We are looking for volunteers (1 at a time) from mid-April until the end of September.

We are a small productive organic market garden just 200 yards from the beautiful River Wye, run by two young growers, plus a seasonal trainee. We work full-time in the garden producing a wide range of veg that we sell to local shops, restaurants and online retail customers. We focus mostly on salad and other high-value crops (tomatoes, cucumbers, spinach, peas, spring onions, herbs etc.)

Volunteering here is quite physical but is very varied, and is a great opportunity for someone who is seriously interested in learning about market-garden-scale growing. In return for your help with sowing, weeding, harvesting etc. we will be happy to share with you everything we know about growing veg. We ask volunteers to work 9-3 and will provide all food.

We live next to the market garden. Helpxers can camp in the garden by our house and use our kitchen/facilities. It is a sociable house and we like ... more inside

Hi, we are looking for some help with our gardens/land. We have about an acre which has some over grown patches, trees and bushes which need cutting back, trees to plant and general clearing up. A few bonfires, weeding etc - no major skills needed but enthusiasm for being outside and getting on with it is a must!
We are situated in Cornwall, about 5 miles from the sea in the countryside. We have 2 kuni kuni pigs and dog who loves walks on the beach.

We don't have any space in the house - we have a small child and another on the way. However, there is a static caravan in the garden which will give basic accommodation - it's not glamorous as it's also on the to do list in terms of projects - 2 x bedroom, kitchen, tv, shower, loo etc (we can probably stretch the wifi down there too!) and there is plenty of room for a tent in you prefer that. We are looking for a couple of travellers, or one very self sufficient person to spend a couple of days a week doing some work on the garden,... more inside

Thanks for finding one of the most unusual opportunities on Help-X! I'm a 30 year old male living on the Suffolk coast in England and welcome travellers who want to discover East Anglia and it's culture.

WHERE:
I live in a small village in 'an area of outstanding natural beauty (AONB)' which is just a short walk to the sea. Nearby is Rendlesham Forest, the market town of Woodbridge, Sutton Heath and the famous Anglo Saxon ship burial site Sutton Hoo. A little further is Ipswich and the fishing towns of Aldeburgh and Southwold. London can be accessed via train from Ipswich (1.5 Hours).

WHY:
I am willing to host travellers and introduce you to the county of Suffolk as i am a former traveller myself and take great pleasure in meeting people from different countries.

WHAT:
I love learning new things, so in exchange for accommodation and food you can give me language lessons of your native language and teach me a 'mystery' skill (it can be anything you suggest (juggling, k... more inside

I have a three bedroom house in a beautiful English small town in the middle of stunning countryside. There is a train station 5 minutes walk from my house which goes to London Waterloo in under two hours. I am 15 minutes by train from Salisbury and 40 minutes drive from Bath and from Stonehenge. In the village there is an open door pool, a gyms, several shops and pubs, churches and a small supermarket.
I have a 8 year old daughter and a 7 year old boy, perfectly bilingual (Italian and English) and I need help with them three afternoons per week and the odd Sunday or evening when I work. Help with house chores would be essential, but in a sharing, collaborative way. We are looking for a fun, loving person, who likes being with children and playing with them. We would like a non-smoking girl-helper and with no animals, and we would be delighted to share our food with our guest. We are really looking forward to host someone who can be part of the family - we also have two cats!

Hello from the Isle of Wight! This is Jonny and Laura. We live with our Welsh collie dog Branwen in West Cowes. We have done a lot of travelling through helpx ourselves, working on some different projects in Australia and in Europe.

We bought a second house at auction and it has turned out to be a big project! The project is getting closer to its completion so we are looking for help getting it finished and helping to decorate the place.

We ask for 4/5hours of work per day for 5 days of the week and two days off.
What is different about this project is that we are looking for people to live in our second house. The house is still unfinished but it is nearing completion, just one bedroom left to go!
Obviously you will be living independently so you must be happy to work/cook/explore on your own. We will provide all the food you need to prepare 3 meals a day in the well equipped kitchen. There is 1 other person who lives in the house, he is nice but is rarely there.

We have a detached house and 8 acres of agricultural land in a village with good facilities and 5 miles from the city of Derby in the middle of England, close to the Peak District.
We are looking for people to help with weekend retreats/camps that we are holding on the land (in yurts and tipi's) during the period June/July.

We need:

1-2 people to do vegetarian cooking for groups of approx 12-20 people (with assistance), (some experience of cooking for small groups would of course be useful!)

and

1-2 people for other practical tasks such as looking after yurts & tipis, shower facilities, keeping firewood pile stocked for wood burning stoves, grass cutting, etc

We are looking for people who preferably have experience of working/living on the land and with good practical skills.

Your help is needed in exchange for a place to stay (on the land or in our house) plus food and interesting conversation!

Hi Paul here, I'm looking for a helper from March onwards.
I run a small Glamping site on our farm in Oxfordshire, we usually cater for around 15 guests each weekend and sometimes some in the week too. Glamping accommodation comprises of, a gypsy wagon, shepherds hut, horse lorry, caravan and bell tents, our guests also have use of a party barn.
Helpers jobs will be very varied and may include: helping build and repair Eco-buildings, painting, cleaning washing and ironing on changeover, planting flowers and watering, BBQing, cooking and general handy work. No experience is required and it's a wonderful life and we have great fun.
Changeovers are the busiest time of the week, Sunday's and Thursday's, the rest of the time it's just as and when there are things to do, but if I say perhaps 6 or 7 hours a days that will more than cover it.
In return for your help, you will get your own bed, own room in the farmhouse, all meals will be provided and you are welcome to join in the our h... more inside
