Our home an old, 19c red brick farmhouse near miles of coastal nature reserves. The area is popular with tourists who come to see the seals at Donna Nook in November & December. Great area for photography, walking, etc - beautiful coastline and countryside - VERY rural, farmland surrounds us.

Cloddygate Farm is NOT a working farm. We have a large organic garden with flower borders, veggie patch, herb garden, fruit trees and greenhouse.

We keep a few hens for the fantastic eggs and the 'girls' are great fun too!

We usually like short term helpers(2 - 4 weeks) working in the gardens, weeding, planting etc., sometimes helping around the house, cutting wood, cooking, preserving but it's difficult to know as we do projects as money allows but we'll try to make your stay as varied as possible.

We would also like help internal decorating/painting this year.

Expect to work 5 hours a day, 5 days a week. In addition keeping your own room and your bathroom clean and tidy and ch... more inside

After a long winter break we are now ready to welcome new people, and are happy to hear from anyone who would like to stay with us and help for a bit from January 2018 onwards.

We live in the small city of Hereford and my partner Richard lives nearby. I have three grown-up children (two are travelling at the moment, and my son lives in the area). We have got a cat and a kitten, and Richard has got a dog. We are friendly, open-minded and outgoing and enjoy meeting new people.

I have a small garden, and live 10 minutes walk from the centre of Hereford with its beautiful cathedral, but also very close to open countryside. There are some small towns nearby to explore, lots of quiet lanes for running or cycling and a river for lovely walks.

There are always a variety of jobs to be done, both in the garden and in the house, such as planting, building raised beds, painting garden furniture, repairing bikes, or helping with jobs around the house such as cooking, woodwork, clean... more inside

You will be helping children and adults, unleash their creativity and get to grips with recycling and upcycling. No specific skills necessary, simply a positive approach, limitless enthusiasm and a knack for making work fun and imaginative. We are a traditional cider farm in Cornwall, uk. We grow all our apple apples and make cider and apple juice. We have a shop on the farm where we sell our cider and local cheeses. We also host live music events and orchard tours. I'm currently looking for help with the cider making, orchards and garden. We are looking for motivated helpers, who don't mind helping keeping the kitchen clean. I provide all food but leave most of the cooking of it to the helpers. It's a very social farm, the local cider club meet every Thursday evening for food and cider! We are a 20 minute drive to the North Cornwall cost. The village of St Mabyn is a 12 minute walk from the farm and has a shop and a good pub!

We moved to the southern slopes of Dartmoor NP in South Devon 20 years ago and have enjoyed our experiences developing 6 self catering holiday cottages whilst learning about keeping goats, chickens, ducks and trying to create our own 'edible' organic garden. We walk and cycle most weekends and go out with the local 'hash house harriers' mid week.
As we move into the Summer the work increases and anyone ( Non Smokers ) with a knowledge of gardening, holiday cottage cleaning and decorating would be welcome to spend some time at Blackadon. In exchange for 4 hours work per day we will offer accommodation and home cooked food. We have a busy lifestyle and our helpers have to be flexible, fit, understanding and enthusiastic. We suggest a two week trial period - most helpers have stayed for much longer and have enjoyed their experiences. Possibility of extra paid work. Looking for a couple from April 2018 to ideally stay over the Spring and Summer.
