Hello! We are John and Valerie, and Sammy and Mojo our dogs. We're at pioneer stage here setting up our smallholding farm, home and nature spaces.

We are maintaining a half acre of blueberries and two polytunnels, growing veggies, improving off-grid power and water, and building a log cabin! If you are interested in green low-cost building then it is a good opportunity for you to come here to learn about wood cabin building.

We are gonna need loooots of help!.. Accommodation is a caravan or we can make you a very cosy nest in a large tent with lots of bedding - mattress, duvet/blankets, pillows etc. There's lots of wood for the campfire, a hangout space and shower in the polytunnel.

We're not far from the coast here about 8km to beaches and Rosscarbery, we've a small village nearby and we're about halfway between Clonakilty and Skibbereen towns.

We've lots going on here but are easy-going too! We're surrounded by the beautiful West Cork countryside, with hills to w... more inside

I have set up a small oyster farm in Northern Ireland, UK in 2015.
When I took over the farm it was abandoned and I started all from scratch. At the moment I am the only one working the oysters, I have been busy developing the production up to 10 tones for the year 2019 and hopefully 40 tones by 2021 which is a small - medium size business.

Oysters are cultivated on the intertidal area of the shores of lough Larne, I love working outside with nature. Work can be hard and physical and I am just looking for help and sharing experiences at the site.

Work hours are variable and there is not one day the same. Oyster farming is organic, there is not added fertiliser or feed because these animals are filter feeder, meaning they eat micro algae, a natural food source coming with the tides.

I specially like being out there within the nature and wildlife, it is common to see seals and many birds around the farming structure and the surrounding. Access is 10 minutes by boat or fro... more inside

We are a farm in the rural countryside in the West of Ireland.

We are now about to start lambing and would like help at this time, we also have calves that need milk twice a day.
We have a wide range of animals all of which we would like help with the care of them. We have 2 ponies that can be ridden by volunteers if they wish.

We have many types of poultry which we breed and sell at local fairs and agricultural shows. We are now starting to hatch baby chicks and ducks.

We are looking for help from now and through the summer.

There is also gardening, and maintenance works needed doing.

We are looking for people that can help with the above and can use their own initiative at times and can work in a team with us.

Help needed, I need help with my garden and in return will offer bed and board. Work could include helping me thin out trees, chopping wood, cutting grass, clearing undergrowth and various tasks 5 hrs a day, the work is quite manual. The accommodation is in our home and you would have a double bedroom with your own bathroom, wifi internet, and good food. You could also borrow bikes and come fishing with me in the summer months.
The closest shop and pub is about 1.5 miles away and the Aran ferry about 3 miles.
Our property is in a wonderful location with mountain views close to the coast about 45 mins from Galway city.
I am asking for helpers due to my garden being too big for me to manage on my own. Last winter had lots of trees knocked over in storms and I have cleared most of them. Am making rustic garden furniture and chainsaw carvings out of some of the logs and the rest is being chopped for firewood.
Any helpers must love dogs as we have three and they are part of the f... more inside
