Small hobby farm just 5kms outside the town of Deloraine in the north of Tassie. Deloraine is a farming/tourist town located on the way to Walls of Jerusalem and Cradle Mtn National Parks and near the Mole Creek caves. Public transport is available from Launceston or Devonport to Deloraine.

The farm is owned by myself and Pete. We have a large 3 bedroom house which is also occupied by several very friendly indoor cats. Guest bedroom has a double bed and is kept cat free.

We are still slowly establishing our farm, currently working on possum proofing vegetable garden beds, fencing for our friendly goats and poultry, pallet constructions and weed control. There is a lot of bush and some tall trees.

If people have the skill or the desire we are also keen to put in a small mountain bike track at the back of our property :).

We are offering a home stay arrangement with meals in exchange for some assistance with gardening, weeding, landscaping, fencing, and general maintenance... more inside

Bridport is a delightful seaside town in the North East of Tasmania.

I am a retired teacher, passionate gardener and am interested in conservation of native species.
I offer self contained accommodation in a cottage in exchange for a couple of hours of work a day. No meals will be provided, but there may be garden produce to share.

There are various jobs - we could mend my old wooden sheds, we could prepare and paint the cottage, there are trees to plant and a vegie and native garden to tend.

In Bridport there are walking tracks, numerous beaches, two supermarkets, two pubs, two cafes and loads of friendly locals.

I need help for a couple of weeks, but my last helpers came for ten days, got jobs and stayed for ten weeks. I'm flexible.

We are located in the idyllic valley of Lorinna; an active, vibrant rural community with a strong cooperative ethos, frequent communal events and working bees, a food co-op, abundant wildlife and wonderfully clean soil, air and water.
We live on a property with several other households with whom we share work and resources and a stand-alone photovoltaic and micro-hydro power system.
We are a family of four with a 7 year old daughter and a 3 year old son whom we homeschool with a natural learning approach.
We`ve recently returned from a five month bicycle trip through Europe (planned around visiting some of the amazing friends we`ve made through Help X) and are keen to further embrace the joys of simplicity and are building a tiny home from reclaimed materials where we can live a more minimalist, outdoor lifestyle. We primarily need help with building and/or playing with the children while we build. Other projects we may be working on include playing in the vegetable garden, plann... more inside

*Sorry, we can't sign for 2nd year work visas*

*Currently looking for a HelpXer or a couple, we have availability from 8th October through to January.*

Relatively new to Tasmania and the beautiful Huon Valley, we have recently moved into our lovely cottage house on 4 acres. Our household currently consists of 5 sheep,5 new lambs, 11 chickens, 9 ducks, 3 pigs and our super cute cats Pinot and Hops.

We're attempting to learn and discover the wonders of a small farm, whilst at the same time studying and working. Stuart is a registered nurse and Likira studying her Masters in Social Work. We are enjoying our organic vegetable garden, fruit orchard and learning to keep happy and healthy animals.

We are both really happy and laid back people, love the company of good friends, interesting people and challenging conversations. The Huon Valley inspires us with the amazing environment, spectacular scenery, delicious produce and great sense of community. We LOVE to use local pro... more inside

We have a large organic vegetable garden that we try to grow most of our vegetables in (although at different times of the year there is little to pick) and a large house block with many flowers and fruit trees. From our deck there is a wonderful view of Mt. Wellington. It's a great place for a cup of tea or glass of wine!

We are a couple in our 60's who both work mostly from home (a potter/pottery teacher and a furniture restorer/environmental consultant). Helpers may get to help at Salamanca Market with Jude's pottery stall and in the pottery studio. You might get to make something for yourself as well as learning some pottery techniques.

Mostly we ask helpers to weed the garden, or do other gardening chores. We find the garden a never ending job! Since the photos were taken the garden has flourished, but there are always weeds!! We prefer helpers who don't mind getting their hands dirty.

Thanks to many wonderful helpers who have stayed with us we have created brick ... more inside

WE ARE CURRENTLY LOOKING FOR HELPERS TO HELP WITH LANDSCAPING/YARD WORK at the start of October!!!

Hello helpers! We are Rose, Luke, Billy and ChloŽ Jarman and we would love to welcome you to our place, Home on the Hill Tasmania :-)

I'm Rose, I'm 35, a transplanted Brit, a midwife and a mum to our happy little bubs William and ChloŽ, Larry (dog) and Lucy (cat). My husband Luke is from South Australia and a carpenter by trade. We have both travelled quite extensively and both Helpx'd and WWOOFed since 2004. I speak a little French and a few words of Spanish so while we welcome those of you who speak other languages (and we love to learn!), we are mostly English speaking.

We live about 20 minutes outside of Hobart in the tiny village of Collinsvale - no public transport is available so your own vehicle is strongly advised. We are on 10 acres of gardens and native bushland and currently chicks and chooks but thats it in the way of livestock!

Update: looking to have our first people/person anywhere from mid November onwards! Have lots of gardening and fencing that we will all be working towards completing :)

Family of four: Steph, Dave, Ollie (2yrs) and Millie (4months).

We have a small hobby farm located 40min from Launceston including cows, sheep, a goat, a dog, chickens and two pet birds! Occasionally we also have a pig or two!

We would be after people who could help out with a range of tasks from General house cleaning (windows, floors, etc) to gardening to helping with the animals!

As our children are so small we are very careful to look out for our little ones! Experience with small children would be essential!

We would be looking at having one person or two people! You would have your own room and food in exchange for 4-5hrs help which could be flexible and varied! Assistance with day to day living tasks would not be included as part of the help hours! Due to the little ones a minimum of 1 week ... more inside
