education instructor and I am a children's book author.
Our other interests include writing, art, building Lego, playing music, and sometimes movies and computer gam... more inside

We are a 270 acre property located on the lower east coast of Tasmania, 40 min from Hobart. We are located next to some of Tassie's premier watersports, bushwalking and mountain-biking regions. We run beef cattle and goats for meat and dairying. We have lots of farm jobs we need help with, including milking the goats, animal husbandry, fencing, general farm maintenance in addition to some gardening and contributing to household chores (including cooking). We expect out helpers to work hard with us, but you are well rewarded for your efforts with great food, Wifi access, use of watersports gear, and other privileges. Accommodation for 2 in the caravan (use of amenities in house), shared meals (mixed diet), non-smokers please. Prefer minimum stays of 2 weeks, but happy to negotiate longer stays.

Welcome to Whakauti,

We are a family of 4, myself my daughter , her baby and our 1 rescue dog.
We live in the beautiful Huon Valley in a place called Cradoc which is close to Cygnet and Huonville township.
Our home is on 16 acres of Bushland where we have a small vege patch and fruit trees. We maintain and cut our own firewood, we build and create and enjoy our humble abode.
Our home is small and simple...we cook off gas and sometimes off our fire and we are on tank water, which means we have to watch our usage in the summertime due to lack of rain.
We are vegetarians and would love to try something different from another culture.

We would be asking for 2 hours a day with 2 days off with plenty of time to explore and enjoy your stay in Tasmania. We offer short stay only 1-2 weeks stay depending on our availability.

The type of work involved would be helping out with walking our dog, cooking an evening meal from time to time, help with firewood, maintaining grounds an... more inside
