Exchange accommodation for assisting disabled woman in Summertown, Oxford, England.

2016. Six months minimum, following successful trial period of four weeks.

Help for woman with multiple sclerosis living in Oxford. I am looking for people with health/social care training (eg. Physiotherapists, nursing, occupational therapists) who will work for me for up to 20hrs/week which can be arranged to fit in with any other plans you have.

Because the help needed is sometimes of a personal nature, I prefer women to assist me. I am looking for team-minded individuals to live and work with me and in my local community for a minimum of six months.

I am involved in a range of projects. I am very interested in eco-living and generally trying to cut down on using up non-renewable resources. If you have not come across the idea of permaculture before you might be interested to look at the following general introduction:

Accommodation will be in part of the cellar. There is a separate shower room and kitchen area there.

I am particularly keen to host anyone with carpentry skills as I am half way through a project an need someone who can help. Help with my allotment would also be an advantage.

The garden is situated in the picturesque village of Gissing on the Norfolk and Suffolk border approximately 20 miles south of the city of Norwich and 5 miles north of the market town of Diss. There are good rail and bus links to Norwich and London. Gabriel’s Garden is a small (approximately 2/3 acre) but quite literally ‘growing’ business, we specialize in growing a wide variety of flowers and foliage's renowned for their seasonality, fragrance and simple beauty to use in our onsite floristry studio.

We are looking for helpers to stay and help with a variety of jobs from February to November to help keep the garden growing: weeding and ground work, sowing, planting and at certain times harvesting. As a guide we aim for 5 hours work per day, 5 days a week. The aim and ethos of the business is to be as sustainable as possible, we don’t use chemical sprays as we want to encourage a natural biodiversity within the garden, which means the majority of the work is done by hand.

We are a home schooling family looking for help around the house with preparing meals and housework in exchange for accommodation. In addition we would also be very interested in someone who can build web pages and professional Facebook pages.

We are not able to provide meals at this time because we are on the GAPS diet, therefore we are asking for approx.2-3 hours work per day per person.

We are looking for an independent person or a couple or two friends to stay and we are providing a double bedroom.

We are lucky that our house is near Richmond park, and Kingston town centre which has access to a comprehensive shopping centre, we are a 40 minute commute by excellent public transport links to London's centre.

Strictly no smoking and references essential please.

PLEASE NOTE that we are a British couple that returned back to the UK from Australia in early 2016, so therefore our reviews previous to 2016 are for our place in Australia.

Thanks for reading.

This is a magical place on the north coast of Orkney's West Mainland. We have rare woodland for a place so far north, rare sea birds, and otters in the river...
In the summer months we run this big old house as a Bed and Breakfast, it is very popular, we have guests from all over the world staying here and visiting the ancient stone circles and unique stone age sites on the Islands. We also host groups connecting with the mystical energy here. We sometimes host weddings. We had a wondeful season of helpers in 2016 and 2017. Thank you to everyone who applied! We welcome HelpX travellers willing to help out with the day to day running of the place and the maintenance of the grounds here. Thank you for your interest. We are generally open from April to October if you would like to apply for 2018.

Our hostel is on a working sheep farm in the Southern Scottish Highlands - quite remote but only 2 hours bus ride from Edinburgh and Glasgow. We are next to a loch -own ferry boat- and surrounded by mountains. The Hostel sleeps 12 people and there are also four quaint wooden huts ie there can be up to a maximum of 30 beds to be made each day. Very busy in July and August when there will be a team of 6 volunteers. Volunteer accomodation is in two caravans - the largest adjacent to the Hostel. Prefer applicants with skills/some experience - either in house-keeping, maintenance or outdoor work. Also ideal for language students who need a certificate of work abroad for their course qualifications. Erasmus Work grant possible if university support.
