Now looking for someone for a few weeks from late November.

We are Anna, Angelo and Lucy. We live in a large Edwardian house in a leafy suburb of Manchester with a good sized garden where we grow fruit and veg. We both work in horticulture and have a very busy couple of weeks coming up before Christmas, so we'd welcome some help picking up Lucy from school . We have already hosted several wonderful helpxers over the last 3 years. You need to be warm, outgoing, considerate, and to like kids. If you can cook, or drive in the UK, that would be a bonus. You need good enough English to communicate well with 9 year old Lucy. We ask for 5 hours per week day of help with childcare, housework, gardening and DIY. In return we would offer you your own room and bathroom, Internet access and family meals. Non smokers and female helpers only please. We both speak several languages so would be happy to help improve your English if required. On days off you would be within easy reach of... more inside

We (Pete and Sophia) moved to the Welsh Borders in February 2017. Having spent a couple of years travelling in our campervan, HelpXing and living in the Alps. It felt like the time to put down some roots & begin a new adventure. We are both 33 & have a young energetic German Shorthaired Pointer, called Juno. We are looking for liberal-minded people with a 'can do' disposition to help alongside us and share wine/beer by a fire some evenings. We see this as a great opportunity to meet new people & we loved our time HelpX-ing. We want you (anyone volunteering with us) to have a great time & we'll do all we can to make sure you're happy and have things to do that you enjoy.

This place, our new home, consists of 10 acres of woods; a crazily overgrown garden; a pond; a timber frame house (which we are living in and renovating); plus a little woodland cabin (featured in the pictures below).

We are looking for volunteers to help us get to grips with the woodland and garden from Septe... more inside

BOOKING ONE-WEEK SLOTS THIS WINTER

We need willing Helpxers with strong arms to finish putting the garden to bed this year. Sweeping leaves, splitting logs, tidying flowerbeds, sharpening tools, cleaning the greenhouse.

We live in a 300-year old cottage on a Cotswold farm in an isolated spot in the middle of the beautiful Gloucestershire countryside.

There is a very large garden that has an organic vegetable patch with raised beds; an orchard of apples, pears, cherries and plums; a woodland garden, a flower garden, a pond and a wildflower corner. You can see them in the photos.

We recently acquired four chickens, traditional breeds from the Cotswolds. They have just started laying eggs and are absolutely delightful.

I split my time between running a business from home and trying to keep up with the demands of the garden. So help is always welcome.

I can offer helpers accommodation and wonderful fresh home-grown food in exchange for six hours’ work Monday to Fr... more inside

One helper needed ASAP to weed/prune the garden round the house. Ideal for a short term helper for 2 or 3 days.

Vegetarian/Vegan meals are provided, and a single room in return for 5 hours help each day.

I live in the countryside near a farm. It's several miles from the Lake District national park. The house has views over Morecambe Bay. Fell Foot at Lake Windermere is about 11 miles away, and Bowness-on-Windermere is about 40 minutes away by bus.

Gardening tasks are mostly pulling weeds, trimming back bushes/hedges and clearing some overgrown areas. If it's raining heavily, indoor tasks such as cleaning or painting.

When contacting please provide dates. Will reply if dates are convenient. Many Thanks

I am looking for a mature female with a fun loving personality with loads of enthusiasm, humour, initiative and pro-active attitude to help me with house keeping and looking after my two energetic noisy but beautiful young boys. We live in the middle of the Highlands of Scotland so love getting outside to run off energy. I have a very large garden with loads of organic gardening potential which requires attention and getting up and running as well. The soils are excellent and there is a big greenhouse.

Barra is a great community and you will be made to feel most welcome. You will be staying in the house.

Barra is a wonderful place to live with great beaches, sea kayaking, surfing, walking, kiting and a host of wildlife. Great for photographers and painters. There is plenty to do on the island throughout the year. I love swimming in the sea so if you would like to join in then bring a wetsuit or not if you are brave!!!.

Permaculture smallholding rotating micro pigs through mixed woodland and pasture for habitat creation. We host bushcraft, wildlife photography, camping, festivals, weddings. Volunteer tasks will be involved in some of these activities as well as farm work.

Living on our farm off grid with no electricity and heating your own water and doing farm work is not for everyone. Phone signal is bad and there is no internet! This is proper off grid farm life.

You will be eating our farm pork or foraged greens as well as supermarket staples. It is hard work just living. You will be expected to strim nettles for about an hour. Collect firewood. Cook food. Weed the veg beds. Manual labour. Or if you have a particular talent guiding and looking after 2-6 year olds then that would be a help also. We want keen people that can take direction. You will be on your own on the farm alone for 2 or 3 days of the week. If you are unable to work independently on the farm then you could do some work on... more inside
