I’m a busy single mum to an 8 year old, looking for some help around the house with heavy chores, basic DIY, and grocery shopping.
We live just metres from the seafront in Mumbles, close to many local amenities including several grocery stores and multiple pubs and restaurants.
The Gower is an amazing place to explore with many opportunities for outdoor and water sports. Swansea City Centre is around 20 minutes by bus- the bus stop being directly outside the house.
You’ll have your own room, with WiFi available, meals included although you’re expected to prepare food for yourself the majority of the time.
You’ll also have access to a bicycle and various musical instruments and art supplies.
I teach English as a second language and this homestay would be ideal for anyone looking to improve their English language skills.
Terms are flexible. Stays of 2-6 weeks considered.

HI, WE ARE NOW RE-OPENING OUR BUSINESS SO HI TO ANYONE OUT THERE LOOKING TO SPEND TIME IN THE SCOTTISH HIGHLANDS IN 2020. Had a great bunch of helpers this last year and now looking for 3/5 helpers for 2020 who can be individuals or friends, NON SMOKERS. INDIVIDUALS WILL HAVE TO SHARE ACCOMMODATION IN HIGH SEASON (APRIL-SEPT.). If you are hardworking, honest, with a great sense of humour looking to experience the Scottish Highlands and famous LOCH NESS AREA (HOME OF THE LOCH NESS MONSTER) then read on.
In return for 2/4 hours help each day from each helper. At the beginning and end of the season the hours are much less more like 2 a day over a 6 day period (most of the time helpers get 2 days off a week and again out of season usually 3) but this is subject to business demands and number of helpers around. I offer good accommodation and unlike many other hosts also provide all meals (even on days off) i.e. cont. breakfast, light lunch and evening meal (BBQ's weather permitting) etc... more inside

Taking helpers March - September 2020

We, Mike 70, John 81, Peter 63 and Porage (the cat) 12, have been here for five years. The house is an old English farmhouse with nice neighbours and buses to local towns, train direct to London. We go to the gym at least three times a week, and Mike and Peter like walking and running.
We need someone to help edit a book, REDESIGN THE GARDEN, cut the grass, prune trees, make a water feature, and dig, dig, dig. John is interested in interior decoration - stencilling and colour washing etc. Some of the gardening/construction is heavy work.

We are on the main line to London. The local gym has a good swimming pool. The walking scenery is excellent - Mike likes walking and running, and Peter goes swimming several times a week. We do not provide a computer for you to use, but we use WIFI all the time. The village library has computers for internet access free anyway.

You will have your own room. We don't have formal work schedules. We expect ... more inside

***VOLUNTEERS REQUIRED***

Hey everyone,

We are looking for volunteers for our fun, friendly backpackers hostel in the historic city centre of Oxford.

We understand that there is some uncertainty with travel dates during the Covid-19 restrictions but please get in touch and we will work out a time that we can host safely and that works for both us and you.

The role is varied and includes but not limited to, reception shifts, housekeeping, making beds, cleaning bathrooms and common areas, helping out on our little bar.

We are looking for people who like to work hard and are always up for a laugh as we all like to go out and have a bit of fun!

Please write us a message explaining why you are the person for the role, your previous experience and when you are available to begin.

Please only apply if you are over the age of 18 and available for at least 3 weeks. The longer the better though :)

**Help needed in the garden and house decorating**

“Our place exists to provide our family with a sustainable foundation, to ensure that the land and its special energy is handed down to future generations in a thriving state, whilst being a beacon of inspiration to others”

The reason we embarked on taking volunteers from Wwoof or HelpX is to enable people to come and learn the importance of regenerative organic food production and we try and do this whilst having a low impact lifestyle. This is important for a sustainable way forward for human beings to continue to inhabit this planet. We are evolving and exploring ways to achieve this.

We live quite comfortably* and eat well and in return we expect our volunteers to be keen to join in with the work and to be enthusiastic members of the team, as well as eager to learn more by joining us some evenings watching DVDs to learn more about and to discuss environmental issues. This way we can all share our knowledge, thoughts an... more inside

This is a large family croft on the island of North Uist predominantly comprising hill ground with some improved inbye grassland. We keep a flock of approximately 250 sheep and a small herd of cattle. We are looking for volunteers with a passion for outdoor work who can bring ideas and enthusiasm to a variety of projects which are ongoing or about to begin.

We are situated on the Island of North Uist within a chain of islands that make up the Outer Hebrides. We are in a quiet crofting landscape situated a few minutes from beautiful beaches and surrounded by heather hills. Volunteers will have plenty opportunity to explore these varied islands and would suit those interested in Kayaking, hill walking, fishing and cycling in particular.
