I am a well travelled female, late fifties and live in a lovely old farmhouse at the beginning of Hadrian's wall in Cumbria, the gateway to The Lake District.

Due to me slowly recovering from a leg injury
I am looking for people to help me with simple housekeeping tasks and simple gardening tasks, a plus if able to do some minor painting jobs, but not essential. No heavy work involved.

The placement is best suited to people who love being in the country and enjoys walking and country pursuits and in healthy eating. There a lots of historical places close at hand to visit during time off.

The majority of the work is done in the morning and I try to make sure that all work is finished by 12pm in the day, so that there is lots of time for exploring. I need someone from around the 18th February, length of stay by mutual agreement.

I will be needing help if there is Handyman coming through London. I do need someone who can use tools (I have a good range, power and hand)and has that sort of lateral DIY brain tick! So please don't contact me unless you feel confident with that sort of skill and have a Handyman spirit! There is also some clearing-up in the garden .

The work will be 9.30-12.30m generally, for a six-day week. I am afraid I cannot offer food at the moment, as this is a difficult time, but you are welcome to cook here with the food that you provide.

I live in a very comfortable Victorian house just a few minutes walk from East Finchley Northern line tube.

I have travelled extensively, on the cheap, and enjoy meeting young travellers.

Again please do not contact me unless you are confident with tools, as that is what I need.

Join us at our magical Tudor house, in the beautiful countryside of East Sussex.

Hi, we are Nicky and Rob and we live in a small village called Northiam, near the historical cinque-port towns of Rye and Tenterden, surrounded by numerous Castles and gardens. We moved into our 400 year- old house in 2017 and have slowly been making it our own. We would love you to come and share our unique space for a few weeks, helping us continue to make our home and gardens special. The landscaping was helped and inspired by a famous horticulturist called Christopher Lloyd and needs some love and care to be restored to it's original beauty. Rob and I have travelled all over the world and love meeting new people, exchanging stories and experiences with open minded friendly helpers in our beautiful relaxed home. We have grown up children and grandchildren who have all flown the nest. Nicky comes from an art background and is passionate about interior design - so we have a rather quirky home!

I am looking for help in February or March with garden construction, to level and prepare an area and construct a greenhouse, build a pond (hole already dug) and use a chainsaw to cut logs. I am looking, preferably for a couple with energy and experience, to work together (or potentially one dynamic person with lots of experience). In return I have a lovely double attic room, and adjoined study, plus shared kitchen and living room to offer in my cottage, in a very picturesque village just south of Bath (one stop from Bath on the train), lots of lovely walks nearby. I will prepare lots of delicious wholesome vegetarian/vegan food for you and I have a very friendly cat.
