I will be needing help from the beginning of Septemebr 2018. I think this would be perfect for a couple or single person looking for a long stay in Glasgow. Main duties will be cleaning my holiday let apartments.
Feel free to contact me and let me know your skills or if you have any questions.

I am well travelled and have HelpX'd several times before. I am keen to share travel tales and meet fellow Helpers. Would be more than happy to give advice on things to do in Glasgow and Scotland.

Would be looking for Helpers to work a few hours a day for accomodation in one of my holiday let apartments which is located in a great area of Glasgow, close to the city centre.

Look forward to hearing from you : )

***NO AVAILABILTY FROM AUGUST UNTIL MID NOVEMBER 2018***

We are based about 25miles north of Aberdeen, Scotland near villages such as Inverurie, Oldmeldrum, Daviot and Meikle Wartle. We live in a converted steading/barn and have 15 acres of land with 2 horses, 3 ponies and 2 guinea pigs. We also have an 8year old son who just loves the outdoors. We are outside whenever we can be that in the fields, with the horses, or doing general chores.

We love to horse ride and hack, gardening, skiing, motorsport, travel through to reading and maps.

We can accommodate a sole person (possibly a couple) at a time in our spare room which has wifi and we would be interested in short to medium stays. There is always something to do and there are many places to visit in the area. We also have a cottage that we rent out, 70miles away near Aviemore, so it depends on the time of year, but both set ups need help.

As many people are attracted to staying because of the outdoors and the horse... more inside

At the end of the property there is a woodwork shop - garage, co existing with accommodation for 2 guests. Which we rent out for the summer months.

We are looking for an extra hand or two around our place. Helping with the day to day tasks, change overs in the guesthouse, tending the greenhouse and garden, child minding while we do it!, landscaping, splitting logs and stacking, building interesting structures! It's a broad range of work typically outside.

We moved onto the land in April 2017. It was uninhabited for many years, so needs lots of tlc to bring it back into productive use.

We are working towards an organic small holding with livestock, large garden, tree nursery and workshop. We are off grid with basic facilities - the help-xers will have their own caravan, use of compost toilet with bucket showers. We will have shared meals (mostly vegetarian). We run a small wood working business from the site and are happy to share our skills with help-exers where possible. Tasks will be varied and include help around the land everything from the garden, to building projects, to sorting and clearing land and the remaining debris.

We have two dogs, chickens and a small baby. Our land is about 14 miles from John O`Groats and is in a beautiful part of Scotland - excellent places to explore nearby and a good place to see this amazing part of the world!

We are a small, independant, family owned hotel in the north highlands of Scotland. My partner Angus and I run the place along with our 2 wee ginger kids and a friendly old retriever dog called Sonny. We are looking for someone to help us and our small team within the hotel. Tasks including housekeeping, laundry, helping in kitchen. We provide all meals and your own ensuite private room. We have a great wee bar with regular music sessions and have bikes and kayaks here for you to use, and are more than happy to tell you of some great places to visit on your days off. Its also really important to us that you like kids as they are very much part of your experience here. We have welcomed volunteers from all over the world and have become really good friends with them. Living in such a quiet area of Scotland we want our kids to meet and get to know people from all different cultures and places...and become part of our family. So if you are friendly, happy, hard working person who is hap... more inside

** we have recently started doing a B and B in addition to our usual business In the bothy that adjoins our house so help with change overs is great in addition to other bits and pieces. The changeover usually only takes a couple of hours and then just doing the laundry etc, this with walking our wee dogs is going to be a typical day. Itís a small bothy so easy to clean etc. Pretty easy going :)

(Also have a second hand yurt to build but a couple of bits need fixing first)

About our place
Leckmelm Farm is situated just south if Ullapool in the north west highlands. Itís possible to travel in a day trip from here to places like Applecross, The Isle of Skye, Cape wrath, Tounge,, Kintail (Eilean Donnan castle), the ferry to the Iisle of Lewis is from Ullapool and takes around 3 hours a crossing. Leckmelm is a good base to have. (Scott can usually take volunteers on a day trip if here for 2 weeks or more)

We want you to enjoy your time here, at the same time as us getting... more inside
