We are a small, private, alternative school option for children in our area. We run a theme-based, holistic and needs based program. We use English as our main medium of instruction. Our children currently range from 3 to 15 years old.
We are situated on an Eco-farm in Bang Phra, Chonburi, Thailand.

We are looking for people who are flexible and can take objectives and create a fun and interesting lesson for small groups of children. We also factor in a volunteer's interests and past experience as to what objectives we give them.

The Eco-farm is able to provide a multi-cultural environment with rustic shared accommodation and shared bathroom facilities. The farm is in a small town with a night market and a quiet atmosphere.

We have a cook who provides the food for the community. If you require further food you can purchased it at the local market which is within walking distance.

This animal sanctuary was started in 2006 by Gemma from the UK. She was horrified by the number of street dogs and cats there were in the area and the terrible conditions they were in.

Now 13 years later, we are happy to say that things have improved though we still have a long way to go. At the moment we have around 35 resident dogs who we care for and are looking to re-home. We provide medical treatment to all animals in the area as the nearest vet is a 4 hour drive away and most people do not have the funds for treatment there anyway. We conduct regular sterilization programmes to help reduce the number of street dogs and cats in the area.

We are looking for general volunteers to help us with the day to day running of the sanctuary and to care for the dogs. This could be through dog walking and socialising or cleaning enclosures and building new dog huts. We regularly undertake new projects and love to get new ideas for improvements from all who pass through

Our farm is situated in a peaceful valley near Samoeng, 75km north-west of the Chiang Mai city, welcomes you to stay with us to learn about a simple way of life, organic farming, vegetarian cooking, meditation and Buddhism. The farm is run by a former Thai monk, Chinnaworn, and his Japanese partner, Noriko.
The farm is not only a place where vegetables and fruit grow to nourish the body, but also where seeds of mindfulness are planted and tended to for the heart and spirit. Being in a peaceful environment, free from distractions we can see what parts of our mind may need to be ‘weeded’, and which seeds need to be watered so that they can grow into peaceful flowers for us and all we meet to enjoy. In the farm, meditation and mindfulness can be put into every day practice.

Mindfulness is a word used in connection with Buddhism and meditation. It means to be in the present moment. It is being really aware of what we are doing while we are doing it. As a method for cultivating mind... more inside

Participants will exchange ideas while studying the Thai cultures, lifestyles, traditions, staying and involving themselves with the daily life of villagers.

Individuals are needed to assist the local community through teaching mostly English, which is a skill in high demand in the rural areas of Thailand.

These areas usually do not have the funding to pay for fully qualified English teachers. Knowing a second language such as English gives locals here many opportunities.

Vocational training and other forms of education are much needed in Thailand, especially for unprivileged youngsters in rural areas.

We mainly focus our attention on primary and secondary school students as well as villagers and adults who would like to learn English.

Education empowers, motivates and gives confidence to people to discover what the world has to offer. We encourage fun and informal teaching activities and are currently working on our own outdoor learning facility.

It is import... more inside
