We offer our On Site Service program to courageous individuals who want to fully immerse themselves in a community founded on principles of compassion and self development. The program is intense, challenging and therefore also hugely rewarding. With daily meditation practice, a full schedule of karma yoga (mindful work), classes and community meetings, together we meet our edges, see our patterns and grow together.

We welcome all applications including those from people who have little or no experience with meditation, and are looking to explore spirituality – or however you’d like to name your call to exploration in this lifetime – in community.

We are looking for people to come and help with construction, fire wood, the garden (organic with permaculture influences and innovations), fruit picking, conserving and various projects.

We are a family of 2, Laure with a loquacious 12 year old boy, Daniel, a medium dog (Koa) who is recovering from a car accident, 2 cats and chickens.

Our family has experienced a great challenge as my husband David, Daniel's beloved dad, was diagnosed with a deadly brain tumor in March 2014 and died in December.
Everything is behind. We do need lots of help. It's hard to catch up.
The infusion of the right people in our scene could allow us to bring things back to normal a lot faster.

David was from here and I am from France. Our love of nature led us to settle on a beautiful piece of land and develop 2 organic gardens with the help of a live-in, french Quebecois gardener, Michel. I have a horticulture background and David had a degree in Natural Resources.

In exchange for a food and... more inside

Family of 4 (2 adults, 2 teens) living in a community/co-housing of 11 families tucked into the base of the mountain a few minutes from Kootenay Lake. The Middle Road Community includes vegetable gardens, orchards, chickens, horses, common house with small gym, snooker table etc....all on 50 acres. We eat with the community once a week.

Our home is on 3 acres within the Middle Road Community and is just outside of beautiful Nelson BC. View of/close to the lake and beaches. Great hikes and mountain biking in area. Fantastic place for someone who loves the outdoors.

We specifically would like home-help with a health protocol being followed by me (Natasha) at the moment. It entails lots of juicing, food prep etc. and general help around the house and land, including working in the organic vegetable gardens. Help for four to five hours throughout the day is needed. the rest of the time enjoy exploring the area - enjoy the outdoors, the beaches, or the vibrant arts town of Nelson.... more inside

We bought a nice piece of bare land 2 months ago in Creston, BC. The view from our land is fabulous and we've got a lot of ideas about how to turn this land into a beautiful sustainable oasis. But we need manual help!

So far, we've achieved a lot just by ourselves, but there's still a lot of work to do on the land right now before the change of the seasons. From clearing pathways, to creating steps to go up and down the land (it's on a slope!), from building little cabins to doing the finishing touches on the two buildings we have already built, from moving rocks to cutting wood. The list is endless and we thought it would be lovely to have some spare hands to help us.

We need someone with all sorts of skills! Or someone without specific skills yet who is just happy to work hard and to learn a lot as we go. That's what we're doing ourselves right now!

Accommodation and living conditions are basic here at the moment. We're living in a motor home, so you would be staying i... more inside

We are in the later stages of building a straw bale house with earth plaster and trying to encompass many aspects of sustainability while accomplishing this. We would be looking for volunteers that would like to help and learn about the finishing process in exchange for basic accommodation (caravan) and home-cooked meals.

We hope to increase the amount of home-produced food in the future so we may ask for help in the garden and on the rest of the property. We have had bees, chickens, pigs and sheep in the past producing our own honey, eggs and meat. We currently have our own goats for milk and have added some ducks for eggs. The garden produce is limited just now as the ground squirrel population has exploded this year.

Our house is heated solely by wood so we may ask for help with firewood collecting, land clearing and other general acreage/hobby farm tasks.

The hours of work would be around 6 hours a day for 4 days a week but we are flexible. Great l... more inside

Our family of 4 lives on the side Willowbank Mountain in the Bleaberry valley near Golden in beautiful British Columbia!

We are on an off grid adventure. For the last 3 years we have loved living in our hand built yurt. In the summer of 2016 we started tackling the building of an Earthship to be our forever home.

We are focused on finding joy and purpose in life. We love sharing experiences with people and love the idea of doing things as a community!

This summer as we continue to build our Earthship we are looking to have many hands around to help with:
-Cob work
-Building
-Electrical
-Plumbing
-Small garden
-Cooking
-Child care/teaching
-Permaculture
-....

Generally we need help with putting up the building and daily life. We are more than happy to have families join ours as well.

In the summer we can offer a very basic camping situation.
Tent sites with outside toilets and showers.

I'm the winter you can stay in the yurt (800sq/ft) with us or in our g... more inside

Hello all! We are building an Earthship in Parson BC and have tons of fun activities and learning experiences for travellers. We love to travel ourselves and enjoy meeting people from around the world, but since we started this project travelling has been put on hold so we thought why not have travellers and backpackers come stay at our property. No experience in building is necessary there are many small jobs that we don't have time for but are necessary in keeping things organized. We are off grid and completely sustained on solar power. We have many cool side projects including a campground, solar shower, sauna, treehouse and bike trails. We also enjoy to climb, bike, fish and have beers at the end of the day.
