This is a smallholding with highland cows, shetland sheep, poultry, a vegetable garden, some new woodland, a small orchard, a sawmill and we are renovating old farm buildings to set up some self-catering accommodation. We are also developing some workshop spaces for woodwork and crafts. There is loads of work to do in any of the above areas. We produce lamb and beef and eat our own food as far as we can. We can provide vegetarian food if preferred and we appreciate helpers doing some cooking. Accommodation is provided in the farmhouse. There are two dogs also living in the house. We are two miles from the village of Saline which has one shop, eight miles from Dunfermline and there are public transport services to Edinburgh and Glasgow.

Availability from June. We live on a small-holding of 38 acres in Scotland just on the edge of a small town in Perthshire. We have one self-catering holiday cottage and run the occasional retreat (scrapbooking or therapy). We have two cats and two rescue ponies. We are looking for help to tidy up the garden, do general maintenance/painting, strimming and some help with the animals. I prefer volunteers over the age of 25 due to the nature of the work and a good command of English is helpful.

We run an educational food growing site and host many events from mummy and baby groups to adult festivals. We have a small food growing site and small woodland area. We need help building and increasing the food growing site, and clearing the woodland. If you come and stay with us some of your work will be doing some house work from cooking to cleaning to painting to serving food and more.

You would also be welcome to participate in any of our many events.
We will also be getting in farm animals that we would need help taking care of.

The land is attached to a large children's outdoor recreational residential house where school and youth groups come to stay.
You may need to be DBS checked to stay here if you plan on long term wwoofing.

We have a review after 7 days with all wwoofers to make sure everyone is happy but we do accept wwoofers for longer than 8 weeks if experienced.

For May 2018. I would welcome a practical couple or 2 people to stay for up to a month and help me get ready for B and B, and some simple building and landscaping projects in the garden, such as rebuilding raised beds.

Useful skills would be simple carpentry, decorating, gardening, sewing, cleaning. I have noticed that a practical approach combined with attention to detail and positivity are as valuable as skills or experience.

My home is an old mill in a large village in mid Wales. It's a quiet house and garden on the riverside and its about 5 miles from the sea. There are train stations at the nearest towns Aberystwyth, and Machynlleth and buses to the village. This is a beautiful area with many walks and the Wales Coastal Path passes 2 miles from the house. Talybont is a friendly lively place, with 2 pubs, shops, hairdresser. We have pub quizes and sometimes live music.

The two nearest towns are Aberystwyth (University and Arts Centre)and Machynlleth, (regular festiva... more inside

Hi, I'm a self employed single mum with two lovely children (ages 9 & 7) who are educated at home. We have a fairly laidback and alternative lifestyle though I never have enough time to get everything done. I've recently set up my massage therapy business, which is stretching my time even more.

I'm looking for a non-smoking, energetic and enthusiastic helper who is happy to do whatever is needed around the house & garden for 4-5 hours a day. This could be anything, but is most likely to be doing the housework for me (cooking our evening meal, cleaning, laundry, etc) and hanging out with my kids. You'll need to be competent, flexible, happy to work on your own and enjoy the company of children!

In return you'll have accommodation in your own room and three meals a day. We eat a mixture of organic & non organic foods, some homemade and some shop-bought. We go on daytrips most weeks to explore the local area, which you'd be welcome to join us on. We have wifi you can use an... more inside
