Unavailable from 28 May until 18 June.

Over the next few months we will pruning our chestnuts and olives and other general maintenance. I generally work with you.

We are 'half way' up the Kaipara Harbour's South Head peninsular, and some 70km north west of central Auckland. We grown chestnut and olives, plus other fruit trees. Helpers would assist orchard maintenance and associated activities, and harvesting chestnut and olives in season, .

Chestnuts harvest starts in mid-March, for about a month, and then, in due course, the olive harvest. And then there is always general orchard maintenance.

Now restoring two Chevrolet 1929 trucks - one a tip truck, the other a van. Assistance couold be useful - a mechanic or a cabinet maker/boat builder/kitchen maker.

Chestnuts fall from their trees - in our orchard around second week of March, and go on for another 4-6 weeks. The fallen nuts need to be picked up every 2-3 days - with our vacuum machine or by hand. The... more inside

We live on a 10 acre lifestyle property with various animals, both pets (dogs and cats) and chickens. At times we also raise calves and pigs. We are developing our orchards, so far Feijoas, Apples, Hazelnuts. Other fruits around the house orchard and still planting. We also have bee hives, in case anyone has bee allergies.

Mainly outdoor work, weeding, mulching, planting. Helping a bit around the animals, cleaning out, etc. We have a vegetable garden and don't use harmful sprays. Sometimes Housework, cleaning, sanding, etc.†We are renovating our house, an old villa and also the cottage we use for Homestay.
We offer accommodation and meals (main meal evening) for 4-5 hours work per day, flexible as to how it works out, can be 8 hours one day and off the next. No public transport, so if you want to get out and about often, then own transport needed. Papakura or Pukekohe (20mins drive) are the closest for trains or buses. Auckland airport is approximately 45 minutes drive away.

Start or finish your New Zealand adventure with us. We're looking for some help from now until the 20th of May.

We have the perfect location for you, whether you've just arrived and you're getting set up or about to leave and are selling a vehicle.

We're on State Highway 16, the alternate route north from Auckland so we're an excellent choice if you're heading towards Cape Reinga or the Bay of Islands, or a stopping point on your way south again. We're about 40 minutes by car from downtown Auckland.

We're close enough to Auckland that you can get there if you want to.

We're a family of six who try to live sustainably off our land. Sheep, chickens, ducks, turkeys, and bees share our sweeping views of the Kaipara Harbour. We have numerous varieties of fruit trees including a few exotic species and large areas for vegetables and berries.

On Friday's we open our home for anyone to come and enjoy the best pizza you'll eat in New Zealand. (Usually between 20-40 people)

Here on the beautiful Awhitu Peninsula (98kms from Britomart Transport Centre) keen, fit, strong and practical helpers, are welcome. Singles or a couple. You do get fitter, stronger, more tanned, dirty and sweaty doing gardening and farm work.
Due to an injury the main help needed is with garden maintenance. You will need old clothes that you don't mind getting dirty and strong shoes or boots and a sun hat, even in Winter. Maybe some weed spot spraying and thistles to remove. Also, if you're able there are some farm jobs to be done, fencing - repairs and basic building repairs are also possible depending on your experience. We run our beef farm in an environmentally friendly and sustainable way. We have been awarded 4 Environmental Awards. You sleep in our Farmstay building but meals TV etc are in our house. We allow people to check their emails on our computer but we have a very small basic internet package. If you have a "Spark" account for your phone it will work well. We prefer couples or two people traveling together. We need 4 hours a day housekeeping and gardening but this leaves you free to have a job or explore Auckland too.

We are a young family (Emma, Andrew, and three wee boys Albert (8) George (6) and baby Henry (2) and a baby bump due in June

We live in, Oratia, West Auckland and are looking to offer a homestay close to the centre of Auckland and also close to the world famous West Coast beaches, Piha and Bethalls. We are nestled in the foothills of the Waitakere ranges on a private acre big section. We are surrounded by native bush and get woken each morning to the sound of the Tuis singing in our Kowhai trees.

We are close to a train station which takes you directly into the CBD and the heart of Auckland City - the best of both worlds we think. Its good though if you have a car.

You have your own room and privacy to stay in and offer full board in terms of breakfast, lunch, and dinner. In ... more inside
