We run an estate providing facilities, accommodation and hospitality to focus groups, community organisations and creative courses. We look after pigs, horses, ducks, geese and chickens. Much of the work our volunteers do during their stay here is involved with gardening, building, clearing, woodland management, and tending the animals.

We maintain animals on a small holding level, and sustain a large garden, orchard and hoop greenhouse for producing our own fruit and vegetable crops.

Situated on a gorge at the foot of the Black Mountain South West Wales, our estate is in total 220 acres with fields and woodlands. We host many volunteers each year from different organisations. Our volunteers stay in their own cottage which they share with other volunteers, we provide all the basic food essentials.

I am looking for volunteers this Spring and part of the summer thank you. It's mainly gardening but also some general maintenance. I take 1 or 2 people for anywhere up to 2 weeks and look forward to hearing from you if you are free.
My mother and I both live at Morfa Isaf, a coastal farm in a beautiful secluded part of west Wales. The Ceredigion footpath runs through our farm leading to the most glorious private beach. The views and serenity here have to be witnessed.
We have cows on the premises for many months of the year but rent the land out so have nothing to do with the running of the place.
My mother has gone into retirement (at home) leaving me to run the bed and breakfast and rental cottages outside and although we rent the land out, there is still a wealth to do around the farm which must be done by us, general maintenance, a lot of gardening, painting sometimes in the house during quiet months.

I now want to focus my time on finishing off a 3 year college course... more inside

Hi we’re Max (21) and Maggie (19) we’re living on Max’s parents (Sheila and Cliff) smallholding in the beautiful welsh countryside. The Property comprises 9 hectares of small fields bordered by majestic oak trees, that we are managing as a nature reserve and permaculture garden. The land also includes a small lake which is visited by wild ducks and a moorhen family.

The buildings include a barn conversion and a double Decker bus that we are renting out as holiday accommodation. We’re living in in the old farmhouse that dates from the 17 hundreds and Max’s parents live next door with his 12 year old autistic brother.

We ask volunteers to help 4 hours, five days a week. The hours are pretty flexible but we like to get most of the tasks done in the morning. The help will mainly involve general maintenance in the land and cleaning the holiday cottages (which is important in order to fund other projects) and helping to get the vegetable garden up and running as well as some cons... more inside

*Space available now*

We have lots of little jobs we need help with -one is the garden and the shed, which needs a lot of work/weeding/a deck building in the shape of a leaf??, and help re-building a shed, plus we need to build/make a new fence.

We live in a beautiful valley in West Wales about 10 miles from the sea, in an old stone house which we are renovating and could do with a little help in exchange for bed/food and some day trips out to lovely places.

We will be able to provide bed and full board - but can't guarantee to cook meals every night - although anyone who likes cooking is very welcome to! If you let us know food requirements we can stock up before you arrive. We are non-smokers and are not vegetarian, but are always trying to learn new veg recipes, so happy to try to provide veg diet if needs be.

A few hours (4-5) a day with weekends off would be all we'd ask. We are also on Couchsurfing so have had lots of different visitors here and enjoy having... more inside

An organic project in a stunning location, in Snowdonia.

In summer, we need help maintaining the woodland we planted in 1996, clearing bracken and bramble, doing sustainable construction projects and generally caring for veg plots and the land.
We will work together for 4-5 hours a day, depends what we are up to really, if it's a fun project we may work longer. Most days have a mix of weather; there is no need to work in the rain or extreme heat and the beach is nearby.
There is a tiny straw bale house on the land and a caravan for guests.
Would suit an individual or couple who are happy with very basic facilities. It may suit weekenders. Water is from a private supply.
Public transport (bus and train) is within 1 mile and we are on sustrans route 8.
Within 2 miles is a small shop and pub, within 5 miles many shops, bank, pharmacy, take-away food, restaurants and cafes.
There are many lovely places to visit here, such as Harlech castle, Potmeirion, beautiful beaches, the Ff... more inside

We are a couple.. Tom (38) and Jacqui (33).

We have been given planning permission for a dwelling under the new Wales-wide 'One Planet Development' policy, which offers people the chance to build a home 'in the open countryside' if they can demonstrate a commitment to various low-impact, environmentally responsible principles while also providing for the monetary needs of the household with a 'land-based livelihood' (in our case a tree nursery and processed fruit business) and the production of a large proportion of one's own food and fuel etc.

We like to think we can offer you a good return for your help, and that your contribution will be honoured. We have a good library, are passionate about what we do, discuss regenerative agriculture often and are well connected with other producers in the area. You will hopefully learn a lot with us.

We currently stay in a rented barn on a neighbouring farm. It's a one-room situation so unfortunately we can't offer accommodation her... more inside
