For the next three weeks (from 1 July 2018) we could really do with some help from an experienced horse rider(s) to exercise some horses and school a young horse.

We have an alternative lifestyle block with "off grid", barn living. (Please note we do not live in a proper house - but accommodation is comfortable - internet and phone reception is good).
We graze cattle and have horses.

Where possible we grow and eat our own veges.
Tasks would include fencing, weed control, seasonal native planting, help in the garden and general chores.
Also exercising and schooling horses (if experienced).

Close to beaches and 35 minute drive to Auckland central.
We have had some cool HelpX people over the last year and have really enjoyed their company.

Couples are welcome.

Thanks

Hello,

Kurt and Sherryn have a 20 acre lifestyle block and would like some help with small farm maintenance like stacking wood and weeding. So you need to be fit enough to do four hours work in exchange for three meals a day and a comfortable room.
Kurt is retired and a very good cook but a bit deaf so has the TV loud. We have wifi and you will need your own transport to enjoy the many beaches, regional parks and Matakana markets. Sherryn is a full time teacher.
Please bring your own alcohol.

Look forward to meeting you.

Our property consists of a two acre block that consists of a portion of the land devoted to vegetable gardens, flower gardens, a large orchard, as well as native and exotic trees. We have some poultry.
Our property is developed as a food forest that follow the principles of permaculture in the property and house design.
We have a number of experimental earth buildings on the property,
a turn of the century villa, and our own hand built earth dwelling.
Our property is designed to maximise the strengths of the land,
including conservation of water, and the impact of sunlight.

Hi there,
I am Alex of the Demoiselles who is currently anchored in around Hauraki Gulf. She is a 30m super yacht with full comfort.
I am looking for one or two enthusiastic backpackers to help me for cleaning, cooking and basic maintenance. You don't need to know how to sail, everything can be learnt on board.
The work times are not fixed and weather permitting, but usually no more than five hours a day.
Food and accommodation is included, the boat has an industrial kitchen, and you will have a room with a bathroom.
In the free time when the weather permits, we can go fishing, do water sports such as swimming, paddle boarding, water skiing or a biscuit ride, and learn about sailing and navigation.
On board of the Demoiselles, we have the opportunity to discover some of the beautiful islands in New Zealand.
I am sorry that we do not have couples on the boat for crew
It is easier for me to communicate by phone so if you are interested or have any questions please give ... more inside

We are April and Matt, we've been a couple for 9 years. Our son is 3, a super sweet empathetic, sharp, funny, tough little boy who loves people and does too many cute things. We live in a beautiful century-old house in north Auckland. Beautiful panoramic views. We would need a person who could help us to renovate our house and the garage that we would like to change by building an office. Some daily tasks such as cutting the grass.
Helping time is usually 4 hours a day but flexible. Also, at anytime if you want to cook dinner for us, we will cover the cost of groceries. We would prefer take turns cooking dinner as itís a great cultural exchange opportunity.
Room with a double bed. We have a spare car that you can use if you have a valid driverís license.
There will be much interaction with local people in the area who are ever so friendly and laid back. The community is very strong and people are always doing interesting things, willing to help you out, willing to teach, and wil... more inside

Close to Auckland, we're great for the beginning or end of your journey.

Cozy caravan available, suitable for one or two people, to stay on beautiful Ti Point in exchange for 4 hours work per day (6 days/week) of gardening, landscaping, and light household maintenance/cleaning. We provide breakfast, lunch, dinner, tea and coffee.

We can help with transport to and from Warkworth.

We are a smoke-free family, no smoking at all, of any kind. If you smoke anything, please do not apply. We do drink and allow alcohol. We are omnivores, though we are supportive of and will accommodate vegetarian and vegan diets.

Meals are an informal affair, with everyone helping themselves to whatever is on hand. We are so busy, we appreciate any help with menu planning and meal preparation. We will provide "fixins" for lunches, which you will prepare yourselves.

Having your own vehicle is a definite plus, as we're in a remote area. At the minimum we ask that you have a valid driver'... more inside

We have a 26 H small farm 7 minutes drive from Silverdale which is approx 30 minutes north of Auckland. We graze beef cattle and sheep. The sheep are breed for handcraft wool comprising 2 breeds Polwarth and Romney.
My husband is retired and works on the farm, I am a part time primary school teacher at a local school. One of our sons lives at home and constructs wood-fired ovens on the farm.We have space for 1 or 2 persons and would love to have guests to stay in return for some help around the farm. The outside work could comprise tree planting, farm maintenance, gardening, weed control and building maintenance. If necessary because of the weather there are some inside jobs-- seedling transplanting, house cleaning etc. We are an easy going family We prefer people who eat most things, as we find having to cater for vegetarians etc to be disruptive to grocery/meal planning. We would treat you as part of the family and not as unpaid labour
