We have a beautiful little home, a surfing shack, 100 metres from a quiet, pristine white sandy beach. Only one or two people live here at a time but friends and relatives visit most weekends, so we have nice little gatherings you can join and meet Australians.

Its a friendly, relaxed vibe - a small slice of paradise on the Sunshine Coast. Were close to public transport, shops, cafes, Mt Coolum and the mouth of the Maroochy River.

You would have your own room, the master bedroom of the house, which opens on to an undercover patio. You will look after your own food but you are very welcome to share the full equipped kitchen as well as the lounge, patio, lawn, internet etc. We have surfboards, paddle boards and snorkelling gear you can use in your spare time. We also have a small garden that could use some love.

We are looking for a couple to work 3 hours per day but we are very flexible with when you want to work (for example, you could work double on one day and have th... more inside

Hi we would like to invite you to stay with us on our cattle property in return for some help.

Our property name, "Karingal", is traditional indigenous language for HAPPY HOME. Ours is a quiet peaceful place overlooking green hills, bottle trees and a variety of wildlife such as kangaroos, wallabies (every morning by your back door), plains turkeys, emus, cockatoos and lots of other birds. At night you will be dazzled by millions of sparkly stars and it is nothing to count 5 or 6 shooting stars. We like to sit on the deck with a cold drink and stare at the stars or stoke up the fire for a camp oven roast - you will of course be the guest of honour. On the property we have a number of dams to swim in and fantastic places to hike/bush walk.

We are located 5.5 hours North West of Brisbane in a small place my friends call mongrel billy. I can send you a postcard I produced that contains a map and clear directions on how to get here.

Duties could be:

We have been here since Sept 2011.We are aiming to be as self sufficient as possible. We are establishing orchards and vegetable gardens and wish to restore the land to the way it should be in an organic permaculture kind of way.We have hybrid solar power and water tanks. We are a couple one vegan, one vegetarian and the food available reflects that. There is a lot of interesting wildlife here and our 'mob' of wallabies is quite tame. We are keen on bird watching and have created bird friendly gardens with a big variety of birds around. This is a lovely very quiet peaceful place - everyone who comes here loves it! We are 25km from the small town of Wondai northwest of Kingaroy, in the South Burnett, a couple of hours from the coast. We need help watering, weeding, mowing, planting and general maintenance, building and painting skills also very welcome. Accommodation is in a queen room in the house. The house is roomy. We have internet and wifi here and reasonable mobile coverage, be... more inside

Our family own and operate an organic beef cattle property with about 2500 head of cattle. The cattle are our main business and we also have free range pigs, chickens and sheep to feed our family.

We love to grow fruit and vegetables and believe in working with nature and caring for the earth.

Just under 1 hour drive from Monto, our property is nestled behind the Coominglah Range - not far from Cania Gorge National Park. We have hosted many international travellers over the years and would love to welcome you to our home for a real Aussie bush experience.

We seek a couple who can assist in the garden, general house, painting and projects and meals. We have a separate 3 bedroom cottage for accomodation with tv, internet & telephone. We hope to see you soon.

GARDENING, HELP AROUND THE HOUSE

We are a home-schooling family of 5 living on 1.5 hectares close to the centre of Bundaberg. Our property has extensive gardens as well as vegetables and fruit trees.

Our current focus is on planting Australian native plants in the gardens, removing weeds and mulching the garden beds. Helpers would need to be willing to work unsupervised once they are familiar with the tasks. We prefer a minimum stay of 4 days.

Accomodation is a fully self-contained flat with a queen bed and double fold-out bed, bathroom, kitchenette, fridge, TV, internet and use of swimming pool.

As a home-schooling family we enjoy meeting people from around the world and helping our children learn about different places and cultures.
