I am a retired potter/wood worker/photographer who has moved into hobby fruit wine making. My daughter and I make mainly feijoa and cranberry wines. I grow both fruits, and have a tunnel house for growing house hold veggies. On my section I am renovating spaces for the production of the wine and landscaping to tidy up the section. I have good intentions but am pretty disorganised and work with little structure so any help moving things forward would be appreciated.

You'd have a double bedroom in a four bedroom, 2 bathroom house with 3 living spaces. I can offer meals and interesting conversation on the deck over wine.

I'm looking for 4 hours help a day with various projects including construction, landscaping, wine making, horticulture, and house maintenance. If you're able to proactively find things that need doing I'd really appreciate it or my daughter will be around to help prioritise projects.

We are a family with two kids age 8 and 12. we recently moved to Westport and have a 1930s bungalow that needs some TLC.
Most of this is not skilled work, but can be messy! Cleaning and fixing gutters, sanding and painting etc.
Some gardening also.

We spend a lot of time off camping and know the local area quite well from holidays. The local beaches are good for surf and both north and south of here are many walks and cycle tracks.

Hi. My name is Steve.I am nurse who works in Westport and I live in a house at a beautiful beach in Hector (37 km north of Westport near Granity). Accommodation is in the house with a queen size double bed in the house. The house is a comfortable open plan with good living space and a big garden and native bush backdrop. My house is right at the beach where we often see Hector's dolphins swimming up to 20 meters from the coast. If you're lucky you can find Pounamu (green stone / jade) here and because it is on the beach you can keep it and turn in a jewel for yourself. I can use helpers year round for gardening, general household maintenance, painting etc. I am also developing a small farm block at Mokihunui 10kms from Hector. I Will provide accomodation, meals and snacks in exchange for four hours help a day, plus help with the dishes. There are a lot of things to do and see around Hector. The start of the Charming Creek walkway is 800 meters from here, and we are 25 km from old co... more inside

We have a semi self sufficient micro farm. We raise pigs, sheep, chickens and ducks, and grow seasonally our own vege's and fruit. Helpers tasks include feeding the animals, gardening, farm chores and current projects. Kaniere is 6km east of Hokitika which is a coastal tourist town. Coming here means you become part or our extended family and we prefer stays of at least a week. Your accomadation is the "Lake House", a small batch in a forest setting over looking a small lake which is a wonderful swimming spot or a cute wee house truck tucked away in the forest.

I offer meals and accomodation in return for four hours work per day.
You'll have a comfortable room in my home with free WiFi.
I need help with indoor and outdoor tasks. Gardening, weeding, lawn mowing, cleaning, bedmaking, ironing, waterblasting and splitting firewood and painting. I run a small airbnb so summer work is timed around departure of guests.
At this time I'm preparing for the coming season.
Please consider whether or not you have some of these skills before you apply.
I do not need someone to cook (although help is appreciated in the kitchen) or childmind.

I enjoy cooking healthy food including meat.
Non smokers only please.

Short term help is preferred but this can be negotiated.

I live in the country so prefer people to have their own car so they can get out and about to see our wonderful area.
I'm happy to have a single girl without transport to stay for a few days. If you are happy to fit in with what I'm doing I can show you around.

I enjoy... more inside
