We are looking for someone from the end of November. A native Spanish (for us to practice and learn) to stay with us in Sandgate on the southeast coast in Kent.
I need help with online listings/projects, childcare and housework. I enjoy the all these jobs but its too much for 1 person now as I have guests come stay at times from Airbnb. I ask for 4.5 hrs a day, 5 days a week for all your fresh food and comfy bed in return.
Its an amazing corner of the world. Our house is 5 mins walking from the town and beach, 10 mins from the train station, 1 hour from London and the countryside is only 10 mins. The coast line is amazing, there are parks, country walks, pubs, language schools, a canal you can row on in Hythe, the city of Canterbury, Zoo's, Castles all very near by. There is a diverse mixture of cultures in our town to enjoy.
I am Kate. I speak English and some Spanish, a Mum who works and studies, Olivia is a charming 5 year old and Patch our cat is just 4 years old.

We will be hosting Helpx again in 2020 from Spring to Autumn and we offer a double room with en-suite bathroom, plus meals, for 20 hours manual work per person per week, based on working 9.00 to 13.00 five days, so this will best suit robust individuals! We have about an acre of ground at home, plus we have another acre and a half 10 mins walk away. We especially enjoy gardening, both flowers and vegetables. We welcome help with garden work, such as outdoor painting, weeding, and mending. The work involves active jobs, such as cutting brambles and wood, moving manure, digging etc, so you need a reasonable level of mobility/fitness, and it is helpful (but not at all essential) if you are willing to use power tools, such as strimmer and mower! If you would like to join us for a while you will need working clothes and suitable outdoor working footwear, as we still work outside if the rain is not too heavy! However, if the weather is too bad to work outdoors, ordinary domestic jobs s... more inside

Taking helpers April - September 2020

We, Mike 70, John 81, Peter 63 and Porage (the cat) 12, have been here for five years. The house is an old English farmhouse with nice neighbours and buses to local towns, train direct to London. We go to the gym at least three times a week, and Mike and Peter like walking and running.
We need someone to illustrate and edit the books we're writing, and to help with their e-marketing – also to help redesign the garden, cut the grass, prune trees, make a water feature, and dig. John is interested in interior decoration - stencilling and colour washing etc. Some of the gardening/construction is heavy work.

We are on the main line to London. The local gym has a good swimming pool. The walking scenery is excellent - Mike likes walking and running, and Peter goes swimming several times a week. We do not provide a computer for you to use, but we use WIFI all the time. The village library has computers for internet access free anyway.

Ben and Larry live the good life - or at least we try to!

Our farm is our home, work and life and every aspect of our numerous activities go towards making a life, not just a living.

Ours is a working farm and we aim to use traditional methods alongside modern techniques. We endeavour to take the best of the past and combine it with the best of the future. Our objective being to create a low environmental impact and respect for our surroundings, we think of it as ‘Heritage In The Making’.

We grow the majority of our own food and try to eat in tune with the seasons with home produced feasts for celebrations but all meals are special for us and provide an opportunity for daily gatherings.

We have two kitchen gardens, a herb garden and a poly-tunnel as well as our new venture of a market garden plot. From this, we can enjoy on our own vegetable produce almost all year round. We forage and gather in the hedge rows and preserve the seasonal abundance for the leaner months ... more inside

Hello!

I am looking for someone to come in November and December (NOT Christmas I’m afraid as we have family staying) to help me with the garden. I have a long thin London garden and I need to cover it with cardboard and sawdust in the lasagna gardening method ready for planting in spring.

Your room in the attic is newly done and you will have a top of the range Bo Concept sofa-bed. I have a radiator up there but it might not suit someone who feels the cold a lot; in December it can get a but chilly.

I have three kids of 13, 11 and 5.

If that sounds as if it would suit you - come stay! I'm looking for four hours help a day with weekends off - though occasionally I would love you to babysit in the evening, part of your hours, of course.

We live in South East London zone 2 in a quiet leafy conservation zone called Telegraph Hill. Nearest overground train is New Cross Gate and Queens Road Peckham. The network Southeast train station is Nunhead.

You can be in the W... more inside

This is a homestay in the South of England; the house has 4 bedrooms and is surrounded by open countryside and with a large garden.

**Please note that there are no more opportunities for Helpxers here in the rest of 2019 but feel free to ask for 2020**

My name`s Anthony; born in the UK in the 1950s I moved from London to Hampshire in October 2014. There is a variety of work to do here. When the weather is good enough we could be looking after the garden; clearing the weeds, tending the vegetable patch, building fences, chopping wood, cutting the grass, raking up the leaves, planting shrubs and trimming hedges. Inside the house there will be general cleaning and helping to prepare meals. Usually we would work as a team but it helps if you can self-motivate and work alone sometimes.

You have your own room and all meals, in return for just a few hours of work on five days a week; some free time each day and days off to go to London or other places. The room has a study area wi... more inside

From the middle of October we are looking for a strong, cheerful woman to help on the farm with animals, land, garden and maybe organising the house and outbuildings.

We will welcome you as part of our family, with lots of very good organic vegetarian food, good company and the chance to learn about everything here (including healing, dog psychology if you want). You will live in our home with your own cosy caravan in the fields with a log burning stove, as your bedroom.

We live in a lovely old house on a 16 acre organic smallholding set in beautiful woodland and countryside in Dartmoor National Park. We live with ponies and sheep, and dogs and cats, and some friends. We are Judy and Nick, friendly, interested in people, nature and the world in general. We have 22 year old twins who are mostly away at university.

6 weeks makes a good stay, longer is possible, and anything from 3 weeks considered
