Next Help needed: From August 2018
Kia ora,
We are Soultribe ink, a family art business based out of Pipiwai, rural Northland, NZ.

Our family consists of Mako, an artist specialising in Tattoo, traditional Maori art including wood and stone carving and design.
Philippa, a Mum of many talents, operates a Yerba Mate Tea business from home and completes the admin side of Soultribe ink, also loves to build things, and passionate about natural health.
Ahika, our adventurous toddler.
Loki, our sweet French bull-mastiff dog who loves to cuddle and sleep in sunbeams.
We are also expecting a new addition to the family in July :)

We are fortunate to work primarily from home on a 100 acre farm where we have a tattoo and art studio along with a carving and building shed and Tea office.
From December-April we spend the majority of our time traveling New Zealand operating a mobile Tattoo and Art Studio from festivals and events across the country.

This is a lodge based 20 mins north of Whangarei, 2.5hrs north of Auckland.
We are looking for energetic people who have good initiative skills, are self motivated & have a happy nature. You will need a good understanding of the English language to help us maintain the lodge & grounds where required. At the moment we are looking for a person who is good at gardening such as weeding & pruning, mowing lawns and general gardening. Ideally you would also be a great help around the house doing some easy building and painting etc.
For 5 hrs work with Sundays off, you will receive accommodation, food, internet access and more. We are close to Whangarei, Sandy Bay and the Tutukaka Coast. These are great places to explore in your free time.

We live on our property of 14 hectares (35 acres) along with our daughter and her husband and children that live here in separate accommodation. The property is a private, peaceful setting among farmland, rivers and trees and is a 15 minute walk to view an amazing waterfall. We live 20 minutes from Whangarei City which is a vibrant city of cafes, retail and art galleries with an amazing waterside location as well as some beautiful beaches close by. Whangarei is just over 2 hours from Auckland and just over 1 hour from the beautiful Bay of Islands.

We are looking for someone (or a couple) who could help us with gardening, painting, cleaning and other maintenance jobs around our property. If you had building skills that would be a real bonus as we run a business on our property building cabins.

We have a lovely double bedroom for you inside our home and we also have 2 lounges which means there is plenty of room to chill out in and enjoy your own privacy if wanted.

We are hap... more inside

We are a busy family of 5 with an additional 2 people also living in a self contained flat - Nana and Poppa.
3 children aged between 7 - 13 a small dog and a boat.

We are hoping that in exchange for a place to stay and sharing dinner with us that you will help out with gardening work around the property. Stays can be from 1-2 nights up to a few weeks depending on visitors requests. Gardening work would involve pruning flax and weeding gardens, trimming small trees and hedges. This isn't difficult work and most capable people could perform these tasks.

We love going to the beach and doing all the fun beach things like diving swimming and fishing in summer months weather permitting.

We live at Tutukaka in a three bedroom house and are I km from the local shops. At Pohutukawa Pocket we ask for no smoking, no pets and no drugs. There are many walks, beaches and bays to explore and one can go deep sea diving at the Poor Knights.
We are 80 but active and have a large subtropical garden here on the coast. We require help with house work, pruning, planting, mulching and propagating. But occasionally we might need help with structures or similar.
In return, we will supply a comfy bed and great accommodation with good meals. Three to seven days would probably be a good amount of time to stay. As we have no landline, you would need your own phone.
