We are a life style farm running a small number of dairy cows, Dexter cattle and dairy goats, horses, chickens, and our household pets .. cats and dogs.
Our property is beautifully planted in trees, and has quite a flower garden, big lawn and vegetable garden. We do a range of farm activities, and development here. Our horses are some riding, a number of brood mares, and young stock. We are close to the Thames estuary and at the gate way to Coromandel Peninsula
We are into spring now with young animals playfully enjoying the sunny days.
Warm weather is here.
We have been doing wood splitting for the last month or so. Always plenty of garden that needs a bit of TLC.
We would like our helpers to do 5 -6 hours a day. You will have good accommodation and meals. You must like animals and communicate well.

We are a friendly and relaxed family enjoying life on a one acre lifestyle block We have a cat, 4 chickens and 2 sheep,(the sheep are self-sufficient!)

We are going overseas from May 9th to June 19th and are looking for one or two helpers to come and stay to keep our daughter company while we are away and take care of our animals and mow the lawn when necessary.

Our daughter is a 25 year old teacher who works at the local primary school, teaching 9 and 10 year olds. She is easy-going, friendly and enjoys playing guitar, travelling, hiking, camping, yoga, meeting new people and good conversations.

Our house is comfortable, warm (with a heat pump and a wood-burning fire), and peaceful, in the countryside with lovely views of the surrounding dairy farm and Mt Kakepuke and Mt Pirongia.

We are less than 15 minutes from the Otorohanga Kiwi House, where you are guaranteed to see cheeky kiwi birds being fed and playing.

Waitomo Caves are spectacular and less than half an... more inside

We are currently looking for two people. (Dates required are from the 17th-27th of April, or as many days as you can offer during those dates). Specifically we will need help with our annual garlic cracking session. This entails sitting with the group of us in our home shed breaking open garlic bulbs to expose the cloves inside. The cloves are taken away from the core and places into three grades. Pretty basic work but will need resemley strong hands. There may be some other odd jobs from the follow lists below to break up your day from sitting if you were doing a long day to enable a couple of days off for travel.
:-).. if this sounds like a bit of you then by all means, read on.

We are two couples Tony and Lisa with two preschool children who grow produce for the local farmers market and then there is Terry and Maggie who have the available accommodation and live a 1 minute drive away. The help needed will be shared between these two families. The general help activities me... more inside

We have here what I hope is a great place for travellers to visit, experience and relax. We have a few projects on the go with planting in spring and a fleet of vans/caravans being renovated, along with other maintenance and hands on jobs for those that wish to help around the place for their keep. At times I am able to find paid work for those with work visas through several contacts, and for those that utilise this they are able to stay on at our place paying a minimal rent of $140 week which includes all food, internet, etc etc. Some travellors have stayed for months.

We try to create a great friendly environment for people to socialise. I spent over 8yrs travelling myself and the hope of this place, was to offer like minded people a base where on the other side of the world they may still be able to call it home, as I had the opportunity to do in several countries. Many friendships and travel companions have been formed here and my son and I hope that one day we will meet... more inside
