I would like to take this opportunity to introduce you to our adventure farm and its team. We are a 3700 acre working farm nestled in the foothills of the World Heritage Site, the Southern Drakensberg. With 300 sheep, 100 horses, 3 dogs, 2 cats and of course our friendly 2 legged team. On the farm and in vicinity we offer a wide variety of thrilling activities.

We are looking for fun-loving, energetic volunteers to come and run the backpackers as well as the self-catering units. We will provide free board and lodging. You will have ample opportunity to ride into Lesotho on our Basotho ponies and experience life in the mountains.

We are an outdoor and environmental education provider situated in the central Drakensberg mountains of KwaZulu Natal, South Africa. We host groups of youth from around southern Africa for 2 - 5 day environmental learning and adventure-based programmes. Position 1: Front of House staff. We need an enthusiastic, self motivated, flexible person to work flexi time (when there are guests we work very hard and long hours). Duties range from - Housekeeping (lots of cleaning, this never stops), front desk/reception, checking in/out guests, bar and general running of Lodge. SERVICE IS OUR NUMBER 1 PRIORITY.

Our suburban property is turning into a productive, sustainable space applying permaculture, organic and recycling principles to show that it can be done in a suburban environment. We try to involve our community and grow food on the sidewalk. We currently grow over 100 herbs, veggies, fruit etc. and there are worms and some ex-battery hens. We've also converted our huge pool into a greenhouse. We need help with day to day garden chores and with structural projects like rain water collection, irrigation, aquaponics and building a composting toilet. There are many ideas we want to implement and we learn as we go! We are members of our local Talent Exchange and run a craft studio. We are CouchSurfing hosts so there are regularly international visitors too. We are a vegetarian household, we juice and eat raw during the day and supplement meals from the garden.
