We are a large British family living in a breathtaking spot in the mountains of Spain with views out over the Mediterranean towards Ibiza (we are situated midway between Valencia and Alicante). We live in a wooden solar and wind-powered house.

Phil and Jo (a teacher and musician) are in their early 50s and have 5 children between the ages of 12 and 22 (the oldest three now live or study in England). We speak English at home, but all of us speak good Spanish and the 'parents' speak French, German and Russian as well.

We have an organic smallholding (horses, goats, donkey, chickens, rabbits, fruit trees and vegetables).

We are looking for individuals or couples to stay for free in return for help around the house, with the animals and vegetable garden. There will also be some building and gardening projects. We expect 5 hours honest work a day in return for full board and accommodation, but are flexible as to how and when that work is done.

The accommodation is in a ca... more inside

***It's time for the almond harvest***

We are Sanne and Marc, a couple from the Netherlands.
We are living with our 2,5 year old boy and two cats in a cortijo close to Torvizcón, in Andalucia, Spain.
The land around the cortijo has 500 almond trees and 200 olive trees. We have a tiny try at a vegetable garden, using grey water. We're living off grid and Marcs challenge right now is to build a solar system to charge our recently bought electric car. Then there is the project of building a yurt, that we want to restart. We have walls and doorframes and the next step is to steam the roofpoles.

We need 1-2 people to help us. You're welcome to come for any amount of time! We expect you to work 4-5 hours a day.

We're looking for people who can take care of themselves: we can't entertain you every evening or have three meals a day waiting for you. We have our family life and although we love socializing, we also have lots to do and need private time. Therefore we count on you t... more inside

Hi, we are Dutch farmers in Spain, in Extramadura and Salamanca.

We live from June until December in El Payo, Salamanca, where there is the stable and a lot of terrain to herd the goats. It is a quiet village surrounded by a beautiful forest, where we can herd the goats in the way we want: quiet and a lot of food.
In December we trashumancia to Las Cabreras in Sierra de Gata, Extremadura.

We built a cheese-dairy in El Payo and we started to produce cheese in May. Small-scale and all organic!

Now we have 145 adult goats and 60 babies. We milk by hand and herd the goats whole day, with our sheepdog and a guard dog.

In August you will be able to have an experience of taking care of and herding 200 goats, instruct the sheepdog, milk by hand and make cheese. So, the whole process until a very tasteful cheese!

From September until December we don´t milk and do not make cheese of course. Than the main job is herding the goats.
In October is the ´baby-boom, a lot of ... more inside

I have the perfect job!!! I run a youth hostel in the Camino de Santiago ( Saint James Way) in the north west of Spain, a paradise in Spain. We receive pilgrims from all over the world ..... It's located in the mountains of a small village. The house is quite big It has tree floors and we live on the third. The second and the first are for pilgrims.
we are flexible, tolerant and easy going. we like people so we have a pleasant and social life. we don't understand life without nature and animals.
The area where we live is very rural and peaceful There is just a couple of bars and restaurants. You will have to interact with pilgrims if you don't speak Spanish. You will see and learn the real Spanish culture. In one simple day you could meet so many people that will blow your mind!!
volunteer tasks are very flexible and dynamic. For exemple, cleaning, checking tourist in, gardening, cooking....
you will share the room with the other volunteer ( the room is for 2 people)
