We are a small family who live on a beautiful property on Cedar Creek surrounded by mountains and National Parks. There are many great walks, creeks and waterfalls surrounding us.
We are very interested in Sustainability and Permaculture and are working towards developing a sustainable farm lifestyle.
My Partner Emma is 35, I am 44 and we have a 4.5yr old son and our daughter who is 2 years old.
We have lots of room with a very spacious house and a self contained cabin for our helpex visitors.
Emma is a Dancer and Choreographer whilst I run a business building electric Cargo Bikes. I have a lot of experience in Permaculture and have studied Organic Farming. We have only recently moved onto this farm and so are still developing our systems. We have sheep, Dexter cows and chickens and are developing vegetable gardens and fruit tress etc.
We are looking for help in developing/running the farm and in some minor renovations of our house. A bit of childcare could be good if that ... more inside

Hello my dear helpers,

I am Josef and I'm looking for helpers to help me in my everyday life

I need someone (or 2 people) who can drive my car to the nice Sunshine Coast's beach (as often as the weather allows it) but also to other places like shops, friends' house and nice tourists places in the Glass House Mountains.
I need as well a bit help to take care of my organic vegetables garden (that has a lot of cherry tomatoes!) and fruit trees and feed the chicken.
Then, I need help to cut and prepare the veggies for lunches and dinners. You will get good and healthy vegetarian food. I cook and make dishwashing for you.
My house is located in the Glass House Mountains, close to the Australian Zoo (very famous!) and 60km north of Brisbane.
You will have your own bedroom in the house, with a comfortable double bed. Very good Wifi, but that needs to be switched off at night.

Please, understand that this helpx is not like the others. It's about spending time together and disco... more inside

Townsville is a tourist hub, with access to beach, mountains, reef, rainforest and bush. Cranbrook is a leafy suburb across the river from the university, close to Riverway (free freshwater swimming lagoon, with art gallery) and shops, and on the bus route. There are large trees around my house, and there is always gardening or raking to do. My mother lives in a house 3 minutes away, and I help her with her garden.
Accommodation is an upstairs bedroom with a single bed, plus a mattress for a second person if required. We share the bathroom and kitchen - in exchange for gardening, maintenance, painting, cooking or housework. I show my dachshunds, and they like to oversee human pursuits like digging, weeding and walking. May assist with transport to local hiking spots, beach, or parks, or may be able to pick you up from train or bus station outside business hours. Prefer helpers who are non-smokers with family-friendly values, and able to work unsupervised when I go out. Al... more inside

We have a 40 acre property located in the Whyanbeel Valley and adjoining the Daintree National Park and we are 25 minutes from Port Douglas. We have mixed crops, hay, cut flowers, rare plants, ducks, geese, peacocks and chooks. I am really interested in organic growing, permaculture, sustainable farming and agroforestry and apply these principals to the farm. We also grow a lot of our own fruits and veg. Our place is very pretty, lots of gardens, waterfalls, rainforest and freshwater swimming spots. Wildlife is abundant. No mobile phone service but we have wifi.

The work is mostly labour based and includes tree planting, weeding mulching, cleaning (outdoors), pruning. You need to be fit and strong and defiantly not afraid of getting your hands dirty or working in the outdoors.

I provide clean air-conditioned accomodation, all meals, alcohol in moderation. I expect 20 hours per week in return.

If you want to work more than 20 hours then we will pay you. You will need to comp... more inside

We are Todd and Wiebke, Marlo and Millie and we live on an avocado and lime farm outside of Toowoomba (1.5 hrs from Brisbane). We have horses. And we also have a border collie named Pebbles.
Wiebke works in accountancy and Todd is an aircraft engineer and works on helicoopters. Todd is Australian and Wiebke grew up in Germany.
We have both travelled a lot through Europe, South East Asia, Canada and Australia and we know how great it is to see a bit of the local life instead of one hostel after the other.

Volunteer work could include:
: feeding the animals
: farm work
: gardening
: house cleaning etc
: Horse training if experienced
: stick picking
We prefer helpers that are good with children.
You don't need to know anything about farming but as long as you give everything a try and your best effort then we are happy to have you.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
