Come and experience real farm life on a small scale! We've got lots of exciting projects going on at the moment.

** Looking for 1-4 helpers as soon as possible, from 12th till 19th January then from 27th January onwards **

** Ideally helpers will be practically minded, mature (23+ yo), hard working and able to work without supervision at times. People with interest in sustainable living, permaculture and experience in building are best suited but it is not a must **

We have `finished` building our eco home (green building, passive solar, totally off-grid) mostly ourselves and with the help of great helpx travellers.

On our 26ha farm, we run about 80 sheep and 12 beef cattle with calves. This is a breeding farm, which means we produce baby animals for the sale rather than fatten them for slaughter. We have a small White Galloway stud with extremely pretty cows :)

We are trying to develop our place and our self-reliance further following some permaculture principles. W... more inside

We are looking for a cleaner in warm sunny Northland to help with 2 hours of cleaning per day to start as soon as possible. Minimum stay 4 weeks or more, and one day off per week. Working holiday visa required. The wages you earn, equates to the amount paid for accommodation in a share dorm, wifi and free washing. Morning tea and biscuits after cleaning. We are a small character hostel with two large lounges, log fire and a balcony with seaviews. We are located 70m from the beach and 5 minutes walk from the centre of Paihia. Lots of jobs available in hospitality, so a great place to stay for the summer months.

I am a lady farmer running our family farm which is an 80 hectare sheep and beef property, with horses.

We have a close country community with my sister and family living nearby, so guests can expect to experience New Zealand rural life. You will live as family in our home with your own bedroom and bathroom upstairs.

Duties will be varied and include cooking, housework gardening, help with the animals and general farm duties.

There are several horses to be cared for and exercised, if you are a very capable rider, as some of the horses are young.

This would suit 2 friends or a couple with their own transport.

This is not such a great place if you have allergies.

Because I have arthritis my mobility is somewhat limited.

We welcome self-motivated adults who will roll up their sleeves and enjoy the tasks. People who like to make a difference and are happy to socialise with us and our friends.

Seeking versatile person/ couple for a couple of days work doing 4 hrs per day in exchange for accommodation and food.

I'm about to move house so I'm seeking help with easy jobs like washing windows, packing furniture, general light cleaning, a little weeding and painting some garden edging.

They're not big jobs or hard jobs but I am unable to do them as I cannot kneel due to a knee injury.

They are perfect jobs for an individual or a couple who just want to enjoy the glorious weather and chill close to the beach for a few days.

Must be non smokers and must have your own vehicle so you can enjoy this location at it's best.

I live in a lovely quiet suburb in sunny Northland, literally 200 metres from the beach.
There are also 10 other amazing beaches all within 30 mins drive.
Great surf casting, surfing or paddle boarding opportunities.
Fantastic cafes in the area too.

Hi there travellers. I am a single dad that works full time in the building industry. What I am seeking here is someone that can babysit/Nanny my girls (aged 10&12) when they get home from school and clean. Cooking skills would be great but I'm happy to cook too, but would love to try something new from another country. I'm pretty easy going and chilled and enjoy a beer or wine after work.
Note...I would prefer woman as I don't really want random men around my girls.
If your keen to experience a small town in New Zealand and are happy to look after kids after school hours, clean etc then flick me an email or message.
There is a car available for you use.

Look forward to hearing from you.
Regards Chad

I have been living in Whangarei for most of my life - love it here :-) I`ve just purchased a beautiful waterfront bach 15 mins from Whangarei CBD. I`m also flatting with social / active flatmates and there`s lots of fun things to do nearby.

With these homes there`s plenty of work to be done around - including painting, gardening, housework etc.

I`d like to meet some travellers to help out with these and happy to introduce / show around some of northland`s best attractions / secrets!
Can provide sleeping quarters, food and drinks for around 4 hours work per day.. Can also potentially provide a vehicle to borrow / further allowances dependent on the level of work..

Also if anyone has any specific experience and job history as a mechanic or builder I would happily pay a good hourly wage for some work.

Would prefer to host helpers with experience or those in 20s+
