My property is just out of Cromandel town situated at the foot hills of the Coromandel ranges. I work with permaculture principals and predominantly organic. My main income is through the pottery. You will find a big very productive veggie garden, a large orchard, glass house, chickens, 2 milking goats and a cat. The buildings are my pottery studio and kilns, the main house is an earth house, a sleep out and sheds. At the moment I am building an other little earth house just like the big one for helpers' accommodation.
I need help all around...in the veggie garden, orchard, and generally on the land ... the work is quite a verity. At the moment I am also looking for help with building the clay walls of the little earth house which is a real fun project.

I am very well organized very productive and enjoy people who are open minded, happy to put their hands to work and enjoy this kind of life. I like Helpers to stay for a month and I prefer non smoking. Thanks you wonderful help... more inside

I have just bought a lovely house with a beautiful big acre of land. Its a bit of a fixer upper and I need some help with painting, water blasting, work in the garden and general chores. It's a really nice spot with a pretty little stream running through the property. I'm looking for some nice people to come and help me. There is a lovely beach a five minute walk away to enjoy after work.

Hello!
Our land is 5 acres of regenerating bush and developing food forest in the Kauaeranga Valley, close to Thames. We are committed to developing our land to provide us with food, firewood and clean water. We have established large vegetable gardens and fruit and nut tree orchards. There are beehives and chickens on our property.

We have 2 young children whom we homeschool and we also work from home. (Software development and we also sell "Extractigators" which are tools for removing gorse). We seek help with our gardens, firewood, weed management and building projects, as well as seasonal tasks of harvesting, preserving and processing food.

We're happy to share our knowledge and always have something interesting on the go - Harvesting, planting, winemaking, fermenting, seed saving, grafting, cooking, developing our skills with appropriate technology. We love to meet enthusiastic helpers who have skills to share and a positive attitude. We offer accommodation in a small c... more inside

Hello travellers. Right now we need a helper to mow our lawns and move compost with an electric wheelbarrow! We're a creative couple (empty nesters) living our dream in the beautiful Kauaeranga Valley. We welcome fun, positive, and mature visitors to stay, and help us out with general gardening , firewood, weeding, lawn mowing, housework, cooking, stone wall building, and odd jobs around the property. To enjoy your stay with us you will need to be reasonably fit and strong, confident with gardening tools and machinery, and be honestly happy to put in some effort. We provide nourishing meals (we are meat eaters and prefer you are also) WiFi, and a cosy bedroom. You will need to be comfortable with sharing the bathroom and toilet because we dont have the luxury of an ensuite. In exchange we really appreciate your help for approximately 4 hours of fairly physical work each day. Please note that if you are a couple we expect both of you to help. The cleaning up after meals is shared ... more inside

Our lodge is a BnB set in 15 acres of temperate rainforest. We are looking for people who like to be outdoors, who can help with the gardening, cleaning, maybe even some light carpentry work. We love meeting people and opening our home to them.

We are a family of five living on a communally shared block of regenerating bush land in the Northern Coromandel. We live near wild pristine beaches and have clean streams and waterfalls within walking distance of our home. We are building our dwelling from local timber, earth and stone and have ongoing building projects to help with. We grow organic veges if you are into gardening, planting trees or playing football with the children so we can work on the property!
We strive to be resilient as a community, living off grid - looking after our own water supplies, solar power, composting toilets etc. Summers are busy here, winter pretty quiet with potluck dinners and potholing the 3km gravel driveway our main communal activity!
