We are a family of four, Simon, Josie and our two boys. We are situated in the beautiful Yarra Valley, with views over the mountains. On our farm we grow a wide range of bio-dynamic fruit, nuts and veg including chestnuts, walnuts, nashis, avocados, strawberries, free range eggs and a mixed home orchard and vegetable garden. We are in the process of designing and developing the property at the moment.

We are currently building our farm shed (out of recycled materials) so will need help framing, cladding, and building barn doors. We are concentrating on cleaning up the property (clearing blackberry) and deer proof fencing our boundary. We need odd jobs done around the house, the home garden and home orchard. We are also continually collecting and storing fire wood. We are preparing areas for berry production, so there is work mulching/tree removal. We have just planted avocado trees that need to be mulched and watered. Strawberry plants are producing now and we will need to pick ... more inside

We own a beautiful sunny property in the Dandenong Ranges, one hour East of Melbourne city centre.

The house is very close to public transport. The bus stop is less than 50 metres walk from our house.

We are a short distance to: Yarra Valley wineries, Dandenong Ranges National Parks, cafes, galleries, artisan bakeries, beaches , ski resorts (3+ hours), country, museums, hiking and mountain biking trails (on our doorstep), public gardens.

There is also a brilliant yoga studio nearby which has several classes a week.

We love to have Helpers stay from all cultures and help us maintain and beautify our house and garden.
We speak French at home to our daughter sometimes and encourage fellow French speakers.
We have a dog too. Helpers who love animals are encouraged.

We enjoy sometimes getting time to show our guests around the local areas or taking them collecting pure spring water at nearby Mount Donna Buang.

Each Helper works for 4 hours per day for accommodat... more inside

Hello,

I'm Michael. I'm 38 years old and live by myself at Venus Bay with my pet wombat, Womby! It's a 5 minute walk to my local surf beach and 10-15 minute bike ride to local Venus Bay shops. In summer there is also a community bus.

Victoria's famous Wilson's Promontory National Park is about 45 minutes by car, Phillip Island 45 minutes and Melbourne 2.5 hours.

I have photographed for 20+ years. See my website for more information and local imagery. I enjoy swimming, cycling, music and HiFi (soul, funk, afro, latin, jazz, rock), ... more inside

Hello and welcome to beautiful Olinda.

GENERAL: There are several DIY projects on the go and it is not expected that one person can do all the work. I look forward to hearing from any skilled and experienced Helpx travellers that have a passion for gardening, or can do tree pruning and lopping. Repair post and wire fences, build dry stone and bluestone walls, pathways and steps, or a wood shed or help with some bricklaying and painting projects. Or can help develop a website, have design / drafting skills and can use AutoCad to edit some drawings. Or can help build a cabin / studio.

I have accommodation available for a couple or two travelling friends or single male or female helpers and you are welcome to stay as long or as short as you like.

There is also outdoor power and water available and plenty of room with easy parking access for helpers who are looking for their own space with their own caravan, campervan or for campers to set up their tent and camp out.

We are a 28yo couple, our 4 year old daughter and Mia the dog. We live in a leafy suburb of Melbourne and are looking for a single female to do some light chores and child care for our daughter, 3 days per week (around 20hrs). The room we have is quite large, which means you will have your own space to lounge with a private bathroom and toilet. Childcare experience is a must and we would ideally like people to stay with us for 3+ weeks (so our daughter has time to adapt). We regularly camp in the beautiful country of Victoria, we love cooking, playing sport, making music and drinking the odd glass of wine ;) We are 40 minutes drive from Melbourne CBD and around 50 minutes to the beaches of Mornington Peninsula. We have been helpers through this site and honestly didn't have a great experience, so enjoy taking the opportunity to give a good experience to anybody we meet through HelpX. In exchange, we offer two (mainly vegetarian) meals per day and many fun adventures! We look forward... more inside

We are looking for a physically fit individual or couple to help us with our front garden in exchange for accommodation, food & internet access. Accommodation is in Essendon, 100 metres from train station, so super handy to get into cbd. Close to shops and cafes too. Room is double bed with own ensuite with lovely back garden views. We live a sustainable lifestyle, so are working towards a minimal waste lifestyle, have vegetable garden and chickens, the house is designed and decorated sustainably. We're heavily involved in local community groups, such as boomerang bags, little free pantry and repair cafe. So if you want to learn about this type of lifestyle, this appointment is for you!

We want to relandscape the front garden and need help with the first stage, which involves removing a wall and paved area, taking materials for recycling and placing the remainder in a skip, cleaning up bricks for reuse, removing soil for reuse. Fairly physical work but happy to have flexible work... more inside
