*** At the moment we only have space for helpers who are willing to camp (bringing their own tent, sleeping bag etc) in exchange for just 2-3 hours work a day plus 2 days off a week. Do drop me a line if you are interested :) ***

Set on the edge of the pretty fishing village of Beer on Devon`s south coast, this 39-bed Youth Hostel is in need of a willing helper over the coming months to help keep it looking it`s best.

The work here at YHA Beer mainly comprises of 4-5 hours a day of cleaning (inc making beds) with some occasional gardening and painting, and with 2 days off a week.
It`s not particularly glamorous (can include a fair share of cleaning toilets!) but the reward of living in this lovely village just a 10 minute walk to the beach, I think, makes it well worthwhile :)

Your accommodation would be in your own room in the small on-site staff flat which you`ll usually share with one other member of staff. There`s a shared bathroom and small kitchen for you to cook y... more inside

UPDATE: WE ARE NOT TAKING ANY MORE HELPX UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE. THANKS.

Hi! We live in a converted windmill (see www.barringtonwindmill.com for a brief history) in about 2 acres of land including a swimming pool, with two dogs (a Basset Hound and a Springer), approximately 8 miles south-west of Cambridge. Cambridge is about 10 minutes away by train, and the nearest station is Shepreth - about 5-10 minutes by bike, which you have available to use. The same train line also gives access to London - about 50 minutes away.

We have 3 boys, Joshua (10), Phillip (8) and Henry (6), and require a Spanish-speaking mothers' help to provide (4-6 hours per weekday) assistance with looking after the boys, some housework, and occasional babysitting, in return for board and lodging (own room with free wifi). The reason for requiring a (native) Spanish-speaker is that in 2012 we returned from a 2 1/2 year stay in Seville, and we would like our boys to practice Spanish by being spoken to in this... more inside

Hi there

Our home is rented out as a self-catering holiday cottage so we are keen to keep it spick and span, inside and also outside so there's gardening and spring cleaning as well as general property maintenance.

We are fully booked all summer, but will be able to host suitable applicants sometime during September or maybe October only.

If you are really happy to do GARDENING, SPRING CLEANING AND GENERAL PROPERTY MAINTENANCE, ETC, please consider coming to stay with us for a few days (3 days working = 1 day off)

A couple would be best, but a solo traveller will be fine if you`re completely happy to work on your own (I explain things well for you).

We welcome active, working guests to help just 4 hours a day, in the morning.

ABOUT US: A happy, busy, cheerful couple. We are experienced, kind, generous, 5* hosts who will really make your stay memorable and fun. We are also volunteers, when we travel, so we know how to create a good experience.

PLEASE NOTE THAT SOME OF THE PHOTOS ARE UPSIDE DOWN AND THERE IS NO WAY TO CHANGE THIS. Even tried rotating the photos before uploading but always end up upside down whichever way they are uploaded??? Anyway hope you can mange by turning screen around. Photo of the farm in Wales is fine for some reason. It is the third photo and is not actually where you will be staying but it is possible to visit sometimes. The other photos are of the allotment and double room in Liverpool where you will be staying.

Double room available in cute three bedroom house. We have a large allotment near to the house where we grow organic vegetables. We also have a beautiful and historic mountain farm in the Snowdonia National Park which we visit occassionally now, it is a great place for a retreat to get away from everything and soak up the fresh air. We grow organic fruit for our own consumption but do not currently have any animals. We also have 23 acres of woodland to manage. It is not viable to... more inside

We are looking for a handyperson/carpenter/builder.
We would welcome someone to assist with various building, maintenance and repair projects around our house, outbuildings and garden.
We are a family of four/five + 2 dogs and some chickens.
We all live in a scenic, very rural area of Surrey next to several farms and stables. London is 78 kms away.
Our house is a cottage with a garden. The nearest village is about 2km away The five of us are: Noel (librarian); Louise (teacher); Jannie (brother of Louise, retired): Jan (20, mostly at university) and Flavia (17 who likes art and animals). We also have a lodger.
Work is needed for about five hours daily, five days a week. The person should be friendly and outgoing, this could be a position for a more mature helper. Longish term stay is preferred.
In exchange we offer board and lodging, in a studio in the garden. There is Wi-Fi, computers and TV. The locality is brilliant for running, walking, biking and swimming.

We are based in a Grade II* Romantic Gothic mansion located just south of the English Lake District. It is situated in 70 acres of woodland and gardens on the shores of Morecambe Bay. It provides a quiet and reflective environment for a meaningful break.

The help required is varied and might include cooking, helping in the garden, household, doing office tasks, decorating etc. We also have various building projects at present that you could get involved in. We are always interested to hear about any specific skills you may be able to offer. Although the work is not always strenuous you will need to be reasonably fit and active to come on a volunteering visit.

In the Kadampa Art Studio there is scope to volunteer in the Finishing Team, assisting with sanding and filling etc. of Statues and Temple Adornments bound for destinations around the world. Short and longterm voluntary visits are available.

Your weekends are free time so an ideal time to travel into the Lakes, Conist... more inside

Hi, we are Jane and Dave. We live in a small village in rural Lincolnshire in the East of England where we keep bees, chickens and pigs and grow fruit and vegetables in our large garden.
Weve travelled a lot ourselves, so its great to welcome people from around the world into our own home. We are now fully booked for 2018, except for the month of November, and we are interested in hearing from people who would like to stay in 2019.

This is a home stay, you live as part of the family, and it is really important for us to know that we will all get on well together. Part of living as a family also involves helping with ordinary household chores in addition to the `work` that you do - simple things like washing up, hanging out the laundry, helping with cooking - whatever needs to be done. It works best for us when people just slot in and take their share in anything that needs to be done. We`ll always make sure that you have enough free time to do whatever you want to do.
